They arrived on time, punctuality was not a problem.
I went with them thinking they could do the carpet and hardwood floor on the same day or within a day or so. This was not the case. Two separate installers came on two separate days, the carpet installation was not scheduled until after the hardwood flooring was installed.
The installers were rough on the doors and walls. I was told to expect to have to touch up the paint. I just thought they were a bit rougher than they needed to be.
There is a bit of moulding that they did not do and did not tell me ahead of time that they would not do. I was expecting a completed job.

My house suffered a plumbing disaster in mid-June 2014 resulting in a tremendous amount of water damage. When the adjustor arrived on June 17, she brought in a sales rep from
. I was told that he would take care of all the arrangements and that I might choose any floor as long as it was comparable to the old one. I specifically asked if I could get a nailed down floor. In addition, because the dining room had no separation from the living room, that floor was to be replaced as well.

The sales rep informed me that the "floor was the last thing to be done" (not true, the millwork cannot be done or the wallpapering, and all my downstairs furniture is in storage). He told me he would call me on or before
17th and we could go over flooring options; he never called. When I--after several days--called, he said he was still getting samples; he repeated that for the next call. Finally--as all work is at a standstill in my house waiting for the flooring--he told me to go to the Williamsburg store and take a look at options myself. I grabbed a purse and hurried over.

The showroom was open (unlocked), but no-one was there. When the
returned 20 minutes later he immediately informed me that he could not help me because I had not made an appointment and I did not know the exact measurements. He then went and talked on the phone for another 20 minutes while I waited. As I looked at the floor samples I noticed that none were priced (is this normal?) Later when I asked him for specific prices he told me "it depends," I don't know" or the manager would have to look up the prices.

He then called the
store to get the dimensions. When he returned, he told me that if I wanted a hardwood floor, it was going to cost me considerably more. He said the most I could afford was flooring less than five dollars a square foot and that he did not think that anything was available. At that point--in tears--I left. I called the
store and told them I would not be doing business with them. Twenty minutes later I received a phone call from an somewhat apologetic person saying he would be back with me "first thing in the morning" with a proposal.

By 10am (no phone call again) I was annoyed enough to go to another flooring store. This store gave me a cup of coffee, showed me dozens of samples of floors that fit my budget, arranged every detail--including the installation date (next week! Yay!), list of instructions, and everything else. The floor is solid wood--nailed down--I am even able to afford the premium underlayment. It is my guess that
learned the dollar amount and did everything it could to keep as much of the direct payment as they could. They attempted to replace the floor with a floating floor, and I never was able to get a firm price on a single bit of the materials.

Carpet Installation reviews in Ballston Spa

I originally used
Ballston Spa Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
in 2005 to carpet a guest cottage. I selected a
Ballston Spa Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
material that developed a tear or pull shortly after installation (probably my fault).
Ballston Spa Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
came over to repair the damage. When I asked him about the longevity of the repair, he stated that the free repair would be guaranteed for life. About six months ago. I ordered a area rug from him for a new condo. It fit perfectly and is perfect. Yesterday, I had a staircase carpeted and it came out very well. The installer was meticulous and the job came out very well. I enjoy using local well respected merchants and am very happy with their services.

and his brother did the difficult job in one day on my third floor,

apartment. The installation was very well done; I found no defects. Scraping the old, disintegrated pad off of the wood floor took much effort and time. The space was complex; it required two long seams which are now invisible. They cleaned up well and hauled away the old materials. It now looks great!

The guys were on time can worked fast! They screwed down all the subfloor. They even cut the closet doors so they would fit with the new wood floor. The floor looks amazing! I would totally use them again. They did a great job and cleaned everything up when they were done.

was extremely professional. He stretched the carpet in one bedroom as well as the hallway.
He called me a number of times to let me know how his earlier scheduled jobs were coming along.
We highly recommend his service!

They performed on time with a very good product. I had to interact with them several times during the process, including at 6:00 one Friday night when the neighbors complained about the polyurethane odor. The contractor volunteered to leave home and deal with the issue - which he did.
I'm uncertain about my evaluation on the price. Their price for the carpet was significantly lower than a competitor, but I didn't get completing prices on the refinishing.

Ballston Spa Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
helped me throughout the process and was very friendly. I communicated to him what I needed and he got back with me a few days later with a quote which was competitive with the other quotes I had received. I chose to go with J & P Custom Floors due to the exceptionally friendly customer service and because they were a Iocal company. It turned out to be the right choice as
Ballston Spa Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
personally delivered it to my house and even carried it into my living room, for no extra charge. I am very happy with the service I've received from this store.

We just completed a major remodel of a house we bought and
Ballston Spa Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
was amazing to work with! They have a great selection of stylish products that look amazing in our home, but more important, their staff is fantastic. I was lucky to work closely with both

never failed to be available or to promptly return my (frequent!) phone calls. No request of ours was too big or too small and he was always happy to get me the information I needed as quickly as possible. He even made me laugh during an otherwise stressful time as we pulled off a one month remodel as first time home buyers. He is very knowledgeable about the products and the installation process.

is a delight to work with as well. She has an amazing attention to detail and a great eye for design. She helped us pick out some tile for our kitchen that I hadn’t spotted, but now love as it is just perfect in our kitchen. She is also very careful to explain all of the features and care needs for the products you pick, helping to make sure that the investment will last. Thank you
