"I asked for a one stop shop, because I had previously bought the same size pool from Custom decks and spas, in Virginia Beach in 2000. They had a showroom, you pick out the pool you want, you see it with everything so there are no surprises. They even provided the contractor that built the deck around it.
, however,
, sat down with us at his store, showed us a sample of the wall construction of the pool we wanted to buy. He also showed us sample liners. We said we wanted the same size as what we had before. I asked if they had a finance program, but he said we were 200 dollars short. I said I could order extras accessories, but he said he didn't advise us to do that, he would rather have us pay in full up front which we did. Looking back I wished I had of financed it.
, the assistant manager, then told us the installation was separate charge. An additional cost. He recommended Eagle Merchants, and gave us their price sheet. An additional 1800.00 for installation of the size pool we ordered: 18x33.
then asked if we could pick up the equipment via our own vehicle. I said that was not practical for us. He delivered it
2nd. He is not good at communicating with the customer after the sale. We never heard from him after the sale. Items were missing when
, from Eagle merchants installed the pool,
7th, so there was a delay in completing installation by a few hours. We had to return to the store later to pick up other missing items already paid for. Eagle Merchants tried to bill us extra 500.00 in addition to the 1800.00 already charged for installation because of the type of pool we ordered but this was never mentioned to us until the pool was completed, nor was it on the price sheet given to us from
.
, a representative from Eagle Merchants said in a voice mail to us that it was because the pool design was semi-inground, but the pool was not installed as semi-inground. All the boxes, pallets, packing material was left for the customer to dispose of. The sand filter was filled with sand by Eagle Merchants, but the drain valve was left open, so when the pool was filled with water and the filter was primed, the water leaked out along with an unknown amount of filter sand. One of the hoses was also not tightened. The yard was torn up from the bucket loader used to level the sand for pool installation. Electricity for the pump was also the responsibility of the customer, and had to be hired separately. No ladder is provided for this pool, we ordered that separately.

"I hired
Pool and Spa to update a 20 year old in ground pool, install pavers over the poured concrete pool deck, seal the pavers, upgrade to 3 inch drains in the pool area and install a new heater. All of the work was done on time and with good quality. I was hesitant to have this work done due to concerns about all the different sub contractors and time needed to complete the work. Based on reviews I read on Angie's List I contacted Larsens. They were back in touch with me within a day, I met with
within a couple days and after considering my options I selected Larsens. Their price was the highest I received, however, I paid for the peace of mind of hiring a company with a good reputation and in the business as long as they have been. I was told to expect the job to take 2 weeks, that it would be dirty and noisy and that was accurate on all counts. The workers who were here, worked hard and did not waste time. They cleaned up the area as best they could but cutting the pavers is dirty/dusty work.
checked in with me periodically throughout the project and let me know what to expect. It's been about a month since the work completed and the pool and deck look great. I'd recommend Larsens to anyone considering a similar project.

"Barefoot pools provides weekly service always good communication with condition of pool and spa. Had a problem with spa draining to pool level. Called barefoot pools came by house within the hour came to a decision what needed to be done. they replumbed my pool and installed new efficient pump cutting down on my electric bill by $30.00 a month. The service is excellent they treat my pool like it is theirs. Spend a lot of time out of town any problems they take pictures and notify right away and ask why. Best pool company I have had, since I have bought this house and inherited the problems they have made my pool in top shape and with reasonable price.Would recommend for the great service

"We were having a problem with our chlorinator , which we attempted to solve on our own, but the cap was jammed, and we ended up breaking a valve while trying to unscrew it.--- This meant we would not have been able to run the pool pump until the problem was fixed. Since it was a Saturday morning, and we were also having algae problems, we didn't want to wait through the weekend, so I was on the lookout for someone with 24 hour emergency services. Left a voicemail that was returned within the hour; Technician was out in the early afternoon, and solved the problem for us.
I really appreciate the prompt and friendly service. I imagine the repair might have been less expensive, were it during regular work hours, but the cost did seem fair in view of the timing of the emergency. The Chlorinator works great, and we haven't had a problem with it since installation.

replaced a light that was leaking outside the tub with a properly insulated one, and made certain it was secure and nonleaking. He advised me not to use the tub until I had called a licensed electrician and even told me what type of line he should use. I wrote everything down at the time and when the electrician arrived he verified that

went very well. First of all,

, who works in the office, treated me with patience and professionalism taking the time to explain the products and answering all of my many questions. In addition, he answered more questions with my phone calls between the showroom visit and installation of the product. There were different people involved in the process of refinishing my pool and I cannot remember all of the names; however, I would like to say thank you to all those who made my pool look so beautiful. With regard to prep work,

on a hot and humid day. They worked extremely hard to make this pool look so nice! Our pool is wonderful and it looks amazing. We chose the Blue Granite and it is spectacular. I could not have asked for any better people to resurface the pool and to do such a wonderful job in the process. There were years of experience in the pool during the install and that was reassuring. Also, it was fun to watch the process as there seems to be an art to it.

"We found

and Hottub911 thru the SwapSheet paper. (Awesome local resource for everything in area and local events too!)
Reno Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
called back within 1 hour. Since we called later in the day he made an appointment for the next morning. He arrived promptly, was very nice and professional. He did the initial look/see, then advised us on the current status of our hottub.
After explaining the current status and what the issue was, he gave us options of either replacing the entire unit with new or replacing with a refurbished unit. He refurbish's alot of units.
We decided to go with a new unit that is stainless. We had done research online and JUST the motherboard replacement was in the $900-$1200 range! His price for entire new unit, removal, replacement and control panel was $650!
We planned to be gone next day so arranged with him for following day for the replacement. Again, he arrived promptly, was very pleasant and finished at his quoted time frame. He kept his work area tidy and cleaned up.
When he was finished he stayed as the spa was filled, explaining how the new unit worked, and then demonstrated when the spa was full. He made sure we had his number and website in case we needed anything. He also mentioned that he was able to get replacement headrests and Spa covers at a good price.
He accepted our local check.
We were very satisfied with his work and will continue to use him in future for maintenance and repairs if needed.
