Fencing Reviews in Santa Fe

The original estimate was $250 for labor. We would buy all supplies. We changed our minds and decided to go with wood planks for the fencing instead of the bamboo fence which is see-through. We met at Home Depot and discuss using planks instead and found some lightweight wood planks (which might not be appropriate for outdoor use), but they were too light in color so I bought paint too (weather resistant stain). It needs to last about 5 years until the trees grow to 10 ft tall we have planted here. And we wanted 2 wood ties replaced which were easy but we didn't have the car to haul them so added it to this project.
originally wanted $450 for the project since we added the 2 ties and painting, but we agreed on $400. In the end I feel it was expensive for the work done. It only took 3 hours for 2 people, and we could have easily done the work ourselves. Originally under the $250 estimate he was going to do 2 visits and pour concrete to set 2 or 3 posts which in the end he didn't end up doing. He was also going to install wiring to hold it in place but he ended up thinking that wasn't necessary either because the wood planks were light. In the end he just screwed the planks into the existing 6 ft tall fence, which was actually our original plan to do ourselves but after more thought we thought we should hire a professional who could ensure it was secure from wind. In the last week it has been windy and the planks have separated some exposing bare wood so we may need to paint more. I hired another landscaper to put in a lot of landscape rock which took 3 people 6 hours and labor for that was only $350.
He returned all unused supplies although except a large box of screws that I don't believe was used up. He was very punctual and even early and very good communicating. He brings his own tools and saw and has a trailer.
If we have another project with a solid plan and don't make changes we may contact him again.

A 200ft. coyote fence was built with a double 6ft. gate. The fence was constructed with 7ft. cedar posts supported with steel pipe
both horizontally and vertically. The work was organized, precise and methodical. The finished fence is awesome, beautiful and
strong. There were only two workers at any time. They were quiet and efficient and they were always on time.
is a
true old world craftsman. He does what he says he will do and he does it beautifully. He is courteous and hardworking. I love the
fence and I would recommend
. without hesitation.
This is a five star fence by a five star craftsman.

Fencing reviews in Santa Fe

I was quite stunned to see the name of this company on Angie's List. Although I am reporting a service call of six years ago, I remember it so well and was so offended and insulted that I must share my experience with any and all Angie's List members. You are asking for hassles, a bogus guarantee, and unethical behavior if you get in touch with Evergreen. Here, then, is the entire incident.
I called the company to take a look at the garden and the wooden posts that I'd supplied. I explained that I wanted the posts cut down to pieces to make a retaining border for an irregularly shaped, rounded flower garden. The guy said he could do the job and wanted a pretty steep price for it, but I hired him to come the next day. He showed up on time with his workers and began cutting the material. When I looked out the window to the back lot where the work was to be done, the guy, who I supposed was the owner, was pacing around talking on his cell phone while the workers were cutting the material. In fact, every time I looked out the window he was carrying on on his cell phone.
I then came outside about an hour later, and to my surprise, the "border" was the height of an animal pen. I told him that it wasn't at all what I wanted and that I wanted to finish what was going on right then and there. He refused to give me my money back, but said he would exhange the charge for material I needed to build a fence for the side of my house. He planned to simply take material from another home owner that was already on that customer's site and move it onto my front lot, assured that the other owner wouldn't even notice. He said he'd drop off the material the next day. After several calls, he kept putting me off but offered flagstone. I called a couple more times, and he even stopped by my house saying he'd deliver the material (either fencing or flagstone) later. A week or so down the line, he appeared at my front door unannounced saying he wanted to use the restroom. I thought it was strange since the address listed here as his business was only 5 blocks from my house & a public restroom was available only 2 blocks away at a shopping center. He compalined about wanting to change a bandage on his foot, so I let him go to restroom to do that. He was in the bathroom for about 15 minutes. When he came out, to my shock he asked me out for a date. I refused as politely as I could since I am a lady living alone and was afraid. I mumbled something about my (nonexistant) husband who was temporarily "away." He then left, thank heavens, and never returned nor did he drop off any material to compensate my $475. I reported his phony "business" practices to the Better Business Bureau, and he called one more time to complain about my having reported it. Do not believe anything on the side panel about "guaranteed" work, and I am sorry that I did not stand in the back lot and supervise every move. Unethical and exploiting, I would not recommend this underhanded man and his company to my worst enemy.

He viewed the project which initially was either repair the existing fence or replace it and took a couple of days to get back to me with his recommendation and estimate. As he is working his jobs personally during the day, he usually returns calls in the evening.

This company was highly recommended from a close friend so I decided to have them do some work that I had been wanting to get done for awhile. I have to say I was very happy with the whole process. They built a large coyote fence approximately 20' x 30' and it came out very well. I had lots of yard work that needed to be done such as removing a great deal of leaves and branches, cutting down a dead trees and spraying my healthy trees for bugs. They left my yard looking beautiful! I really got alot for my money. I would definately recommend this company. I have hired some people in the past and they were not very reliable. A+ in my book!
