"I received a flyer in the mail touting service for $29/mo. Of course I knew that it would be more than this, but I thought I could save money and pay less than" I was currently paying with AT&T for cable TV and internet service. When I called Charter to get pricing, the Rep told me they would provide me with what I had for less. Not true. In fact, when the installation guy came he insisted that I call and confirm that I would be getting 4 DVR receivers for this price (as quoted) because his instructions were to charge me when he got to my house (I kind of felt sorry for the guy). Bottom line, I was told during the initial conversation that I would receive: -All equipment (DVR's) for 4 TV's that could record 2 channels at a time on each TV -All Channels except premium channels (HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, etc.) -Free HD on all TV's -60MG Internet Service (which was not true, much slower than that - Could NOT watch Netflix much due to slow buffering) -Phone/Fax included to make bundle cheaper -Inside wire maintenance included -Fiber optic wiring -Contract Buy-Out from current Carrier up to $500. Told takes up to 2 weeks. After 2 billing cycles still wasn't done. All for less than what I was paying. When in actuality, I was charged $29.99 for installation, $39.99 for internet start-up fee, and $20.97/mo ($6.99/ per month for each DVR) AND I only get BASIC TV. No Discovery, History, Nickelodeon, Disney, Lifetime, etc. Again, Bottom line...I'm paying more and getting less. At least that's what they think. I told them to come get their equipment. I don't watch that much TV anyway.

"On my first complaint I was sent some e mails and told to trouble shoot myself. This did not work. My second complaint involved a technician but I had to wait several" days. This was only after extensive time with customer services and the tech department of which I heard all manner of excuse as to why this is not working. Including the suggestion that I log on to the
Hot Spot which my modem is apparently creating. They do not have permission to create a hot spot from my home. We are over a month into this and no result. I am searching for other options. Might have to go back to ATT whatever at least they are reliable. We have a daughter in bed for six weeks after major surgery and really cannot allow as stated such long outages. In addition this has cost us money and a lot of frustration. I was in tears on the phone at one point.... anyway we are moving on.

Cable and satellite TV

The variety of home entertainment options continues to increase as stations are added and TV technology advances. It's important to do your homework before choosing a television service provider.

Cutting cable costs by streaming TV and movies

More consumers are cutting the cord for cable TV services and switching to streaming movies and TV shows from the Internet and content services like Netflix and Hulu. One group estimates that as many as 3.56 million Americans will make the switch in 2012 alone.

They did nothing and I knew they were notorious for sending information about people to the collection agencies. I paid for the month of
Albuquerque Cable Companies Provider Name Locked
2015, but I did not pay for June. It was close to the amount that they owed me (actually less than the amount owed me). I have a very high (excellent) credit score, and I told them that I would contact my attorney if I was reported to a collection agency. After checking all of 2014, it is obvious that they were not correct in their billing, and they made it so complicated to follow the billing information that I guess many people just accept it. None of my friends pay the same amount, and I was paying much more than most of them and had the least service. Most of my friends said that you just have to call
Albuquerque Cable Companies Provider Name Locked
and give them H*** and they will reduce your bill. However, it usually goes right back up. Most of the people I talked with said they call every couple of months if needed. They also shared that MEN usually do better!!

They don't know what they're talking about. Most of the time, their loads could get things fixed. They are always crowded at the store if you try to go in. I would give them a C or a D. If there was a valid change that I could make then I would do it but there's really not. we've checked into it. I will stay with them because I have to. All the time the cable go out and then they'll say it must be me and you do everything they say and it still doesn't work and then you call them again and they tell you that they'll just do one thing there and then they do something and it fixes it. They're really the only game in town that is at all affordable. We got the best deal possible comparing everybody in the area. They're the cheapest people around. You get what you pay for in this area. I'll use them until there is a reasonable alternative. They fix whatever it is, it's just you have to keep getting to them and it's frustrating.

I have contacted
Albuquerque Cable Companies Provider Name Locked
8 times (6 phone calls and 2 emails) and 8 times they said they were so sorry. Our
Albuquerque Cable Companies Provider Name Locked
line was supposed to be buried on June 8 and whoever I was speaking with said they would call the people they contract with and get our line buried. With every phone call or email, I was promised a response within 24 or 24-48 hours and not once did I receive a reply. The last time I called on
Albuquerque Cable Companies Provider Name Locked
20, I waited on hold for 50 minutes to talk to a supervisor but she was not helpful at all and said I would just have to wait.
My neighbor got
Albuquerque Cable Companies Provider Name Locked
after us and his line is buried. Wouldn't it make financial sense to bury ours at the same time? It is difficult to mow and it looks ugly. I was never put on hold when first ordering the service.

We had
Albuquerque Cable Companies Provider Name Locked
for television and internet. Then the rate was hiked and the plans had been changed. I also called AT&T, Charter, Dish, and DirectTV. We stuck with
Albuquerque Cable Companies Provider Name Locked
. What was so aggravating was no
Albuquerque Cable Companies Provider Name Locked
Rep could provide the breakdown of individual costs within the Double Play plan.
But in the end
Albuquerque Cable Companies Provider Name Locked
has the fastest internet and it is affordably priced. The other service providers have slower speeds and even higher prices. Another thing that burns my toast is that it cost me $60 for this plan. $10 for shipping a self install kit and $50 for them to flip the switch for the so-called upgrade.
Read your bill each month! I have been overcharged for services on each of the last 3 bills. Even for all these hassles this monopoly provides our service. We are stuck.

I have the premium package. They are not that bad, it just seems expensive. You can get in contact with them fairly easily and they will help out and fix the stuff.
