Since I only got the estimate, there is little to tell. To be fair, the concrete contractor is a different company (
and
Carafa) but since
was recommended as "very good" by Forchetti Pools, I feel that I would not trust them with any work.

BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT BE FOOLED BY WHAT APPEARS TO BE STRONG RATINGS!!! That was a mistake I made in hiring this company to do my pool renovations this year! As I have gone back and read through the reviews again, now I see signs of some of what was yet to unfold. Many reviews reference poor communication and difficulty in dealing with this company. Be sure you make note of that.
From the start I should have paid more attention to signs that this company wouldn't live up to its promises. The sales man rescheduled a few times to accommodate his own scheduling errors. I didn't consider this particularly professional but believed the reviews I read and assumed this was an anomaly. After reviewing all of the work I wanted done I received an itemized breakdown of costs for each aspect of the project. I then replied with specific questions I had about details related to the job.
(whom they say is the owner), replied with much detail about how several of these items would be handled. I then spoke further with the salesman,
, and felt comfortable with the responses I received regarding my job and requested they send a contract.
Contract negotiations should have been the second warning. I was extremely surprised to discover that the contract they sent was very incomplete and didn't include much of what we had agreed to, although they kept the price the same. I had to go back to them two or three more times before they finally revised the contract properly to account for all that had been "promised". It was extremely disorganized as I was then trying to deal with four different company representatives none of whom clearly communicated much with each other or just didn't care about getting it right. So we finally got the contract corrected properly and having signed it they gave me a start date of April 18, 2013 with an understanding that the company would come daily and be finished within seven (7) business days.
So on April 17, 2013 I receive communication from them that they will not becoming as scheduled on the 18th but will be out the following day - 4/19/13. 4/19/13 arrives and they are not to be seen. I am given the run around and they promise to be out in force the following day. They do show the next day with a few guys for only a few hours and appear very disorganized about there tasks. And then they just take off promising to be back on Monday. Do you think they show? For the next month and a half they make promise after promise to show. And then just don't. And they don't call or communicate about this. And they don't even answer their phones. I finally speak with
again on the phone who gives me a sob story about a casino they are working on and they just don't have time for my job at the moment. They will be back out when they can... No apology or anything. And sporadically a few different crews would show up for a few hours at a time over the next month and a half. And my yard is fully dug up at this point and they don't seem to care at all. I have to hire an attorney to review the contract and he discovers several red flags...
Because I am having lots of work at my house I am lucky that other contractors have been able to observe not only how unprofessional this company has been, but also point out areas of sub-par labor. And if this company tells you they don't hire sub-contractors don't believe them. I have pictures to prove it. But in any case, I then not only find myself having to beg them to even show up to my job, but to also correct poor craftsmanship that has already occurred. Wow, what started out as a job with high expectations based on what seemed to be good reviews has now turned into a bit of a nightmare. And I haven't even shared much of the nightmare with you.
So to end this saga, they have never completed the job. There are many, many items still outstanding and I have had to hire other professionals to finish their work. They even asked to use MY electrician to do their electrical work and then didn't respond to my electricians requests for job details until days after my electrician had already come to the house. I can not imagine a company like this staying in business for long. I hope anyone thinking about this company takes any red flags they see seriously.
I really hope no one else has to go through what we did with this company...

UPDATE: In response to
comments - It is not surprising to see their inaccurate and
response. It is very telling that they would admit that the job is NOT complete all the while also stating that the "job is done..."
the individual I had to deal with for most of the "job" NEVER at any point came to my house to inspect or oversee any portion. He actually has no idea what he is talking about. Yes, this company is now in breach of the contract that was signed. A "contract" I have since disovered is in violation of NJ consumer protection laws. I never expected them to install a separate electrical subpanel. I hired and paid a private electrician to do so. But I did expect them to complete the work we had mutually agreed to. And not only have they left numerous items (many more then simply sod and topsoil) unaccounted for (which I had to hire others to complete), I have since had private pool inspectors out who have established that much of the job was done wrong and will have to be redone. I have now discovered that I can
for DAMAGES. We have ended up spending more to have these issues addressed then the contract originally accounted for.

So now you can see this companies response to legitimate issues related to a job they were contracted to perform but never completed... I think their lack of professionalism speaks for itself.

Princeton Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
after having disastrous experiences with several pool services and it was clear that the pool needed major repair. Initially they were very friendly if a bit pushy. The first year the pool was in bad shape at opening and it cost a fortune to get it cleaned. This marked what was to be one of my major complaints about this company -- slippery billing. There was always a charge for something else not on the estimate or list of normal work. The first summer

replaced the pool pump, heater, and total operating system. The work was done well although several weeks later than promised. Pool service was friendly and generally competent, but very expensive. End of season I had discrepancies with their charges and battled with them for several months. Next spring pool was completely resurfaced. Job looked good at first, although later we found several places where the tiles are sagging. Also, the light in the pool was reinstalled improperly.

technicians worked on it (at great cost) but it still is not functioning. Weekly base charge fo cleaning was on par with most pool services in the area, but by the time all their chemicals and extra services were added on, this company is very expensive. Cost more than 4 times what I paid per year before. Major problem with the plaster -- it leaches calcium heavily which raise the pH, so

continually dumped in acid, which accelerates the calcium leaching. End of season I again had disagreements with their charges and cancelled their service for this year. When we opened the pool in 2012, there was obvious plaster erosion in several regions of the pool.

initially refused to inspect the pool, claiming that the problem was only scale and that our current service was not caring for the pool properly. Note -- this was the condition of the pool AT OPENING after the winterization

finally sent a representative from the plaster company and promised to come himself but did not show. The plaster company at first tried to claim scale, then finally admitted that the plaster applied has an unusually long break in period where calcium leaches heavily. They also noted areas or erosion unrelated to scale and agreed to repair the pool surface in the spring. Throughout the process
