drywall installation and repair

Drywall and plaster

Knowing how your interior walls are constructed and what they are made of can help you take better care of your home, as well as provide effective maintenance. You can make small repairs yourself, but the more extensive the job the more likely you'll need a drywall repair contractor to make the wall smooth again.

For larger projects, especially those that may involve more than three different service providers, a general contractor to oversee your project may be required.

My sister-in-law uses brite white toothpaste and rubs it into those small holes. No prep, no sanding.
?

I've used wall liner (it applies like wallpaper only thicker) to cover a multitude of "wall sins" over the years. In my opinion it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. It doesn't look cheap or tacky, it's inexpensive, non-labor intensive and not messy to install.

I used it for the first time about 15 years ago to cover a faux brick tile on my lower kitchen walls that couldn't be removed. It was either tear the wall down or take a chance on $40 worth of wall liner. It did the job beautifully and lasted. Since then I've used it to cover paneling, a badly gouged wall after a kitchen remodel and a wall that looked like a pegboard after floor to ceiling shelving was removed.

Friends and family (and realtors!) have been amazed by the transformation after applying this simple inexpensive product.

did amazing work. The walls, coves and ceilings all had distinctive textures that had been muted by layers of paint applied over the years. He did an incredible job matching the textures--a true craftsman. He was very careful to keep the spaces draped to minimize dust and cleaned up afterwards. He worked while we were at work; we left a key with him. The job took about 2.5 days. He was repairing damage caused by ice dams, and the cost was covered by insurance.

bid was almost exactly the same as the insurance company's estimate. My only regret was that we didn't have him repair some spots with older damage, as well.

In the late spring of 2014, I contacted 5 different pool companies doing business in the greater
Princeton Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
area about the renovation and replastering project in my 20' x 40’ inground gunnite pool. This pool was a real mess and had not had water, except
Princeton Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
, in it for 11 years. The quotes that I got varied by almost $10,000 for the same work, the highest one being almost $25,000.
One of the calls that I made was to

. I talked to
Princeton Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
, the owner of
Princeton Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
. He told me that if I could wait until the winter to do the project when they weren’t so busy, he could give me a better price. So, I waited until November and sent
Princeton Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
an email telling him that I was ready to get the pool project underway and asked him to give me a bid.
Princeton Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
came and looked at the pool within a few days. His bid was roughly 40% lower than the average of the bids that I got in the spring.
We exchanged a few emails and agreed on a written contract describing the scope of the work, the new equipment, the new tile all around, quartz based plaster, converting the spa to a shallow seating area, new colored

pool light, prices, etc.
Within a week of making our agreement, the
Princeton Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
crew was at my house and began the dirty job of pumping out the old black
Princeton Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
, removing the old equipment, removing the old tile, reducing the wall between the pool and spa, filling in the old spa with concrete, sand blasting the old plaster and applying a bonding coat to the new surface. Once that was done, the plumber/electrician came and set the new equipment and color pool light and pressure checked all the pipes for leaks. Next came the new waterline tile and border line tile on the steps and swimouts. Lastly, came the whole crew (about 12 guys) to do the actual plastering.
The entire project was done in a most polite, expedient and professional manner. I am very happy with the result, the fair, honest pricing and the professional way they went about this project without delay, step by step until the job was done.

was very easy to work with and could give lessons to other contractors, and small businessmen of all kinds, in how to communicate with your customers. We communicated by email, text and telephone. For example, several times i sent texts or emails to
Princeton Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
between 9pm and 10pm thinking that he would answer the next day. Instead, I would get a written reply or telephone call within 10 minutes regardless of the time.
As an attorney in my 40th year of practicing law, I have had a lot of experience seeing good and bad, careful and negligent, serious and phony people and businessmen. Based on my experience with

and

Mr.
Princeton Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
’Aquila was prompt and professional. He quickly responded to our request for an estimate and rapidly scheduled a date to perform services. He plastered a hole in our wall left from damage due to a leaking radiator that I thought would be unrepairable. He matched the plaster pattern expertly and left the space tidy and clean after the work was complete.

was great -- he understood what was needed and how to do it, taking into account special plaster for our radiant heat system. Final results were amazing -- if you did not know there was a patch, you wouldn't see it.

They never contacted me for scheduling. I followed up with Angie's List shortly before the deal expired and they contacted the provider. I still did not hear from them.

Fantastic !! Amazing !! Incredible!!
Illusions and Las
Princeton Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
Handcrafted Finishes (
Princeton Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Princeton Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
) worked together to complete this huge job! They are a perfect team.
Punctuality: arrived on time or before- NEVER late or missed days! Since we are all early risers, they would show up prior to us leaving for work.
Communication: txt works well for us and they would share pictures or finished walls or problems encountered while we were at work. They also notified us in advance of arrival times and dates.
Work ethic: fantastic, it was a small crew using just 2, but occasionally 3. They arrived (on time or earlier), worked hard all day and then cleaned up before they left.
Carftsmanship: They did an amazing job! The quality is exceptional, the walls look better than we could have imagined. We used different techniques in the smaller rooms rooms before deciding on our great room finish. This allowed us to actually see the finishes prior to application in a large space. They also brought 20x20 or larger examples of finishes for us to look at in our home- important when matching cabinets and tile.
Honesty and Reliability: We agreed on a price before starting and as we progressed along and found more and more issues, they were upfront and reasonable with additional costs. We only ended up paying a couple hundred dollars more than originally planned- which with all the problems we encountered is amazing! We had no concerns about security of our home or belongings.
Dos: We knew that was going to be a huge undertaking and we rented a container for outside storage of our furniture and belongings. We literally moved out of each room while they were working on them (of course once you move all the furniture and see the floor- be prepared- carpets may need replacing!) Replacing carpets worked in our favor- ensuring the rugs did not get damaged or stained in the process was not an issue. We did need to let them know the depth of the new carpet so they could bring the walls down to the level of the carpet. When working in tiled areas, they carefully taped thick paper to the floors to protect it.

'ts: Be prepared, you don't want them waiting on you to get to the next room or area. They are honest about what they can accomplish and when they need the next space available.
Completion and Follow-up: We created a list of items to fix or complete. On their last day with us, we scheduled a follow up date for 2 weeks later. This gave us time to continue to add to the list. They arrived the day scheduled, and completed every item on the list!
Absolutely, the BEST contractors we have ever worked with! Highly recommend them!

It took two visits to complete, and I have little idea of what plumbing should cost, but it feels like the cost was fair. It is still working after two weeks. My husband had to be involved and supply some wrenches for the fix, which we were not expecting. Our home is pretty old, and they did not have the correct (read: old enough) pieces to the pipes to fix initially, but were willing to go and find to complete, which I really appreciated.
Be warned of one oddity--when you are trying to get in touch with these folks, the voicemail for the contact number goes to an empty line with no identifiers (rather than "this is
Princeton Plastering Contractors Provider Name Locked
Improvement", it just is a tap on the phone to make it beep.)

They arrived promptly and got to work straight away, first covering everything with plastic. When the work was finished it was impossible to see any joins! I'm very happy with the work they did.
