"In May of 2013, I was in the hospital because of multiple sclerosis, though I had not yet been diagnosed. Dr.
was one of the neurologists trying to diagnose" what was wrong with me. I had dysarthria (slurred speech), but was not incoherent. He spoke to me in
, when I was obviously not having trouble communicating with Dr.
, who was with him each time. He questioned and challenged every answer I gave him, with obvious incredulity. In that he was likely the one that finally diagnosed me, after 5 days, I can't really speak against his ability, but his bedside manner is terrible.

" My initial appointment was so-so. He did most of the talking and I wasn't sure he heard what I was saying. By the second appointment he had a condescending attitude. When I asked" him a question he said, "If I thought you needed to know, I would tell you." Again, he did most of the talking. I was uncomfortable with him and so I brought my husband to my last appointment. Dr.
was very rude to both of us. Every time one of us asked him a question he said that wasn't something he needed to answer. After the appointment I requested my medical records because I knew I would never go back to him. The records were full of errors. Only then did I look up general health reviews on this doctor. I wish I had looked sooner because they were full of warnings from past patients about his tendency to jump to conclusions, misdiagnosis, and mostly his ego. I concur.

My Mother in Law had an appointment today, that was scheduled for 12:00. We arrived about 15 mins early. After aprox 45 mins waiting I asked the receptionist how much longer it would be, she just told me it should be soon. At 12:58 we were taken to the back where they took the vitals,,, & then put in another room to wait. After 30 mins of waiting & hearing the chart being put back into the slot for a second time, I opened the door. About 10 mins later, a Nurse? picked the chart up again without saying anything. After a few more minuts I asked a person that was walking back & forth in the hall if the Dr was actually in,,, & she said "I'll be right in" This is appeared to be the same person I saw arrive at about 12:20,,, 20 mins after the scheduled appointment time. It was now 1:50, going on 2 hours past the appointment time. The Dr.? finally came in & spent all of 7 mins with my Mother in Law, & was gone, only appologising very briefly about being late. This will be her last appointment at this place.

After many tests and several office visits, Dr Ackell confirmed that my wife had Chronic Immune Demyelinating Polyneuropathy, but was unable to provide any cause or treatment. After scheduling another round of tests at least a month away, I saw that my wife was going downhill fast and had a very serious conversation with Dr. Ackell. After that, she called back and had us go to a nearby hospital that day to meet a neurosurgeon, who determined that spinal stenosis was the cause and operated the next day.

was referred to us by another neurologist in the Lafayette area when my parents moved to town. we've been several times now and I'm always impressed that we don't wait very long, which is pretty common at other physician offices. The in office staff is helpful and friendly.
I appreciate Dr.

's bedside manner with my 65 year old mom. He is very patient, takes his time to listen to her and seems to genuinely care. He is equally patient with my questions and concerns, offering digestible explanations. Most importantly, he is very knowledgeable about Multiple Sclerosis. My mom had been saying for a long time that her medicine made her feel worse. Her other doctor never made any comments or changes. Dr.

explained that MS changes as you age and that her medicine probably wasn't working anymore because it was for patients 15 years younger. My mom has felt so much better since being off the medicine and I feel good knowing we see a doctor who has extensive experience with MS.
Also, when we've asked for a referral to a particular physical therapist, he got it to us promptly. My only hesitation is with the office staff. On the phone it can be very hit or miss and getting a nurse to call you back can also be hit or miss. I would recommend getting the person's name you talk with originally. The office has also called more than once to re-schedule an appointment but typically well in advance. However, for now, it's worth the occasional headache to get care from Dr.

She is one of the top people in her field. She is one of the top neurologists in the state. I see her regularly and she takes care, looks after and does what she can about some neurological problems that I have including strokes. She is professional and friendly. She has a nice office manner and not superior at all.

Dr.
Marlton Neurologists Provider Name Locked
is very thorough. If you have a problem, he really listens to the problem. He will not just treat the symptoms but will dig deeper. He doesn't think it is just in your head. He takes time with the patient and is concerned about about you. He runs a little behind sometimes but it is because he is taking time with patients. He has very good communication. I would definitely use him in the future.
