Business Description: A Helping Hand is a state licensed agency that specializes in providing personalized, in-home care to the elderly and anyone who wishes to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible. Our caregivers provide compassionate help with the activities of daily living, which include but are not limited to; laundry, light housekeeping, errands, meal preparation, transportation, grooming, bathing, dressing and bathroom/incontinence care. Locally owned and operated, A Helping Hand, offers services throughout all of Bergen County, and parts of Hudson and Passaic counties as well. An active participant in the community, A Helping Hand is a proud member of The Fort Lee Rotary Club, The Greater Fort Lee Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Home Care and Hospice and the National Private Duty Association. A Helping Hand’s caregivers are medical assistants, home health aides and certified nursing assistants who are thoroughly screened, bonded and insured. A Helping Hand performs extensive reference, criminal and DMV checks on all potential employees prior to hiring. All services and schedules are tailored to the needs of the individual client and A Helping Hand’s caregivers are available for hourly, daily, weekly, overnight, 24 hour or live-in assignments. A Helping Hand’s caregivers are also available to provide help in hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, long-term care and assisted living facilities. Client satisfaction and customer service is priority #1 at a Helping Hand and we remain available to all our clients, at all hours, throughout the continuum of care.
