"He apparently did not listen to the repairs that I enumerated. I told him that the fountain needed to be restored I had just replaced the pump and the float. But," The electrical box for the fountain was loose and had been tripping the GFI. The fountain bowl ineeded to be leveled. The float needed adjustment. And the water flow needed adjustment. He would set a time to do the work and then show up at a different time. He complained about the state of the fountain even though I had told him the issues from the beginning. He coated the interior of the fountain - that is really all he did. The fountain bowl is still not level. He said that it needed to be ground down but when I used a level to see whether he had tried to make the adjustment from the joints between the bowl and the base, it was obvious that he had not used a level to even attempt an adjust it. I took a photo of the leveler to show how off center the level was. The last time that he was at my house, he was very rude and wouldn't even talk to me. he had been recommended by a male friend of mine, based on what he has done for my friend, I would say that he overcharged me and doesn't like to listen to women.

Do not buy their fire wood! They are a good garden center with good prices and variety on plants, etc., but their fire wood is terrible. It is overpriced, disgustingly dirty, and VERY WATERLOGGED! Most of it is hardwood as claimed, but it's so wet that it's almost useless. It's so bad, it won't even make coals, it gives off tons of foul-smelling smoke, and disappears at twice the rate of good seasoned wood, without giving much heat at all. Very disappointed and angry to have wasted money on this wood!

The
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
representative was courteous when he came out to see the beds and discuss what we wanted. He provided an estimate approximately 10 days later. At that point we had to put the project on hold for a few weeks because of a health issue in the family. We let the rep know this and that we would contact him when we could restart the process. We contacted him approximately a month later with a few questions on the quote and a detailed list of exactly what we wanted. At that time we told him that we wanted to move forward with the work and to check the list of what we wanted to make sure the estimate included all items. He said that he would get back to us in a few days. Three weeks later, we still had not heard from the rep so we followed up. We received a

and somewhat ambiguous answer that we would get back to us when he had more that "10 seconds" to look at the quote. Again, about 3 weeks later, we had not heard from him and followed up. This time we asked whether

was even interested in the work and if they were to respond within the week. By this time it was

On March 11,
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
and I did a complete walk around my property to assess the water flow, tree layout, and land layout (hills on all 4 sides of house) and how to best address the front, side lawn issue as well as bury downspouts to divert water properly away from my house. At this time a soil sample was done to assess soil and grass issues.

Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
’T ACCEPT HIS CONTRACTS THE WAY HE WRITES THEM! DO NOT BELIEVE HIS GUARANTEES!
On April 11,
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
’s crew placed soil/seed on the front lawn with a Curlex covering (supposedly to hold seed in place.) Numerous other lawn companies indicate that Curlex is only to be used on steep hills (to prevent runoff.) I
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
’t have a steep hill on the front or side lawn where the soil, seeding was done.
By May 24th, the front lawn had grown enough to have the grass mowed. However, by mid-June the front lawn had started to die off in places where the Curlex seemed to be strangling, smothering the grass. By mid-
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
, the lawn looked like it had a
disease with more than half of the lawn showing signs of browning from not taking proper root in the soil. Note: this browning was not due to a lack of watering, as
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
claimed, as it was watered and we also had a much
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
spring than in other years.
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
also claimed the Curlex would “dissolve” over a short time. However, even after 10 months, the Curlex is still on the lawn and has to be cut away to even rake leaves.
In addition, to hiring this company for the lawn soil and seeding, etc., I also paid them to bury 3 downspouts to effectively carry,
move water away from the house.
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
’s crew buried only 2 downspouts and did so incorrectly. One of those downspouts was incorrectly directed to the right back corner of my house where the water pooled under the downspout which they weren’t paid
to bury. The other downspout was directed to my neighbor’s yard, patio area where it flooded his basement.
When I contacted
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
about these issues in the Spring 2014, he tried to extort more monies from me for the job he was already well paid. I gave him the Summer of 2014 to remedy the issues, and he failed to address, correct them. I contacted the BBB in the Fall 2014 to start a complaint against the company. While waiting for BBB to resolve the complaint,
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
told another lawn company to come to my home (whereby they trespassed on my property) to do a consult (at
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
’s instigation) as to what were the issues with my lawn. This “consult” company wrote an e-mail to
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
saying I had grubs in the lawn!
However, I had already hired a reputable lawn company which had done a formal report of my soil, lawn and indicated there were NO SIGNS OF GRUBS ANYWHERE!
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
offered me $100 to not go to arbitration with BBB. I declined as I do not want another person to go through what I went through.
To add to this horrendous fiasco, when I went to BBB arbitration, I lost the case. Not because there wasn’t enough proof of failure to fulfill the guaranteed contract (only 2 downspouts were buried, and those 2 were buried incorrectly; the contract clearly states 3 downspouts will be buried AND guaranteed grass growth.)
I have been informed by the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC) that BBB hires arbitrators to hear BBB cases against businesses which pay to be listed in the BBB. BBB rates the companies and gets paid as long as those companies continue to pay and be listed with BBB. So the BBB complaint resolution process, to me, is a scam. I was told by the Greater Maryland BBB that the arbitrators hired by BBB were independent.
However, they may not be competent in
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
things such as contracts, landscaping issues, mere concept of water runs downhill, etc. In addition, the BBB site now indicates that my complaint (all details deleted,
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
, removed) “was resolved” when in fact it was NOT resolved. If you have a complaint against this company, go to the MHIC and file a complaint, NOT the
BBB.

Ordered flowers for Valentines Day. Placed order on Tuesday 10 February specifying Saturday delivery. I live 3/10's of a mile from store, live in same zip code 22315. On Saturday, 14 February, I went to store to inquire about delivery. Sales lady asked me what zip code I lived in; I replied 22315. She said "those orders are out for delivery right now." It's now 11:00PM Saturday night. No delivery yet. What good are Valentines Day flowers if they don't arrive on time? I went to
Exeter Nurseries Provider Name Locked
because they are my neighborhood florist. I never will again. Residents of 22315 & 22310: save your money. Get your flowers elsewhere. Do not patronize this store.

TERRIBLE from start to finish. DISHONEST.
I hand picked plants at the nursery and scheduled a plant date.
They didn't come to

They planted smaller versions of what I selected
and paid for. They deny this, but I just want them off my property.

Prices for firewood here are very comparable with the prices in the area. You're not going to get a steal, but you wont be overcharged either. The firewood s dry and seasoned. We received a lot of cherry wood this year. They delivered our order early the very next day. We actually used them twice. The first time we ordered a face cord and the second time we ordered a full cord because it had gone so well and the quality of their wood. The guy who delivered and stacked our wood both times was very pleasant and professional. We will use them every year for our firewood needs.

The results are UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
Cant stop looking at the transformation.
It was like being in a reality tv show except better!
We could never, in a million years, have done this ourselves.
They had the equipment, the expertise, and the staff.
The yard could be a "before and after" in a magazine
From first contact, until job completion, including a weekend inbetween was only 6 days!
Visited site, discussed , they submitted a computer rendering and pricing, visitied again and made tweaks and adjusted the quote, and 2 days later came and did all the work in one day.
10 stars thumbs up.
fully recommend.
