I had some more issues with interim treatments. Customer service wasn't logging my requests. The last straw was when I called for an interim service. They promised to come almost every day for a week. Finally, they came, but I saw no evidence that they had sprayed.
My lawn has more weeds than before I started with

I apply my own chemicals now, and my yard is coming back to life.
* for the service call. We have called numerous times to inquire where the technician is after not showing within 3 days of the emailed timeframe.
*Within 2 weeks after the initial underground tree fertilization, half of a 15 foot, 14 years old cedar died. They originally claimed it was due to winter freeze; we knew this to be wrong and proved them incorrect since the tree was alive well into the growing season with no winter affects (confirmed by our neighbors who are lawn care specialists). After that they sent a SME (Subject Matter Expert) who claimed it was due to a biological root infestation. They refused any responsibility.
*we've also indicated that the back corner of the property was not being treated, each time catching the technician before they left to treat the area and given a promise that it would be entered into our notes so it wouldn't happen again ... 3 times. The problem here is that if we are not home when the treatment occurs, there is no way to convince them that the area was missed (other than the obsessive weed growth in the untreated area). When they are informed of the miss, they send someone out to "spot" treat the area - never a full application as with the rest of the property.
Customer service is always pleasant, but rarely with appropriate follow-up.

In my opinion a company operating in today's environment, who by the way has an internet presence, that are unable to adjust methods of communication to fit their customer's needs, do not understand customer service. I got the idea that they believe their customers sit around the house or by the phone waiting for them to call or show up??
By the way, one of our issues was an area of lawn that was not responding over a long period of time, and weeds that showed not response to their claimed "treatment". So there were problems with the treatment's effectiveness, but we have no idea why not since communication was virtually impossible. They also applied a treatment on a day that had been raining all day, followed by torrential downpours within an hour after treatment, and we never have received an explanation regarding efficacy.
As an update, I tried to contact them today, 8-24-14, via THEIR contact form on the website, just to confirm termination of our service, and that was rejected. Therefore, their e-mail address AND their contact form on their website are non-functional?? Not a good sign they are adapting to current technology!
Their service may be okay for someone who can stay by and answer their phone all day when there is an issue, but for those that cannot, be aware!
I was so impressed by his willingness to give advice that I decided to ask how much he would charge if I used his company for the whole project instead of doing it myself. He was quick to give me a price range dependent on my choice of stone. Although the whole project was expensive, his price was less than the other quotes I received. We had a lot of back and forth on the different details of the project.
