"I wasn't interested with him either. When I went to him, I was under the impression that he would do the knee replacement. After he had me do everything that" I did like the MRI, then he told me he didn't do this. The office people were great. They were always there. I didn't have to wait very long to see him. He didn't do anything for me.

-Barbara P.

"It went great. Dr.
explained everything that was going to happen . I was nervous before the surgery as I have severe asthma and many allergies." He even had the anesthesiologist come in and explain everything to me . They only use anesthesiologist not anesthetist . With my breathing problems , I was glad to hear this. An Anesthesiologist is a doctor an anesthetist is a nurse. The surgery went well. Dr.
sent me to P.T. to help my get the muscle in my arm strong again. I chose Momentum P.T. My therapist was
. Good choice. He was very encouraging and my are is very god now .

Angie's Answers

Sounds like you should be pursuing a disability claim.  Also, you could speak to your previous doctor frankly about your concerns.
Have they made orthotics for your shoes that distribute your weight better?

Whoops - I just realized that you may have been looking for Angie's List information on providers outside your home market. To see information on providers that aren't in your home Angie's List chapter, you can elect to pay a small addditional fee (generally about $15 to $20) to add another city's Angie's List to your existing memember.

Hello, this is Kyle K from the Member Care Department.

I apologize for my delay. I apologize, but orthopedic surgeons fall under our Orthopedics category which is included in the Health list. Currently, you're enrolled in our Basic membership which only includes access to our Home list.
If you'd like to upgrade your membership to the Plus or Premium plan, we'll be happy to assist you with this search. If interested, give us a call at 1.888.944.5478 and we'll take care of this adjustment. Again, I do apologize for any misunderstanding.

This is James W. with Member Care. Thanks for posting your question.

It looks like when you signed up online on 8/5/2014, that you accidentally joined our greater Portland chapter instead of our Salem/Corvallis chapter that your zip code falls under. I have transferred your subscription to that chapter, so you will now have access to the correct area.

I hope this information helps! Please let me know if I can assist further. You can respond to this thread or submit a new Answers post. You can also reach us at 1-866-783-2980. We're open weekdays from 8:00 am - 9:00 pm and Saturdays 8:00 am - 5:00 pm ET.

Thanks again!

Orthopedic reviews in Amherst

My neurologist, Dr.
Amherst Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
cancelled three times. When i was in pain and could not see hiim, I was advised to see his P A. she was very authoritive with poor bedside manner. Her recommendation was not appropriate to my situation, as it was two days later verified by another neurologist at NYU. The p A insisted on having an X
Amherst Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
to follow up my sciatica pain, instead of an MRI. She further insisted on taking painkiller, instead of an appropriate anti-inflammatory. This place is pushing pain-management, and masking pain, rather than dealing with underlying issues. While i was there, there were a few guys waiting, all begging for painkillers. I felt this place was nothing short a painkiller- facilitator.

Everything said about the waiting room and wait times is true. We had an appointment at 11:00 and waited until nearly 12:00 to be seen. There is only one TV playing a DVD for kids and two small toys. We showed up early for our appointment, because someone I spoke to said we might be seen earlier if we did that (we came from an hour away) but that didn't occur. And people who came after us were seen first -- that was a complaint I saw many times in reviews.
So there's the bad. However, the good outweighed that, and I would definitely see Dr.
Amherst Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
The people who do the booking (not sure if it was the main line or the in-office staff) called me to change my appointment from 2:00 to 11:00 a.m. once they realized I had such a young child (14 months). They said they didn't want him waiting for hours (they know the wait times are extreme)

looked at my son quickly and knew something wasn't right. Neither his pediatricians nor the ER staff he had seen seemed to have a clue about where he might be injured. She ordered additional x-rays which can be done IN-HOUSE (so saved on additional wait times right there). The x-

technician was extremely friendly and helped to entertain my son, who was sick of being poked, prodded and x-rayed by then.

quickly deduced his injury by looking at the x-rays -- again, nothing that his pediatrician or other doctors were able to do. She said he didn't need a cast and would need to get better, but it would hurt. So at least we knew what was going on and could monitor him.
Some improvements: I think a mass of toys and more TVs would do wonders. Another doctor (under Dr.
Amherst Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
's tutelage) would be amazing! And if long, long wait times are already under way, maybe calling people and telling them to delay their visit a half hour or so might be good. No point in having a crowded waiting room if people won't be seen right away.
Luckily we had read about the long wait times in other reviews and came prepared. My son was losing his patience right about when we were seen, so if another hour or so had been added on, things might have not been so pleasant. But Dr.
Amherst Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
knows her craft and is one of the only pediatric orthopedists around. It seems like they are trying to see and help as many kids as they can each day, which unfortunately means a wait.
- Albert M.

The staff was friendly and efficient. Wait time was minimal. The doctor was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. He was very good at explaining and giving options. Good visit. Would not hesitate to return.
- Debra B.

The entire experience was first rate. He took my complaint seriously, explained the procedure clearly, and was respectful of my concerns.

First saw Dr.
Amherst Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
@ Triangle Orthopedics August 5, 2014 for knee pain. We talked about options to try to avoid knee replacement. We started with steroid injections which worked very well, but as it wore off pain was back. The he gave another injection that did not last as long. We did the same of 3 hyalgan injections which did nothing. Decision was made to do replacement which was done on May 5, 2015. Surgery went well and recovery has been great.

My whole experieince was outstanding, best treatment and service I ever had during my 30 year service career and the 10 years since retiring. Dr.

There are many physicians that work on hands. Dr
Amherst Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
, who is also a plastic surgeon should rank as a "must see"
Amherst Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
the top of your list of potential physicians before any hand surgery. He doesn't spend an excess of time visiting but his quick grasp of condition and best treatment is wonderful. And perhaps not so strange is how every staff members at

Excellent... Recovery much longer than expected...I have had two hip replacements and one revision and in my opinion, the recovery from the hip surgeries and the rehab were cake compared to that of my back surgery. Dr
