Fantastic. Extremely easy to schedule for drop off & pick up. They were on time, efficient, reasonably priced (I compared to 3 other companies), excellent drivers how they placed the huge storage box in my driveway exactly where I wanted it so I could access half my driveway to get my car in/out garage. BEWARE: Based on a recent experience with R&R Designer Delivery, I would like the general public to know that I have filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau due to the Company's highly unethical business practices and overall lack of professionalism.
The Problem: In March 2014, R&R Designer Delivery called me at the request of my interior designer to schedule delivery of 2 arm chairs. However, they attempted to charge me $938 in storage fees because the chairs had been held at their facility for approximately 4-years. I spoke with the manager on several occasions and explained that I was never made aware of the fact that the chairs were being stored by them. In an effort to resolve the situation in the most amicable way possible, I offered to have my attorney contact them to work out an arrangement. The manager then suspiciously offered to lower the charge if I would agree not to pursue legal action. When I continued to express concern that R&R’s business practices seemed highly unethical, the manager refused to deliver the chairs, demanded $400 in payment, and told me that if I didn't have the chairs picked-up within 3-days he would get rid of them and pretend that he didn't know anything about the chairs given that we didn't have a contract or a written agreement of any sort. As a result, I paid the $400 in order to avoid further hassle and my designer rented a U-Haul truck and personally delivered the chairs.
Background: In 2010, my wife and I ordered 2 custom-made arm chairs from a local interior designer that we have worked with for many years. At the time, we were in the process of completing a major home renovation project and we intended to use the chairs in our basement. However, the scope of our kitchen re-design ballooned and we decided to delay the work in our basement for several years. In the meantime, the chairs that we ordered/purchased were completed as originally planned and our designer offered to hold the chairs until we were ready for delivery. To be specific, she told me to just contact her when we were ready to have the chairs delivered and there was no discussion regarding special storage arrangements. As such, I assumed that the chairs were in her personal possession along with other excess inventory that she kept for her retail store. Admittedly, after some considerable time had passed we both seemed to have forgotten about the chairs until I contacted her in March to make arrangements for delivery and the bizarre chain of events described above began to unfold. If I had known that the chairs were being stored by a third-party at a monthly cost, I would have had the items delivered and stored in my own basement when they first arrived from the manufacturer. When my designer delivered the chairs to my home, she explained that when she orders furniture the items are shipped from the manufacturer and held at her personal storage facility at R&R Delivery. R&R then delivers the furniture to her customers. As part of her business relationship with R&R, I assume that my designer pays a monthly fee for storage and that my chairs were kept in her storage room. If this is the case, I strongly believe that the designer and/or R&R Delivery had an obligation to inform me in advance of the storage arrangement as well as any expectations regarding additional payment that would be required from me because as the customer I had no way of knowing about this third-party business relationship. I sincerely regret that I was never informed that the chairs were being stored for a fee, and belive that the entire situation could have been avoided if I had received a

phone call, letter, or invoice. It is my opinion that R&R Delivery handled the situation in a very unprofessional way, and I would recommend that anyone looking for delivery or storage services should do further research in an effort to find more reputable companies in the Chicagoland area.

I contacted

two weeks ago. After a few messages, he finally called back and we came up with an agreed price and a time to move an 8' X 22' portable building from Conroe to Baytown. The price seemed fair and he said he would be at the pick up point in Conroe at 8:00AM today. This was last Monday (6/16). I decided to text him last night to confirm, he says that he is still on, but it may not be until mid morning. Would have been nice to know prior to taking the whole day off work!! I go ahead and leave Baytown headed to Conroe at 9:30, thinking he would be calling and on his way soon. I start calling him at 10:00 (mid morning in my mind), no answer and can't leave a message because his mailbox is full. I show up the location I bought the building from (11:00AM) and apologize to him because I have no idea where my hauler is and he will not return phone calls or text messages. I go have lunch and return at noon. Still not having heard anything, we start looking at other options. After finnding someone who will do the job Thursday, I text

at 1:00 and tell him to cancel the job and that I am very dissapointed in his unprofessionalism and his claim of dependability is false. I get an immediate response (1:02) telling me he is sorry and that he had to take his son the the doctor this morning. Really???? How about telling me that last night? How about responding to previous text messages and phone calls?? It was very obvious he never really wanted the job and didnt have the decency just to cancel. Now I am out a full day of work for nothing!!

Pod was dropped of per the scheduled time and placed in my rear drive way exactly the way I needed it not to affect my neighbor's vehicle, the workers were professional and pleasant. The Pod being used for storage while my basement is being redone, I filled up the pod, called them to pickup the pod to take to storage until my basement is completed, once completed they will return and drop pod back in my driveway for unloading. Its easy and painless.....
