"Front office staff were professional and courteous in their interaction with patients but tended to ignore patients and the long wait. Lab staff was very professional" and friendly. I was left setting in the waiting room for over an hour before being called back to have my blood pressure checked and blood to be drawn for lab work. Once my blood was drawn I was left in an examination room where I waited another hour + for the doctor to arrive. Dr.
entered the examination room with an attitude his time was being wasted. He immediately made the statement, "You're at 17, nothing to worry about, I've seen worse.", "Just stop smoking." Up to this point I had been told be three separate doctors that a hemoglobin of 17+ and hematocrit over 50+ was a very serious issue. I had been instructed by two separate doctors that I should undergo bi-weekly phlebotomy. Dr.
without ever examining me stated that my problem was a result of smoking and sleep apnea. Made the statement stop smoking and you'll be fine. Dr.
's diagnoses was entirely based upon medical history forms and lab results. At no time did Dr.
ever attempt to examine me. When questioned about the condition polycythemia the reason for my referral to Dr.
, he became dismissive and impatient. When questioned about continuing the phlebotomy his attitude was do it if you want but it won't do any good. Dr.
never offered any explanation of the condition polycythemia or the reason for not continuing the prescribed phlebotomy. Dr.
never offered an explanation why I would have elevated blood viscosity. Dr.
was offensive, impatient and it was obvious that he did not want to continue the examination. The entire encounter with Dr.
did not even last five minutes. During the exchange Dr.
held a copy of the blood lab results. Upon leaving I asked Dr.
for a copy of the lab results. Dr.
without comment threw the document in my direction and turned his back to me. I was in his office for the better part of three hours to be dismissed as an intrusion into his busy schedule. A subsequent report to my primary physician, Dr.
made statements which were false. Dr.
stated that polycythemia was a secondary issue to smoking and sleep apnea. Dr.
claimed that he made recommendations which he did not make at the time of the examination. Dr.
's primary practice is cancer treatment. It was apparent that he did not wish to accept a patient which didn't fall into this category. Note: When I reviewed the lab results from Dr.
's own lab, in the category of hemoglobin results were 17. Beside this result was the notation, "Critically High".

"Dr.
is very sensitive to patients' needs, symptoms, insurance snags (he calls the insurance companies on behalf of many patients), and" finds unique treatments through research. I appreciate the fact that he does not like to give too many PET scans. Any type of scan is risky because they expose the patient to more radiation. I lost a
friend to metastatic breast cancer; before she died, she told me her oncologist ran PET scans on her every few months! She had undergone many of these scans. Dr.
has tirelessly researched new treatments protocols used by doctors at M.D.
& other hospitals. Because of his research, my husband is alive today! His staff is top notch! All are extremely dedicated & responsive to our needs. A compassionate, well trained group! We are very lucky!

They are really good, but the only thing that I noticed was for an example, my brother was taking pain medication, sometimes I have had to drive to his location, about 45 minutes away to get his pain medicine. Once I called them that morning and the woman said that she would send the information to a pharmacy. I got to the pharmacy after work and the prescription had already been filled. Nurses were not allowed in a certain wing that my brother was at after he just got a Chemo treatment. I have learned that I do have to follow up on everything.

The billing person was one of hte main reasons I went to Dr
Omaha Oncologists Provider Name Locked
Chobania, I was poor, unemployed, and I had insurance but it was the temporary kind and I was nervous I was not going to have the money to pay, the billing person said to come in, because they even have a charity clinic called JFK Memorial Clinic. The billing person was instrumental, the online profile of Dr Chobania was one of the keys, and I didn't know him. He and his office managed all of my cancer treatment. Every place you go in the hospital they touch you with kindness and sweetness, and I appreciated it being a catholic hospital

It went very well with '
Omaha Oncologists Provider Name Locked
Wernig' RN. She was informative, helpful and totally dedicated to 100% Customer Satisfaction !
The male and female security guards need extensive re training in order to become at best marginal !
I was told that I would not be allowed to go to the 5th floor, I had lost my ID Badge and was told to get another, but the female guard told me I needed my Driver's License, which I did NOT have at the time !
A heated exchange occured and a armed police ofcr approached me and told me I was facing an arrest.
I laughed in his face, (Male Black 50yrs OLD), I told him that the riots were several weeks ago and that this white person wasn't going role over and accept his misuse of power and authority.
I told him that he was guilty violating my rights and suggested that he stop IMMEDIATELY or I would call the state police to hear both sides, etc. ! The Black Male Officer declined my offer, but told me that after I left for the evening I would not be allowed back into the hosptial.
Most confusing, maybe a clear example of little people with too much POWER !

Went in with a list of questions. Dr.
Omaha Oncologists Provider Name Locked
seems willing to spend all the time you need answering questions. She scheduled me for testing. Nothing flagged on the testing. When I asked her questions more in-depth about my issues, she pretty much seemed to just rely on the testing and told me to go back to my family doctor. So frustrated with physicians not being willng to think outside the box in their own practice. Could just be my issues, but didn't seem very helpful and at one point said "that's not my area" in response to a pretty basic medical question.
If I knew specifically what I was looking for with a health issue, I might go back, but for exploring problems she didn't seem to be a good fit for me.
