"Great! I had an old-time antenna
removed from the side of my vintage brick home which left unsightly big holes in several bricks and I also" had some crumbling & missing mortar issues. The mortar used when my house was built is not something you can easily buy in your local home center and finding bricks to match an 85-year old home is no easy task.
cut out and removed the damaged bricks and replaced with new(old) bricks that matched perfectly as well as fixed the mortar with a mix that looks identical. I am pretty particular about the care of my home. I was really worried about the finished appearance as I did not want to end up with a repair that stuck out like a sore thumb, but they did a great job and I defy anyone to point out the areas that have been repaired!

"It went great.
is top-notch in terms of quality and responsiveness. There *may* be slightly cheaper builders out there (I get the sense" that if we'd hunted and searched we could've possibly gotten someone to do it for less), but for us, that toss of the dice is not worth making.
's gonna do it right, and we'll definitely use them again for our next project, whenever that may be.

Carpentry/woodworking

Finish carpenters can design, build and install woodwork structures in your house to enhance the quality and adorn the attractive appearance of your home. There carpenters can complete several different jobs for new homes or remodeling of an existing house.

Baseboards and molding

Baseboards and molding serve a practical function -- covering up the space where walls and floors join, as well as protecting the wall from scuffs and dents. But they also provide a decorating opportunity.

You need a general contractor - prefereably one who specializes in additions, because you have excavation, waterproofing, concrete, concrete cutting, carpentry, door and window, etc trades to coordinate.

The cost will depend a great deal on your topography around the house - if the base of the window will be above ground level at least 6 inches, then could run about $500 for a legal egress window purchase and about $1000-2000 for installation, depending on how deep into the concrete you have to cut.

If the bottom of the window will be below ground level, then to call it a bedroom (which mandates legal sized second egress and usauully at least one window)  then you will have two choices - bring it out into a solid watertight concrete storm cellar with collar to keep water out, stairs, and and weather and bug-tight cellar door that is inward-opening, which means a lot of space for stairs and landings top and bottom, or bring it out into an oversized window well at least 36 inches in diameter, and with steps to ground level, with adequate drainage and waterproofing to keep it dry. Either way, sometimes about as easy to put in an outside door as a window, and might raise property value more. Cost from $2-5,000 depending on how deep into concrete wall you have to dig, whether concrete wsall needs reinforcing with steel frame because of the depth of cut, how easy the digging is, and what your water conditions are near the foundation. The last thing you want to do is create an easy water or vermin ingress with your egress.

Dictated by Federal LAW , you will need a Licensed and EPA Certified HVAC Contractor

to make such repairs . In fact , by law , ONLY A licenesed HVAC contractor can buy or install

said eguipment , NOT A handyman nor general contractor !

YES , You should have an A.C. sleeve surrounding the through the wall unit . These sleeves will usually accompany NEW products , either as a package or an add on equipment purchase.

Contact a Licenesed PROFFESSIONAL at once !

It depends on what type of ramp you need. If it is built out of wood you could look for a carpenter or a deck company. If you are looking for a concrete ramp a mason would be what you are looking for. There are also metal ramps and I believe some medical supply companies may carry them or be able to steer you in the right direction. As for insurance coverage I am not sure. You may have coverage and would be best talking to your agent. Depending on why you need this ramp there may even be programs through your local government or even some of the local charities might help. It might be a project a local Scout Troop might help out on.

did work in three phases. Installation of path went well, and still looks pretty good. .Next phase was front yard. Poor plant selection, and sold me way more stock than needed. Almost nothing lasted. Yews planted too low. They died. Holly didnt receive enough sun. Died. Winterking

struggled in poor placement and finally succumbed. Redbud grows crooked. Too much shade from neighboring mature trees. Ridiculous number of viburnum, overgrown mess in three years--out they came. Japanese maple not to scale with other plantings. Rhus around

Japanese maple too close to house, struggling...getting the picture?? All work looked wonderful--for a few months. But ignoring shade from existing mature trees and selling too much for a full look in the near term, along with just unwise selections doomed the job. we spent so much money and it was mostly wasted.

I could not be more happy with their roofing and painting work. Every aspect of the job—bidding, start of job, job itself, end of job, cleanup—exceeded the highest expectations. The men are courteous, professional, diligent, and extremely hard-working. I will work with them again, eagerly and soon.

examined the job the afternoon on Thursday and we discussed his proposed solution and answer my questions and concerns. He said that he would get back to me that afternoon with an E-mail after consulting with his manager. He did say that he could do the project in four hours the next afternoon. I received a call early the next morning with a quoted cost which I accepted. Indeed he and his crew arrived at 2:00pm the next day and completed the job in four hours. It looks good and it's still standing. Only time will tell.
I should say that another contractor quoted me 5,080 plus an estimated $400 for materials.

I hired them to fix and patch the rotting spots on several of my house windows, but it ended up being bigger than any of us realized. The windows were factory installed and not easily fixed without having to make an entirely new one from scratch. This would have cost me much more money than replacing. The carpenters who came to do the work talked me through the problem and came up with a solution that would fix my immediate rot problem (and get

off my back) while not putting me in the poor house. I now have a few more years left on these particular windows to save up for upgraded screen/storm windows. I was very pleased with their honesty and knowledge as well as talking through the problem.

I needed a ceiling fan removed from a cathedral ceiling and a new fan installed in a different place in the ceiling. The workers removed the original fan and patched and prepared the ceiling surface for painting. They also installed the new Casablanca fan, including a heavy duty wood beam behind the surface to hold the 30 lb. weight of the fan. The ceiling where the new fan was installed was also patched and prepared for painting. They completed all electrical changes and connections, and removed a track light, including patching and preparing the ceiling for painting. They also removed an old phone

outlet and patched and prepared the wall for painting.
The workmen were very punctual, professional, and pleasant to work with. They answered my questions and made sure that I understood what steps were being taken. Great care was taken to cover the floor where they would be walking in and out of the house during the job. They also cleaned up afterwards. I am very satisfied with the whole job.

We met with
Blair Carpenters Provider Name Locked
at
Blair Carpenters Provider Name Locked
with an idea. He was able to translate that idea into an actual design. The design preserved the integrity of the building, but also provided modern functionality. The design evolved during the process, as changes were incorporated that improved function and usefulness while still providing architectural integrity. Excellent craft ship and neatness of instillation. We would recommend this company with out any reservation.

Reached out to contractor via Angie's list App,
Blair Carpenters Provider Name Locked
responded via email quickly that he will be calling me right away, when he did not I responded thanking him and that I was available to take his call.
Blair Carpenters Provider Name Locked
eventually called and was abrupt and arrogant right away- quickly highlighting his accomplishments and self promoting... I gave him the benefit of the doubt and explained what I needed which was to build a free standing 3x12 shed built on the side of my house. I have the plans and will provide all the materials... Unfortunately
Blair Carpenters Provider Name Locked
proceeded to try to talk his way out and object in every way rather than listening and providing a plan to get the project going, I asked for a rough/tough cost,
Blair Carpenters Provider Name Locked
very quickly quoted $75 Hr for 2 days to get it done, thought it was excessive at first but then thought let me receive a couple of other quotes plus reach out to the folks I bought the plans from... After receiving other estimates,
Blair Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was clearly way off the
Blair Carpenters Provider Name Locked
on both time and labor cost. I still gave him another shot by emailing plans and asking for a best and final quote he responded in an incoherent email about why it's so complicated (to build a shed!) in the email
Blair Carpenters Provider Name Locked
extended the time to a week, @ $75/hr this is not what I expected from an apparent experienced carpenter, it appears that
Blair Carpenters Provider Name Locked
thinks He is the only person that can read a set of plans and build this shed... I am sorry, and hoped I could have a different opinion but, It's been truly a waste of time dealing with
Blair Carpenters Provider Name Locked
. I will have the shed built by a company that knows a bit about dealing with people.
