"There are many physicians that work on hands. Dr

Sounds like you should be pursuing a disability claim.  Also, you could speak to your previous doctor frankly about your concerns.
Have they made orthotics for your shoes that distribute your weight better?

Whoops - I just realized that you may have been looking for Angie's List information on providers outside your home market. To see information on providers that aren't in your home Angie's List chapter, you can elect to pay a small addditional fee (generally about $15 to $20) to add another city's Angie's List to your existing memember.

I apologize for my delay. I apologize, but orthopedic surgeons fall under our Orthopedics category which is included in the Health list. Currently, you're enrolled in our Basic membership which only includes access to our Home list.

This is James W. with Member Care. Thanks for posting your question.

It looks like when you signed up online on 8/5/2014, that you accidentally joined our greater Portland chapter instead of our Salem/Corvallis chapter that your zip code falls under. I have transferred your subscription to that chapter, so you will now have access to the correct area.

I hope this information helps! Please let me know if I can assist further. You can respond to this thread or submit a new Answers post. You can also reach us at 1-866-783-2980. We're open weekdays from 8:00 am - 9:00 pm and Saturdays 8:00 am - 5:00 pm ET.

Orthopedic reviews in Rugby

Excellent... Recovery much longer than expected...I have had two hip replacements and one revision and in my opinion, the recovery from the hip surgeries and the rehab were cake compared to that of my back surgery. Dr
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
is an excellent compassionate surgeon -a hard combination to find these days.z
- Quin O.

I called Dr.
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
's office a few days after my trip to the E.R. and was able to get in the following week. I
brought copies of the x-rays taken at the hospital. At first glance he
thought that my shoulder had separated. They did another set of x-rays
and that proved to be wrong. He had me do some exercises for a couple
of weeks to see if that would change anything. At the end of August last year they scheduled me for an MRI. I had torn my rotator cuff in two places very badly, torn another tendon down to the bone and my bicep was not attached. They scheduled surgery for two weeks later (my request so that I could attend a women's retreat in Malibu, Canada). I will never use another Orthopedic surgeon if I need to have surgery again. Dr.
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
is THE BEST! And he has to be as he is one of the Orthopedic surgeon's for the Seattle Seahawks. So if he's good enough for the Seahawk's then he's good enough for me. LOVE Dr.
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
- Linda R.

Staff is wonderful...I have scheduled surgery with Dr
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
on my back....I've had numerous questions and the office staff no matter who you deal with are very kind. Also use their patient portal which is convenient and prompt. I will continue to deal with them....but prefer to see them in their Chalfont Office. Willow Grove is a bit far for me to travel, plus requires I take more time off of work. But, all in all I like not only my doctor, who has a nice sense of humor, but also the very thorough staff who honestly takes time with you and would suggest them to anyone who has a Orthopedic Problem.
- Leslie E.

It went great! Dr
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
took the time needed to explain the results of my MRI and let me ask all the questions needed to understand my current situation and what I might expect in the future related to my condition. I couldn't have been more pleased!
Also, my elderly mother-in-law broke a bone just above her ankle and went to Dr
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
's office to get a cast. The office personnel and medical staff who helped her were GREAT! She was quite anxious and they put her at ease, patiently explained her condition, treated the problem, helped line up home health... all follow-up appointments went smoothly. NO complaints for either me or my mother-in-law. I would recommend this doctor!

- Mary Nell C.

I waited over 30 minutes for them to begin the exam.
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
, the PA, apologized for the delay. Dr.
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
Sullivan seemed hurried. I was quickly diagnosed with bursitis, and told to have a cortisone shot, which would alleviate the pain quickly. I was then told to have physical therapy, and the should would be good as new in 6 weeks.

This was not the case in the slightest. I was not advised of the possibility of an allergic reaction to the cortisone shot, which I had. When I called to ask why the pain had actually increased, I did not receive a response within 24 hours. I had to call a 2nd time, and still not response. The 3rd time I had to use my "Dr." title, which I hate doing, but then I did get an immediate response. There was no pain management or control, and I was not provided with any other options. Physical therapy proved to be not something I could do due to the pain. I tried the best I could to follow through with the physical therapy, but it did not help.

I then went to another orthopedic physician and had a 2nd opinion. I have what is referred to as "frozen shoulder" and I have classic textbook symptoms. The new physician was polite, but you could tell he was surprised this very clear condition was missed in the original exam. This is why I am writing the review, because while I understand people make mistakes, when you look-up frozen shoulder my symptoms or textbook perfect. I'm very concerned this was missed, especially because one of the markers of this condition is having diabetes, which I communicated to the physician during my initial exam. The 2nd physician also identified how my pain level needed to be addressed, which was never done by the first physician. As a health care provider in another field, I would never want to be treated or have the experience I had at DMOS.
- Kevin A.

A friend told me that that a
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
shot might have been all that was needed (by
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
, I should also say "painful"). When I raised this with the doctor, he said that it was possible, that it might work, and for some people that's all that's needed. WHY didn't I get this information earlier. Shouldn't doctors offer ALL options, beginning with the most invasive? I optend with the shot (Dr: "Are you SURE?? (as though I should think surgery and go off the grid for weeks as I recover). Shot worked. Saved thousands of dollars, no thanks to the staff.
- john E.

I was very disappointed in Dr
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
. He was not very friendly and did not give me a
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
to ask the questions that I needed before he left the room. He gave me a hand brace that ended up being way too small, but he never fitted me for it, the nurse did. I called several times to request another size, and they kept telling me someone would call me back...no one did. He recommended I get some nerve testing for my carpal tunnel and that the company would be calling be, but I never heard back from them. It has been over 1 month and I still have not heard back from the EMG. I called Dr
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
office 3-4 times to inform them the EMG never called to schedule an appointment as well as contacting the EMG a few times...No response from either of them. I reached Dr
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
Office twice to inform them about the EMG and they said they'll send another request...still no response.
My hand is starting to feel better regardless of not being able to use the brace for very long or do the nerve study. I have been using my opposite hand to do as much as I can so I guess the Inflammatory medicine he gave me ended up doing the trick.
Overall, I am astonished by the lack of response I received from Dr
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
office. I made a comment to Three of the nurses that they're hard to reach and all three of them said they knew and that it is not uncommon to have to call back 3-4 times (sometimes More) to get a response and to stay on top of them or it will never get done...That is just Ridiculous! What a horrible response. People are paying you for a good, quality service....Maybe your nurses need a calendar or something...But to have to chase them down to get things done is not acceptable. Luckily, all I had to pay was my Copay, but I certainly won't be giving them another penny or another second of my time.
I would Not recommend them and will not be going back for a follow up appointment.
The Two People I will Give Credit to was:
(1) The guy who took my X-rays- I did not get a name, but he was extremely friendly, happy, and helpful.
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
- I got his name one day and he bent over backwards to get me the brace that I needed....He even met me at my own house to provide the new brace so I wouldn't have to drive back to the office- Now That's Great Customer Service!
- Ashley R.

He was amazing. His staff is above par and responsive, he is very clear and concerned about his clients, etc. She was not healing properly due to a physical therapist issue and when we told Dr.
Rugby Orthopedic Surgeons Provider Name Locked
he had a new person out within a few days, his office followed up, etc. I'm VERY impressed with this surgeon and his staff.
