Instead of going the conventional route with flooring, think outside the box and try a different flooring material, such as bamboo, cork, glass or stone.
Whether you go quiet with cork or leather, or bold with glass or artistic tile, your flooring choices can set the tone for your home’s design.

"Etiquette and tipping experts agree that tipping a contractor and his employees isn't expected because contractors offer to do a job for you at a specific price. Any extra money they would want would be built into their bid. Also, it's a business relationship rather than one where they are performing a personal service for you like a waiter or a maid. But if the employees do extra jobs around the house, then experts say it is appropriate to tip a cash amount equivalent to the task; "tip gifts" such as cookies and drinks can count. "The key to tipping is whether or not it was outside the scope of what was normally expected," says Mark Brenner, author of "Tipping for Success!"
My opinion is that a little bit of courtesy (snacks, drinks, expression of appreciation etc.) goes a long way and upon completion of their work you feel compelled by a job well done to offer a little extra in the form of a tip - go for it, but do not feel obligated.
I get so many calls from customers that were talked into a "cheaper" way to do something only to find the work very sub-par. The sad part is they are out the money they spent in the first place along with the additional amount I have to charge just to undo what the first contractor did before I can do it right. This floor could end up costing you double what it should if it's not done right.

He was prompt, came the day we set, completed the work in time he said and his team did a great job with a number of challenges including molding and stair nose. LVP is a relatively a new product and we wanted to float it over our hard wood floors. We have multiple dogs and the hard wood get marked up quickly.. We wanted a product that can take the beating and not deal with tearing out or damaging the quality wood below so if we should ever move we can go back to the hard wood.
. Over the years, I've hired many a contractor and regardless of price there is always a degree of dissatisfaction ( quality, timing, completion etc) or substantial variance from fee quote. NOt so with
I asked about the manager about the base boards, moldings and encaps, which I had contracted for them to supply and install, he was not aware so he called
A few hours into installation, the manager informed me he had to leave and gave me his cell number if anything came up, to call him because his brother did not speak english. When I encountered a problem I called him and was told not to worry, he would be back shortly and it could easily be fixed. After a few hours, I called again, and when he showed up and refused to fix the problem. I then called
When the got to the kitchen I was told there was not enough flooring (this proved to be untrue) and was told to go and buy vinyl flooring.which I did and that was a big MISTAKE.
I discovered after they left that the base boards were cut short and some of the wood flooring was separating at the seems, I Emailed
I was not near the kitchen, I had visitors for my birthday and had to stay away because of fumes. Ends up he glued down some of the vinyl titles and used a color putting to fill the short spots, he told me he was going to leave me an extra tube just in case, and did not.
The floor is still coming up in the corners because it was not prepped for vinyl. I have a garage full of wood laminate to be installed in my kitchen. I would NEVER hire this man to do any work again.
I would definitely recommend
