"We had purchased a home and after closing, we saw that carpets were in bad shape and would all need to be replaced. We were leaving town for 2 weeks and moving in immediately after" our return. We had dealt with
on a small job at our prior home so went to visit his showroom.
responded immediately by going out to the house, taking samples and measuring so we could pick the flooring and get an estimate. We were able to quickly decide with his input and agreed on installation the following week. We left out of town on 8/27/14 and returned on 9/10/14 to absolutely beautiful floors-the wood is gorgeous and carpeting looks great. We weren't here to check on things as they were working but came home to a completed job with total cleanup. What a deal! The total bill was more than I had anticipated paying but we are so satisfied with both the products and workmanship as well as the service, it was worth every penny. It's great to work with providers that you can trust and do what they say they will do.
certainly exhibits those qualities.

"The overall experience was great! They were willing to work with pricing to meet other bids I had obtained. The quality of work was excellent. The installers were fast and cleaned up after the job was complete.

The job was explained great?
Harwood Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
told us exactly what the schedule was the entire process. He walked us through each step so we were part of the process. When he first came to measure he showed samples of the wood, showed and explained the difference between a cross grain scrape and with grain scrape. He also explained the reason they leave gaps at edges for expansion. This process was very smelly but we knew what to expect.

I have been living with my "new" floors for a year now and could not be more satisfied. The work was done with exceptional care and expertise. I would not hesitate to recommend Flagship Flooring.

We used
Harwood Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
on the recommendation of our AMAZING realtor to replace all of the carpet in a 4400sqft home we recently purchased and new backsplashes for the kitchen and two bathrooms. Our initial interactions w/
Harwood Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
were great and he was very kind in helping us select the right carpet and backsplash tiles. ...More /> Unfortunately, the OVERALL experience was incredibly frustrating for a number of reasons. Through no fault of
Harwood Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
's, the carpet we had selected was in the process of moving their mills which would have
Harwood Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
to a significant delay in being able to receive the carpet. Understandable and unavoidable. We then provided 2 other carpet samples we liked as back-up and moved forward. The problem arose when we tried to schedule the carpet installation as the rep from MFD wanted to wait until the carpet arrived before he scheduled installation (also understandable but we were on a time crunch and had to change our move-in date by >1wk to accomodate this). As other reviewers have already commented, my main complaint here was the lack of communication in letting us know when the carpet was actually going to arrive (between my realtor and myself, we must have contacted MFD >12 times to ensure we were on track). While the installation went reasonably well (except that the installer left cigarette butt's and carpet shedding all over our driveway), MFD was kind enough to come by and quickly fix a door handle that the installers had broken off by accident.
The bigger headache was the installation of our 3 backsplashes. We were told conflicting info on when the tiles arrived ("They're here!...oh no wait, they're not here, oh wait, the manufacturers lied to us about what they had in stock and we have to wait longer). It took over a month to get an appt scheduled after we ordered and PAID for the tiles. We were told it was hard to find good installers who would do such a small project. And like before, it took numerous calls on our part to get it scheduled. When we FINALLY got an appt set up while we were out of town (our realtor was kind enough to agree to meet the installers to let them in), NO ONE SHOWED UP. When we called MFD, they said they never received confirmation from us about the appt!!! They then scheduled us later that week on a Thursday WITHOUT ASKING US BEFOREHAND which did not work with our schedule. When the install finally occured, the installers told us it was definitely NOT a small job (despite MFD's claims previously) and took them the entire day to do. We also had other small issues after the fact w/ the quality of the install. In MFD's defense, the're project/site manager was very accomodating and kind in helping us fix the issues we had afterwards w/ the backsplash install (large scratches, broken electrical outlets, etc). He was the single redeeming part of the entire experience...which is sad when you think about it.
My realtor was so embarassed and appalled by MFD's customer service that she called them to complain and swore to never use their services again as it reflected poorly on her. We spent $15,000 on everything. I shudder to think how they treat customers who only make "small purchases."

After we had another company consistently miss their delivery dates and no communication, we contacted Mr. Flahery on the Friday before memorial day. He had carpet in stock and on Friday was trying to schedule a crew for Saturday. Due to the holiday no one was available but a crew was there first thing Tuesday morning. They were a little more expensive than the other company but I'd gladly pay it again because they are professional and responsive.

Had
Harwood Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
in for an estimate to have my floors sanded and stained. Very professional, came in a marked van with the saleswoman being semi-knowledgeable. Used electronic measuring tools to be sure of square footage. Ended up going with a different company for a number of reasons. Reason 1: We wanted to have our railings done at the same time and we would have had to had a second company in for that. Reason 2: We didn't like that they farmed out their flooring work to a 3rd party subcontractor.
Harwood Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
int'l said they would stand by their work but didn't sit well with me that I would have a different company in to do the labor. Reason 3: Another 2 companies came in 500.00+ cheaper for the sanding job. Maybe if I was having a floor laid with tile or bamboo puzzle-piece flooring I would have them back, but not for what they offer for sanding and staining.

The new carpet looks great. Their price was similar to two other bids, but I selected them in part because they said they'd move our furniture around. My wife and I have bad backs, and couldn't have done it ourselves. But paint was chipped on doorways when they did move the furniture. Of course if my wife and I had tried to move things ourselves, we might have chipped some paint in doorways as well.
And when removing carpet in one room, paint pulled away from the recently repainted baseboard. I don't know if that could have been prevented by running a box cutter blade along the
Harwood Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
between the baseboard and the carpet before the carpet was removed, or if it was inevitable.
In any event, the carpet looks great, and feels great when we walk on it. And we plan to hire them next year to pull out the carpet in one the rooms on our first floor, and sand and refinish the floor in that room and our kitchen. Their salesman didn't oversell, and their staff was prompt, and except for the chipped paint, they did a great job. Overall, we're very satisfied.

The store subs out its installation work to qualified contractors.
Harwood Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
bent over backwards to coordinate carpet installation with other contractors working on the house at the time. I was offered a bit of a discount on some extra carpet that was sitting around the store for a while and he wanted to move it. His price was an installed price. It included everything. No nickel and diming based on the phase of the moon, or extra travel, weird room shape, etc. His price was very competitive compared to others. It was a mostly vacant house. I gave them 50% down on an AMEX card. They showed up on time for the measurement as well as the install. After the install I drove down the next day and gave them the other 50%. Subsequently, my brother needed to have the kitchen vinyl replaced at the same address. After getting nickeled and dimed and somewhat gouged by other companies I recommended he simply call
Harwood Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
. My brother went down there. When he gave the address the sales guy remembered the job from about 60 days prior. Again, gave my brother a deal on a roll of vinyl they wanted to move. Their scheduling was a bit out of sync with my brother's work schedule. My brother gave them ZERO down and the keys to the now vacant house. He came back into town 10 days later and the job was 100% complete. He called in the AMEX to pay for the job. These folks are easy to work with and price competitive. They are worth a look.
