"My salesman was excellent in his attention to the details in the ordering process as well as keeping me informed throughout the entire process. The installation" crew did an outstanding job, were prompt and handled all my questions well. Would definitely recommend this company.

"It went great!
arrived on time and immediately assessed the job that would need to be done to fix the sliding door. He took his time and" was very thorough in cleaning the track and replacing the rollers on the sliding door. I don't think it's ever worked this well! Now I can actually slide the door using one finger!! I expect to have him return to work on some other sliding door issues in the future.

?

Hello - I hope my answer will help point you in the right direction.

The reason you're having a hard time getting clear information is because there are hundreds of companies saying their window is the best. There are probably millions of different features you can choose to have for your windows and in price ranges from $169-$1200 (per double-hung window).

I've been in the business for 15 years and have seen many different window products from many different dealers and manufacturers. This all comes down to: "what's important for you and your home?" If you want a strong warranty from a company who has a full-time service department to give you piece of mind and service your windows should needs be, or are you looking at only those companies who offer true wood interior windows that you can paint or stain to match the home decor? Whatever is your hot-button, then that's where you want to start.

I would recommend you first choose how you want your new windows to look. Wood-interior with vinyl clad is only offered by certain companies, while there is a vinyl woodgrain finish to give you similar results without the maintenance. If you're only looking for a white interior and don't want the maintenance, a fiberglass or vinyl window would be the best choice from what is offered in the market today (vinyl will be less expensive - not necessarily cheaper quality). If you are going to change out a window to a french door and a door to a window, then you WILL NEED to find a contractor with some carpentry experience. Some companies will tell you upfront that they do not handle those sorts of remodeling projects due to the complexity and time it would take to get it complete.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to personally help you with your project as we work in the New England Area. However, if you wish to talk further, please feel free to email me at: sven@ritewindow.com and I'll be happy to let you know our prices for what we offer so you can compare and hopefully find a similar company to do the work for you near the Austin area.

Cheers!

Get your roofer back out there.  Course of shingles above the window need to be pulled, self sealing flashing, drip caps, and counter and step flashing are going to be required here.

This is a flashing issue as the window connects to the mansard roof surface.

Condensation and a leak are two different and very noticeably different (i.e. volume) things.

Flashing and roofing on Mansards can be tricky but is sounds very much like a roofing issue.

?

+1

Much easier to scratch and typically not as good a finished quality as compared to glass.

Benefits are the resistance to breakage as mentioned by LCD.  Any glazing shop should be able to re-create that panel.

?

For a broken window (or leaking seal in multi-pane unit), for a standard roughly 2x3 foot window, can run from low of about $75-125 for single pane to more like $200-300 range for triple pane, depending on construction and any special ultraviolet or heat reflective coatings. If a removeable window unit, of course cheaper to remove it and take to replacement glass place then have them come out, measure glass size, order glass unit, then come back to install.

If taking in yourself, commonly they can do single-pane in an hour or two, but count on a week or so typically for sealed double or triple pane unit to come in, so you will have to seal the opening in the interim. That is an advantage of having them come out - they measure and determine type of unit on first visit and can seal with tape and plastic sheeting (if you have not already done that), then come back with new unit and install a week or two down the road - but you are not stuck with an opening in the wall for a long time.

They told me to be there at 8 am on a Friday. I live pretty far from them but I agreed to be there. I showed up and had them tell me, oops, my glass hasn't arrived so they rescheduled for Monday morning. I go Monday morning, they install my new windshield. A few months later, the top trim comes off of my windshield so I call them and was told to be there at 8 am on Friday Morning, remember I live quite a ways from them, so I showed up at 8 am like they told me to and they then proceeded to tell me they didn't have time that day to fix it, and I needed to come back on Monday. I told them it was a long drive for me. And the guy was not very friendly about it either. I decided it wasn't worth the trouble driving all the way over there again so I just bought the adhesive and fixed it myself. I feel like they could have communicated with me and saved me the extra trips but the office staff don't seem like they are very organized. I do not recommend them to anyone. Your time is more valuable than to be making wasted trip to them and wasted gas!

From the very beginning of walking into the showroom our experience was wonderful.
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
who works in the showroom new her stuff. She did not try to inflate the sale and actually educated us on the difference of 1/2" shower glass to 3/8". The difference is the weight and saved us money. I'm so glad that we went with her recommendation.
The installer was so nice. He took his time and made sure that everything was perfect before and after the installation. I can not say enough good things about this company. My shower door looks amazing!

As always I
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
Angie's list when I need work done around the house. I looked up electricians and called at least 7 of them and to make a long story short if they called me back at all they made me feel like the job was too small for them. I was given a time frame of 2-3 weeks for an appointment. I understand that it was not an emergency but having 10 outlets not in use due to these two GFCIs was a huge inconvenience.
I noticed that
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
did electrical work so I gave him a call. He called me back and from the beginning of the conversation I knew this was going to be a good experience. He was polite and acknowledged that the issue must be an inconvenience and said he could come out the next day. He called prior to his arrival and completed the work without issue.
I was working from home that day so he worked with my
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
and together they kept me updated. His pricing was fair and honestly half what some of the other electricians quoted me. I will be calling
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
again as I have several other projects now that my house is 10+ years old.
Thanks for the positive experience!

Precise installation without notable defects or imperfections. Coordinated with a concrete contractor whom he recommended to repair a lifted, cracked floor that would not allow seamless door closure. Timing had to be such that the new door would be able to close during temporary use of a gravel entry, until concrete replacement could take place. After the entire job was completed, including the concrete work, the door is now functioning very nicely. I prefer a more detailed estimate sheet than the (garage door) contractor provided in advance of the work, but we were able to speak as needed, including by telephone, so that I understood materials prices apart from labor. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. No significant problems.

My daughter in law called them to unlock her car. She was stuck outside in 90 degree heat, with a sick 7 month old baby. She was told that they would be there in half an hour and that it would cost $15.
Over an hour later, a person showed up to unlock her car. He charged her $215! When she told him that she only had $213 in cash, and that she was quoted much (MUCH) less, he told her he would take the $213 or he could leave. If she didn't like it, she could call the office. She was desperate, and paid the man every penny she had. When she called their office to complain, she was told that since she had paid the locksmith, there was nothing that they could do. Too bad, so sad. I feel that these people are unethical and

Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
did a very good job on two separate contracts that I signed with them about six months apart. The first contract was to replace exterior doors and the second was to replace some large picture windows. For each job, I got bids from three contractors before picking
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
to do the work. One bid on each job was from a local, unlicensed contractor that I had some limited previous experience with and the other two bids on each job were "A" of "B" rated contractors on Angie's List.
For doors,
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
specializes in ProVia, which are pretty high end and I expected their bid on the doors to be the highest but I was surprised when their prices came in a little under the highest bidder (an Angie's List "A" contractor). For windows,
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
uses more than one manufacturer and I picked the manufacture that I thought was the best fit. Again, their bid was a bit less than the highest bid I received. On both jobs, the unlicensed contractor bids were about 60% less than the others, which provides some indication of how much prices can range when you're getting bids from contractors. But those bids was too-scary low for me to have confidence in. One thing to keep in mind is that not all doors and windows are the same and you really have to do your research on the manufacturer to assess whether you're getting good value for the dollar.
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
is a family-run business and
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
came over a few days after I called them for each bid and he took measurements. I liked that he was able to give me a verbal bid for the doors right there on the spot for various options. Specializing in ProVia,
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
was pretty familiar with the product and the manufacturer catalog is pretty comprehensive. For the windows,
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
and I went back and forth on different manufacturers over a period of a few weeks and he sent me bids for several options. but he was very responsive with each of my requests. During the whole process,
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
's demeanor was low-key and there was no sales pressure.
Regarding installation, on both jobs, when
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
received the doors/windows from the manufacturer, they called me to schedule installation. There was a bit of a glitch with the scheduling of the window installation because of manufacturer delivery and
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
had to reschedule the window installation with me at the last minute. But in the case of both the door and window installations,
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
did a good job of communicating with me.
Overall the installations went very smoothly. The crew showed up when promised each day and worked continuously through the day. The only complaints I might make, which are relatively minor, is that when the window installation was finished, I wasn't completely happy with some of the finish/trim details but I let it slide. Also, when the crew came to the house with the windows there were no screens and there was a bit of a scramble to get the screens from the manufacturer after the fact. I would have thought that the installation crew would have checked that before coming out to install. But they were unaware until I pointed it out.
Overall, I would use
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
again. They're not the cheapest contractor but also not the most expensive. But they seem to run a fairly professional and fair operation.

I contacted
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
about a garage door that had gone off its tracks. Also, haha, by car was trapped in that garage. The door was beyond the point of reliable repair, unfortunately.
Zionville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
did offer to repair the door if I wished, though they recommended against it. Most importantly, they got my car out of the garage. They provided a pretty competitive quote for a replacement door. I ended up working with another company for that work, but I greatly appreciated their professionalism and practical advice as I called around for bids.
