"Salesman came out and discussed all the details and advantages of having a solar hot water heater.. When the installers came the salesman had not accurately assessed the size of the" hot water heater that would fit. They immediately went back to their warehouse and got the correct size. They were very professional and did not hurry. In fact they were here for 8 hours installing the solar heater and attic fan. They were courteous and cleaned up after the job. They called me for a follow up, arranged the necessary inspections, and sent me all the materials I needed to operate the heater.

"I had done a lot of reading and calculations of what I thought we could put on our roof and what it would generate. I also had some idea of what I thought it would cost and what the" payback period would look like. When
talked through the install process and timing and
ran through the financial numbers, I knew I had found the team for our solar install. The financial numbers shown were very realistic and towards the conservative side of all estimates I had worked up on my own with available data (much more realistic than some other proposals that came my way). The timing for the project (including buffer time for getting permits, etc) also made sense given my past experiences with home renovations. Now to the work done. We are extremely happy with the final product and the power we are generating is exactly in-line with our expectations. The project progressed very smoothly from start to finish. While there were some minor delays with permit approval, panel delivery, etc.,
were very communicative throughout the project and had built time into the work plan to make sure no large delays were encountered and the project kept moving forward towards completion. As echoed above, what impressed me most was their sense of reality related to large projects that have potential unknowns and they set realistic expectations/deadlines. All of the permitting was handled by them and they also brought in a structural engineer to confirm roof calculations. Once the install was completed,
walked me through all the software and connections that had been put in place. They also helped set us up with a SREC broker and submitted all the paperwork necessary for net-metering to
. I would definitely hire
again for solar and electrical work. Very professional all around and nice guys on top of that!

"I had to think about what I wanted to say in this review and that's why I'm only writing it now, in Sept, 10 months after the installation. It's unfortunate that one" person in an organization can have such a negative effect on an experience when all of the other people who touched this project were not only good, but exceptional. The sales person was honest and friendly and didn't try to gauge us on price, the way most of the other prospective vendors tried to rip me off on price. Believe me when I tell you that is a very important aspect of this purchase/experience. Only 2 out of 7 vendors did not try to rip us off on price. Everything went extremely well as the sales rep, who was also an engineer layed out the project with excellent execution. then it was all handed off to a "project manager" and it all went south from there. For example, one of the technicians didn't take very good care of our front panel door of our inverter. They put a couple of scratches on it when they put it up, and it wasn't noticed. When you pay 22k for something you sort of expect it not to get scratched up, but honestly to me, not THAT big a deal. I simply called them, told them it was scratched and asked them to replace it. I can't even count the number of phone calls I had to make to this project manager to get that taken care of, over several weeks. Then, there was an approx 4 week delay from the time they finished the install and gave the thumbs up to turn it on, and when the electric company granted that request. That's a pretty normal thing and they did warn me about that. When we finally got the permission to turn on the system from the power company, we did, but when we turned it on, the monitoring system didn't work. I made a couple of more phone calls, again to the project manager who sent over someone who had NO CLUE what he was doing and suggested something else might be the issue. Then I waited a few more days, and still no progress. Made several calls again to the project manager to try and get this issue solved, to no avail. I finally had enough and called the head office and spoke to a support engineer who headed the "monitoring side" of the company, and when I described the problem, he identified immediately, over the phone! what the issue probably was. The panel wasn't installed properly and they missed a key component. By completely avoiding this project manager, I managed to get head office to send someone over and in 10 minutes, had that problem solved. My question to the project manager was, in the 4 weeks it took to get permission from the power company to turn it on, didn't they think to test the system? I got a lot of tap dancing..... Finally, we were told the project manager would come by, after the completion and help us fill out the paperwork to obtain both our State and local rebates for the system. I made several more phone calls to this project manager who said yes, he'd either come by, or send someone and it never happened. Ultimately we lost the capability of obtaining those rebates, because by the time I called again after a few months, the rebates had run out of money. I know technically that was my fault, but should I really have to follow up that much to make that happen? The post sale support was terrible. The bottom line is it's unfortunate that a company filled with such great people can be so negatively affected by the poor performance of one. When that person is in the position of authority it can ruin an otherwise excellent experience. I would use this company again if and only if, we had a project manager who had their act together. This one didn't.

Solar Panel Installation reviews in Wrightsville Beach

After receiving design packages and bids from several solar companies I opted to go with
Wrightsville Beach Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
. Bid prices were very close once I was able to break it all down and compare apples to apples. Longhorn was the only company that asked for an opportunity to negotiate once I completed my due diligence. They did and I feel like I got a fair deal.
Installation was performed on schedule. They handled all paperwork with City of

The Salesman mislead us into thinking we would pay only $150.00 month, after the $1500 down payment. Then at the end of the year, we received a bill for $1000.00 from
Wrightsville Beach Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
. There were multiple cancellations for installation. The workmen that did come were thorough and polite, but had to come back several times. First they forgot to put the housing over the wiring on the roof, and the inspector caught it. It was a major fire hazard had it rained. Then they failed to bring
Wrightsville Beach Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
out before they tore into the wall to upgrade the electrical panel, so it had to be done twice. When they came to finish the wall, they knocked a hole in the wall that went straight through into my living room. We were promised a $500 credit, which we never received.

From start to finish, this was an extremely positive experience. I interviewed representatives from four different solar companies prior to contacting

. Cosmic's low pressure, highly professional approach to the sales process was educational and reassuring. This is a very well run family business and the owner, Bahram, is a highly knowledgeable engineer. His son,

Overall, it went well. In January and February, we worked on putting together a design which would qualify for the State of Minnesota Solar Incentive. In April, after my proposal was selected by the State,
Wrightsville Beach Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
Creek Energy placed the order with the Solar Array manufacturer and we finalized the design. This included adding in a new service panel and EVSE for my

. When the Solar Array manufacturer delivered the equipment,

promptly went on installing it in

, which took 3 days to complete. My concern, when they did the install, is that the people doing the install had a number of questions which I believe
Wrightsville Beach Solar Panel Installers Provider Name Locked
should have had answered before they came, and this took up the first part of the 1st day. They also seemed to struggle with how to handle some of the more complex runs of wires as well. Once we worked through those issues, they went ahead and did the installation. However, they had to come back the next week to finish some "touch-up" work as they missed installing the end-caps on the rails. After the Solar Array was installed,

got the electrical inspector out and finished the inspection.

and I then spent the next 8 weeks working with my electrical company for the interconnection and meters. This is where they seemed to struggle the most, as the electrical company (which they have worked with before) seemed to have a new set of requirements for the paperwork. That whole process took 7 weeks. Once that was completed, and I signed all the paperwork,

met with my electrical company for the installation of the meter, which went well. They are now finalizing the paperwork with the State of Minnesota Solar Incentive program.

Very, very impressive! Solar City covered the cost of installations, permits, and required modifications (our town inspector required installation of an earthquake shut-off valve on the gas line). They also took out a $2 million insurance policy on our roof before work began. Solar City owns the panels and sells power to us. They maintain the system. We entered a 20-year power purchasing agreement. The cost of power increases 3% per year, which should work out to less than PG&E increases rates over the same period.
The installation was outstanding! Solar City doesn't use subcontractors like other utilities and service providers. Everyone who worked on the job was a Solar City employee! That meant a lot to me because I care about doing business with companies that treat their employees well and generate good paying jobs. When I call with a question, I don't get a call center in India or the Philippines; I get a real Solar City employee who knows what they are talking about. The install exceeded my expectation in every way! Since I live in a one-level house, there is no conduit on the exterior of my home. The conduit runs through the top of my garage into the attic and through the roof. The foreman said it was more work for them but he wanted it to be as clean as possible. Believe me it is! SC even gave me a home owner association kit to help expedite approval from the architecture committee. Because of my roof design and trees in my front yard, the panels are not visible from the street. Only one neighbor can see them, so I didn't bother dealing with the association at all.
It's been about 3 weeks since we flipped the switch. Most days, we send more power to the grid than we actually get from the grid. We will see how things play out with the short days of winter coming. Either way, I pay Solar City the same price as set forth in the Power purchase agreement. The unknown is how much power I will purchase from PG&E if any. It feels great knowing our home is now part of America's clean energy solution and I don't need to worry about ever-skyrocketing rates from PG&E.
What if we move, you ask? Three options: a) For $1000 fee, the system goes with me to our new home; b) the home buyer takes over my PPA (which becomes more attractive cost wise with time); or c) The home buyer pays for the balance of the PPA in the real estate transaction. Any of the three options will be fine with me!

They were extremely knowledgeable and informative. Unlike the other company we had provide us with an estimate, they were much more interested in our energy use and developing a quote for the best system to meet our needs. They were also unique in that they were much more concerned about the aesthetics of their work to make sure that we did not come into conflict with

rules and that the project would minimize the impact on any neighbor views.

We just had a successful city inspection of our new roof solar installation. The entire installation went very smooth. As soon as the workers arrived, the lead installer (

Anytime we had any questions or concerns, she immediately provided us with the answers. Since we wanted the appearance of the solar system to look as uncluttered and tidy as possible, she made sure the final design incorporated a pleasing module arrangement and that all conduit would be almost entirely
