From the beginnig, we did not get all the details we had asked for in writing. Each time we asked, we were told that his estimate included everything. However, no details were written down. We were also told it would take between 4 & 6 weeks for the cabinets to arrive. At 4 weeks we were ready for installation, but he couldn't give us a day when they would be delivered. They could only tell us 1 day in advance. How is it possible you don't know when the cabinets are shipped and an approx date of arrival. Once the cabinets were installed, we had to continually call them back. Needed another coat of paint on the island and parts of the island weren't even painted. The drawers don't close completely in the wall of cabinets nor does the countertop fit snuggly. His comment was that it wouldn't show once everything was in place. True, it didn't, but knowing they aren't level is disturbing. The glass for the doors wasn't ordered until the cabinets actually arrived, and then he couldn't remember which glass we chose. All the pieces to the cabinets were not ordered with the cabinets, so we had to wait an additional 6 weeks for the cabinets to be completed, at an additional cost. These weren't add on's, they were the end panels, etc. He couldn't remember which counter top material we chose for the kitchen, which meant the counter top people had to contact me directly. Thank goodness they had it in stock. When ordering the bathroom vanities I asked about the faucet spread. Was assured they would be 8", but when they arrived, were 4". Anoter 2 weeks to get those in but he was kind enough not to charge us for the additional tops. Really? Since this is what we ordered in the first place. We didn't order top quality for the bathroom, but the wood on the sides are much lighter than the rest of the vanity. Should have had another coat of stain. Really disapointed in every aspect of this purchase and installation.

I hate to shop!
made this as painless for me as possible. He deals with very responsible providers. The stone, tile, hardwood, electricians, painters were the best. He was here everyday to tell us who and what would be happening. His timeline and budget were spot on. He checked in every evening to see that everything was to his high standard. My husband had a problem with 2 vanity door fronts,
said "if you're not happy, I'm not happy". He replaced them with no cost to us. I would highly recommend
to anyone! we've had a neighbors stopping by to check out what we've done and they love it.

Proprietor came by at the time scheduled and communicated that he would email the quote in a day or two. This never happened and a week later I followed up. He stated it was due to family coming from England for the holidays (Christmas). I accepted the explanation and waited for the quote which came a day or two later.
I have emailed him a couple of times regarding the project and he is never responsive within 24 hours. It usually takes several days to hear back from him. The last correspondence I sent asked how long would my project take from start to finish and what was his availability. He has never responded!!! I decided to call the office on 3/14/14. I spoke to the person who answered the phone and told them I was trying to reach
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
for a remodel project. The gentleman said that he would send the message out to
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
that morning and have him contact me. Keep in mind, that this was the information that I was trying to get in my last email over a month earlier that was never responded to. As of today, 3/22/14, he has not called or responded in any fashion. I am moving on and would not give him my business even if he calls tomorrow!

We chose
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
based on our terrific experience with their remodeling of our master bathroom.
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was fun to work with: knowledgeable, professional, reliable, and creative. We enjoyed the process of choosing stone, tile, cabinets, and overall design, and
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
made it easy to feel confident about our choices. He listened well to our needs, observed how we use our kitchen, and adjusted the design until we all felt very comfortable with it. He suggested adding a prep sink, which initially we thought was unnecessary (until we watched ourselves jostle each other at the only sink in the old kitchen!) In our previous review, we noted how
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
has fabulous specialized tradespeople. Many of the same crews showed up again and it felt like greeting old friends. They were all respectful, highly competent, and worked quickly. And all of them cleaned up after themselves. After hearing "horror stories" about other remodeling experiences, we thanked our lucky stars (and Angie's List) for finding
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
. Of course a kitchen remodel is one of the most challenging home projects. We actually cook and eat homemade meals (hence the need for a great kitchen!) so having our kitchen demolished was scary.
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
walked and talked us through the challenges. He set up a temporary kitchen in our dining room with microwave and even got our fridge situated so that we could continue to access water and ice. I can't tell you how helpful that was! Probably the most challenging part was refinishing the hardwoods. We had to move everything out of one side of the house so that the finishers could have access, then later move everything to the other so that the rest could be done. Yet even there
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
worked with us to help us figure out how and when we could do that project with the least disruption possible. We had one glitch when the backsplash tile we chose turned out vastly different from what we had anticipated. We called
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and he came over. We all looked and looked and talked and talked - and at the end of the day he said, "I don't want you to settle. I want you to love your kitchen as much as you love your bath." The next day we returned to the tile store, looked at alternatives, and brought home samples. We quickly chose a different backsplash, and
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
's men soon had it up. And we do love it. Everyone who visits comments on the lovely wall of tile. We put
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
in a bit of a time bind when our elderly mom wanted to return home sooner than we expected from an extended visit with other family members.
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
worked incredibly hard to get the kitchen ready enough to accommodate Mom's needs by her return date. I guess she could not wait to see the changes! So - if you are looking for a professional, somewhat perfectionistic contractor, one who keeps his word and does what he says he will do, choose

Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
is an amazing human being, as honest as the day is long. He charges a fair fee for the quality of work he and his team provide. He gets my vote for Contractor of the Decade.

& his crew did an outstanding job on our little “money pit”!!!

Our home was built in 1913 & we knew that it needed a lot of work when we purchased it last February. We needed to completely gut the kitchen & bathroom and start from scratch. My wife and I started to gut the kitchen ourselves & then quickly realized that we were way in over our heads. My wife began to research contractors and decided to join Angie’s List as a way to weed out the bad ones.
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
got so many good reviews we decided to call them for an estimate. This task seemed very daunting & we are so glad we called a professional!

I was working in

I have to say that I was very fortunate to come across
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
on Angie's list. I had never used the site before. I called several
contractors and he came across the most knowledgeable and was very professional. He came when he said he would and
provided quotes for any work he performed. Whenever something came up he would call, text, or email to clarify how I wanted to move forward. When I was unsure what I wanted to do or how things might look he was happy to make some suggestions and went so far as to meet at different places to go over what may or may not work. He is flexible and will try to make what you want happen. I was so happy with the work in my kitchen and living room that I currently have him remodeling my den.
The things that he has done are as follows:
-remove/replace drywall. patch/repair drywall and prep for painting.
-Install hardwood floors
-Install cabinets, farm sink , and tile back splash.
-Remove and replace several doors
-Trim work (crown modeling, trim on cabinets)
-electrical(undermount cabinet lights. switchesand sockets.)
-Plumbing (installed sink and new garbage disposal)
-Install Slate around fireplace
-locate and install one of a kind mantle
I am sure that I have missed some things. I have an older home so there were several time that he came across things that he had to be creative to say the least to make it look good and
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
to the occasion every time. There we a couple of times that I was happy with the outcome and he felt it could be better and changed it without additional cost and as hard as it is to admit he
was right!!!
Thanks so much for all you have done. I could'nt be happier.

Our grade is not based on the end product, clearly, its based on the process of the remodel and our experience.
Things started out quite well actually. A specific designer was recommended to us and we were lucky enough to get squeezed in just before she left to pursue another opportunity. We are extremely happy with our entire design, the space has become a joy in our lives. Unfortunately, we feel,
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
as a company had very little to do with the end product. Once our designer left K & B for good she handed our job over to another "designer" with the company. The new “designer” was nice and polite, but generally, in our opinion, completely uninterested in our job. Any information we needed we had to track down. Any scheduling of deliveries or decisions we had to make we had to call and ask about first. There were times I would get off the phone and wonder if anything would have happened at all if we hadn’t initiated it. Basically, we paid them a lot of money to do a lot of our own legwork. Fixtures of various types were given to us or delivered to our home wrong, and it was only because we happened to peek at the items before they went in that we discovered that they were the wrong finish/size/type. And when we would call to let them know, it was always a computer error or an item miss-sent by the factory, or our “designer” was “out of town” when said wrong item was delivered. Well on occasion we understand that happens, but why did it ever make it all the way to our house?? Why were items not being checked as they arrived in their office? If we happened to not check it out, it would have been installed that way, wasting time and money. This became the most stressful part of the project; we began to feel as if we had to micromanage their part of the remodel. Over and over again I felt lucky that we were living in our house during our
Wilmington Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and that our contractor was also paying close attention, or who knows what we would have ended up with.
Our renovation ended up taking around 8 weeks. And during that time (40 business days) our "designer" only stopped in 3 times, and one of those times she was 4 hours late for the appointment for our granite template, which she never acknowledged. Luckily our contractor happened to be there that morning and was able to help the granite rep since he had a lot of misinformation from K&B. We are certain our granite would have been completely wrong otherwise. On top of this, the granite rep also forgot to take our sinks with him, which, as we understand, our K&B "designer" should have been responsible for, but she was not there.
There were a few other incidents that destroyed our trust in them regarding corrective orders. I will spare the space of going into detail, but I will say that we were flat out lied to at least twice about the timeline of a few replacement orders, and then given bad information in all the days following up, and none of this was ever acknowledged by our "designer". We understand mistakes are made and oversights happen and that they can be embarrassing, but this incident showed a complete lack of respect for us as customers and the lying only increased our displeasure with the situation.
The remaining advice we have for those who do still decide to go with K& B, unless you're short on time and have the money to spare, we suggest shopping around for your own fixtures, tile, gadgets, lighting, appliances, etc. We understand that they need to make their money with some of these markups, but we were able to save several hundred dollars shopping on our own and know we would have saved closer to a thousand if we’d had time to do more.
The only circumstance that has saved this review from a lower grade than the one given is the kindness and cooperation of the manager there in solving a remaining minor issue we have, I regret not dealing with her earlier in our process.
