"We obtained three different quotes before choosing
to do our work.
was a great person to work with. He came to" our house, measured everything and gave us a very thorough quote. We chose him based on the lowest price and the fact that we saw the work he did in our neighbor's house. He was extremely prompt when getting back with us. He met us at the granite supplier and helped us pick out our slab. We picked an installation date that was convenient for us and he had no problem accommodating us. His team showed up right on time the day of the install and we were pleasantly surprised that he came as well - and stayed the whole time. His team was kind, considerate, friendly and clean. They finished the job shortly after noon - just as promised. The countertops are absolutely beautiful!! They look even better than I could have ever imagined and we are thrilled! The workmanship is excellent as is the quality. We went with the lowest price and feel as if we got an outstanding deal. We are extremely pleased with
and will recommend them to anyone looking to have granite countertops installed or any other granite work done.

"
promptly returned our call and gave excellent professional instructions that we used to correct the problem. The solution he provided was" not something that we would have figured out on our own. Although we were willing to pay for his services, he did not charge for the excellent and timely advice he gave us. It was refreshing to find a service provider whose main focus was solving the problem.

Artificial (quartz) is cheaper, more uniform, has fewer voids to collect dirt, and is almost as abrasion and chip resistant.

Granite is more expensive, stains and collects dirt a little easier as a rule, and is slighly more chip resistant as a rule.

For durability, I would not rate one over the other - barring a 250 lb guy hopping up on it and cracking it, either is likely to outlive you. Selection is typically based on appearance - quartz tends to be more uniform looking and does not always do a good job of simulating the veining and variations that natural stone has.

Now some of the man made stone counters rival the real granite and othe stones without the maintainence of stone. There are many of them out there and it is more a choice of looks than anything else. Corian is still a strong choice of tops today and one advantage is it can be repaired when scratched on site. If you don't mind the maintainence you can't beat the looks of real stone though unless you need a few pieces to make up the top as the graining may be hard to match up. I am impressed though at how realistic some of the man made products have become. It is more an issue of what brand are available in your area. Most all are made the same way with crushed stone and basically an epoxy binder used to make the sheets.

's extensive experience in this field proved very helpful with our granite and backsplash selections.
The fabrication and installation teams were wonderful. Everyone involved with this project was polite, knowledgeable and professional. The work was done on schedule and the installation team waited for our final inspection and approval. We could not be happier with the outcome.
In addition to this project,
Wilkesboro Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
was able to solve and repair a ongoing problem with our stone pebble shower floor.
We highly recommend

Their prices were good and they have a great selection of granite slabs in their location. We selected the granite and placed the order. They exactly measure the counter top once the vanities are installed in order to avoid measurement errors later. The counter tops were delivered and installed perfectly and professionally and they look very good....More /> My biggest issue through the project was not knowing when the installation would actually happen. I had to make many calls to the office but wouldn't get an answer. I couldn't plan the rest of the remodeling project properly because of this. However, this was a monor annoyance compared to the quality of the job they did. I ordered the back splash later so that they had to make an extra trip to install them but they agreed to waive it later as long as I could live with a longer wait time.

I contacted
Wilkesboro Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
(QC) via email based upon a friend's referral and the high ratings on Angie's List. I included in my initiating email specific information to base their quote. My request contained the specific granite slab I have on hold from a local granite yard, approximate square footage, I supply the sink, I would not need the services of their backplash, and I requested a price for metal (
Wilkesboro Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
) supports for the bar portion of the countertop. QC included in their quote all that stated above, the added price for plumming for the installation of the sink, and the cut out for the sink. Based upon the initial quote that was provided by QC totaling $1692, I scheduled an in-home estimate since they quoted us a competative rate on Wed. 1//21/15.
My husband took the day off to meet the representative 1/23/15 between 11-12. Approximately 10 minutes before my husband should have expected a rep. from QC to be at our home, he informed me that he received a phone call saying that the quote was wrong and that the quote should be $2336. Which is a $644 difference.
We are not unresounable and we understand that mistakes happen, but when discussing the numbers they were not willing to make any concessions. To give a perspective the best quote with the same perimeter and same granite slab is $2070.
I hope this information is helpful to anyone.

was rude, initially ignored me, and refused to help me figure out how many tiles I needed. She was supposed to be helping me, but then helped another customer and took 2 phone calls. She said to me, “How am I supposed to know how many tiles you need?

’t you have a contractor?” After I said that Stone Mart should be able to help me figure this out, she said “I’m not going to take the responsibility of that if I do the math wrong.” So I had to figure it out myself. I also called to see what grout color matched the travertine I bought and
Wilkesboro Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
told me “And how am I supposed to know that answer?” with a rude, snotty

The hard part was finding a competent, skilled, and affordable installer. Stone Mart suggested a poor quality installer, Seven Golden Floors. It’s great for Stone Mart business when they suggest a crap installer and then you have to buy additional tile when your project needs to be redone. My advice to future tile customers is to get porcelain tile and forget about stone. It's not worth it. It takes great skill and experience to install stone correctly (especially in a shower) and with quality. Stone is also high maintenance and chips and cracks SO easily. I'm always seeing new chips and wondering, "How the? What the?" I'm so delicate with it and yet still it chips. You have to seal it every 5 years and it’s difficult to clean. After living with it for half a year now, I would never do stone again. Porcelain tile is stronger than ceramic and more durable than stone. That is the way I will go in the future. Stone looks good, but it is not functional or durable when you live with it.

He was very efficient and the company had a nice personnel. He was very personable. He was running early and he called to make sure it was alright. It took him about 30 minutes to do the granite cleaning, polishing and sealing for me.

Had complete kitchen remodel done in late 2013. Design process was great and they started work promptly. Then halfway through job progress stalled and it ended up running a month over. Throughout the process you are promised over and over that you can call back if you notice any defects and
Wilkesboro Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
will take care of it and make it right. All I can say is good luck with that. After they get their last payment, they are gone. The best response I got from
Wilkesboro Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
was that he would give me the phone number of the subcontractor and I could deal with him. I am still dealing with electrical outlets that are loose, grout in tile joints coming up, missing molding around cabinets, a dangerous outlet below the kitchen sink, and missing an attic vent for

exhaust fan. I will say they kitchen does, from a distance look good. But the devil is in the details, and
Wilkesboro Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
does not provide quality work and there is little pride in provided a good product. don't waste your money.
