19th I had my 25 yr old
Wake Forest HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
Hydro Swirl water heater replaced. It was covered under my home warranty and i had it replaced by the warranty company's plumber. After it was installed, I had hot water but no heat. This was during the coldest temperatures we had had all season. I called the plumbing company but they refused to come back out and look at the problem saying it must be the heating system. So i called the warranty company again and explained my problem and they sent out

Wake Forest HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
arrived at the scheduled time and inspected my heating system and the new water heater. He contacted
Wake Forest HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
(the owner) and they discussed the possible problems and solutions. They figured out that a check valve had been placed on the intake line and it was restricting the flow to the heat exchange.
Wake Forest HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
then contacted the plumbing company for me and they sent out a crew the next day and removed the valve and the problem was fixed.

so i could thank him too. These are not just great

guys but outstanding people too. I don't think an A+ rating is high enough for this company.

"A guy named
Wake Forest HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
came and checked 2 furnaces, both of which he confirmed worked fine. One of them was draining condensation through a 3/8" pipe and freezing outside during the record low temperatures we had in
Wake Forest HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
first week in January 2014. Because of the smaller diameter this pipe was freezing up and shutting off the furnace due to accumulation of condensation water. He suggested to reattach the 3/8" plastic pipe to a larger 1" PVC pipe inside the basement. For rerouting of the pipe, he had to stop at Home Depot to pick up two T couplers for the pipes. He then cut the 3/8" plastic pipe in the basement and connected it to an older 1" PVC pipe that was also draining to the outside.

Wake Forest HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very knowledgeable and he did a great job. But I can't believe he charged me a whopping $229 in addition to the to $119 trip charge for a total of $348 for 2.5 hrs of work from which 1 hour was spent on a trip to Home Depot to pick up the two T-couplers. His cost of materials couldn't have been more than $15.

I KNOW THIS COMPANY HAS SEVERELY OVERCHARGED US. I should have picked up the materials myself and done it myself and just paid that trip charge $119 for checking the furnaces and confirming that the issue is freezing pipe outside. Oh Well. I will keep looking for another company for any future issues that may come along.

I would consider revising this review if the company issues me a reasonable credit for the overcharge.

"No problems. Sales person,
Wake Forest HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
, came to the home and then provided a written quotation. We accepted the quote within 5 days and material was placed on order. Components arrived approximately when expected and installation was scheduled in a timely manner. Installation crew arrived as promised and completed the job within one day. A couple of minor "glitches" occured during install which were quickly resolved without drama. No change to the quoted price. All work was completed and unit is working as expected.
Installation crew did not collect the monies due. Instead, after unit had been in service for about a week, Mr.
Wake Forest HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
called to see if all was well and then stopped by for his payment.

responded very quickly (next day). They came out determined that the unit was too old to repair
because the condenser had leaks and the compressor was worn out (18 years old). They suggested two alternatives to AC units that would be more energy efficient and offer rebates. Job was completed in 1 day. I was back up running with cool air by that evening. Thanks to

Wake Forest HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out and diagnosed that my furnace wasn't lighting because the burners were dirty and rusty and needed to be cleaned.
He said I would have to pay the diagnostic fee ($89 before Angie's List coupon) plus an additional $215 for the service (which would take about 10 minutes). I told him I thought over $300 for 15 minutes of work was too much. He called in to the office and after much discussion they were willing to do the work for the diagnostic fee alone.
I called the company back the next day to tell them that while I was pleased that they had been willing to lower the price, I didn't feel I could give them a good review since after researching their original quoted prices, they seem way out of line with other HVAC companies. I wanted to give them a
Wake Forest HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to explain why they were pricing the burner cleaning so much higher than everyone else.
During our discussion, the GM discovered that the book had the repair listed as taking 1 1/2 hours and therefore being worth $215. I was also told that normally my type of repair should have been rolled under the diagnostic fee ($89) or down to a 'Tune Up' fee ($49). Either of which would have been agreeable to me. Had
Wake Forest HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
done that to begin with I would have happily given
Wake Forest HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
an A.
I can't verify that what I was told about the book's prices is true, but I'd like to believe that this business aims to do right by their customers and made an honest mistake when quoting my job. And when they found I was unhappy, they agreed to the price I felt was appropriate instead of arguing with me.
Wake Forest HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
seems like a very capable technician and open to helping customers. This may have just been a one of those bad days for him. While I do so with some hesitation, based on my conversations with the GM, and the explanation he gave, I would recommend their work.
My furnace is working great now.

was on time, very professional and knowledgeable. he did a great job and was careful not to make a mess in my house,
leaving his shoes on the porch and covering the carpet in my finished attic where he was working on the furnace. I finally found my go to guy for HVAC service.

arrived promptly onsite to review the old unit and provide replacement alternatives to choose from. Once replacement was identified

's two man crew onsite the next morning. They were very professional and provided an estimate when they would be finished and ready for a walk-through. They actually finished nearly two hours early and did an excellent job in presenting the new system features and functionality along with new thermostat. The new system fits in the surroundings beautifully compared to the rudimentary installation job done by the original home builder equipment."

arrived on time, after calling ahead. He was friendly and professional. He went into the crawl space and checked to see that the humidifier filter was OK (and he is a big guy). He also recommended that I sand and paint a pipe in front of my unit outside to keep the black iron from deteriorating. I asked for and got a quote from him to do the work, altho I think I can do it myself. All in all, I was pleased with his service.

the technician showed up, introduced himself, and checked out all of my units and immediately found the broken capacitor. He then explained the pricing, and after we agreed on what needed to be done he fixed the unit, cleaned up, and brought me my bill. He answered other questions I had about future work on my H&A system."
