It started out a little rough.
and I had a little bit of trouble communicating. He seems like a nice guy, but maybe had too much going on at once. My husband stepped in and then everything went smoothly until he mis measured the backsplash in the master bath. He was supposed to make it slightly taller so we wouldn't have to paint. He did offer to pay for the paint which was nice. We tried to color match the paint so that we wouldn't have to paint the whole bathroom, but that didn't work. Anyway, after we painted the bathroom
came back to finish the job. We also noticed that there was a problem with the sealer on the kitchen counters and the seam was very dull. He came back a third time and polished the seam, scraped the sealer off and resealed. Apparently, the sealer is supposed to be wiped off and his helper never wiped it off in the kitchen. He was very apologetic. The finished job looks great and his price was good. We understand that people make mistakes. He fixed the problems and we are happy with his work.

Total disaster.
1. First off the measurements were way off. The 1.5 inch overhang fluctuated from 0.5 inch to 2.75 inch.
2. The agreed design only had 2 seams, when then tried to install it there was 3
3. They cracked the granite and tried to hide it from me
4. The proposed solution to the short overhand was to cut a 24x48 section of the drywall and recess my cabinets into the wall. This is an exterior wall so I would have no insulation or support to hold up the wall
5. While installing the granite onto the peninsula, they didn't set it on top, rather they slid it onto the peninsula causing it to shift. This make a huge scratch in my brand new floor and made my peninsula no longer 90^ to the wall
6. The gap from the wall to the granite is about 5/8 of an inch. There should be no gap. It is so large the back-splash wont cover the gap.
I put a deposit down on
21, 2014 and here we are on
29, 2014 still trying to resolve this. The president of the company,
, was scheduled to come to my house to negotiate a settlement and she cancelled after being 10 minutes late and said she had to leave out of town YESTERDAY and forgot to cancel.
I will be taking this company to court.

was very prompt in returning my call and scheduling within a few days. He showed up on time and did a fabulous job with all the items! Our French limestone shower looks beautiful again! He's a pleasure to work with! He carefully protects the areas he is working on and cleans up very well.

Every time I walk on my limestone floors I am upset! And, this is after I spent $4000.00 to "restore my floors to near new condition". I had numerous chips in some tiles and had them replaced. In replacing them, the tile
Southern Pines Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
created huge gouges bigger the original small chips. In addition, numerous tiles were laid unevenly. Not only is it unsightly, but over time they will chip even more. And, now I'm out of matching tile and it is unlikely I can find the same to repair the damage done. (A little money was reduce down to $4000, from the original price due to the shoddy job, but I'm left with a shoddy job!) Where they grouted these tiles, the grout is not even with the tile. Also, when I asked the workers if they were going to grout areas where some of it was missing, they said they don't do that. The only grouted one specific area where all the grout was missing. Now I have to go out and find matching grout and finish the job myself. (Not easy for a 74 year old handicapped woman.)
When they cleaned the floors they did not adequately protect the adjacent hardwood floors. Now I have to hire someone to repair the stains left by their cleaning solution. I am also curious as to what sealer they used. When I asked the workers, they said it was their own product, then the owner told me they use Pourous Plus from Home Depot. In sealing the limestone, one person sprayed a light spray while another lightly mopped. They asked if I wanted them to do it twice and I said yes. (When I had my floors done in the past, a large amount of 511 was spread evenly with a rag all over the floor, rather than a light spray.) I can only hope my clean floors are well sealed.
I had to ask the workers to clean a portion of my stamped concrete driveway where, in trying to back their large truck onto the street, they had to turn their wheels bank and forth at least 10 times to get out rather than simply asking the tile

to move his truck forward a little so they could easily get out. The rubber from their tires ground into my stamped concrete and I had to ask them to clean it which they did. I also had to clean up their bagged trash in my side yard where they had lunch after they left.
The only additional thing I can say is that my limestone floors are clean and they did do a good job grouting my kitchen sink which was not a part of the contract. I think the workers are polite and the intentions of this company are good, but they have a long way to get their act together!

We engaged

to complete an unfinished outdoor kitchen that another contractor had left us in the lurch on. The framing was mostly complete but not yet ready for installation.
Southern Pines Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
and his team finished the work without complication, enhanced the framing so that it would support a stone countertop and installed it.
The project looks great and the quality appears to be top notch. He was always friendly and took care of business. We weren't always sure of the status but it got done quickly so that wasn't a big concern. I would recommend him to friends and would use him again.

I give QSC an A+ for quality of materials and workmanship. I rarely hire a contractor to work on my house, prefering to do most repairs and remodels myself to ensure work is high quality and done according to code. We picked a medium grade all wood cabinet and found exactly the granite we wanted on QSC's lot. The cabinets QSC sells are made in the USA, which was a plus in our minds. The quality of the cabinets that were delivered was more than I expected for the price. QSC's carpenter and granite countertop installation team exceeded my expectations in all respects. The cabinets were installed level, plumb and so straight that the countertop installation team only had to use 1

to install over 2 slabs worth of various shaped countertops. I am still amazed at how well the granite pieces fit together on the 45 degree bar countertop. You have to look real close to find the seams. The carpenter was careful to install the cabinets with screws through the wall studs. Not a single screw missed a stud. We ordered a lot of accessories for the cabinets that took a while to install, such as wire pot/

racks, utensil racks and sliding drawer bottoms. The carpenter installed each piece carefully so that it worked flawlessly with the cabinets and retracted fully when the cabinet drawers and doors were closed. I am very pleased with the quality of materials and workmanship of installation. That's the good. As with any experience, there is always room for management improvement. The first area of management improvement is communication. We had a little bit of miscommunication about the color of the cabinets between the sales team and what was actually delivered. We thought we ordered a darker version of the cabinets that were delivered only to find out the darker version was actually a different style of cabinet. QSC was gracious enough to give us a discount after-the-fact on the price of the cabinets. In the end, the color of the cabinets worked well with the granite. Another area of improvement is materials estimating and ordering. We ordered a patterned glass for 2 of the cabinets that was clearly in the contract. Plain glass was delivered with the cabinets. It took over a month to get the patterned glass due to it being a special production run at the factory. Then, when the patterned glass did come in, one of the windows was the wrong size for the door and had to be re-ordered. In addition, the amount of linear feet of crown molding that was ordered was not enough to install on all the cabinets. It took more than a week to get more from the cabinet maker. The third area of improvement for QSC is project management. I hired QSC because they promised me they would install both the cabinets and the countertops. I had been to half a dozen other contractors who either did just the cabinets or just the countertops. I did not want to end up being my own general contractor on the job. However, it seems QSC has grown to the size that they have split their company into departments. The cabinet installer is one department. The countertop guys are in another department. The guy who orders the materials is in a third department. I don't think any of these guys ever sat down together and discussed the overall plan for my project. The carpenter didn't know exactly when the countertops would be ready. The countertop guys didn't know that the carpenter had not finished because he didn't have enough crown molding. And, well, I won't even begin to speculate about what the purchase department guy knew! Every time I wanted information about the progress of the project or the schedule I had to call someone different. Who usually had to call someone else. QSC needs to assign a project manager to every job they take on so that the homeowner has a single point of contact to call for issues, schedule updates and project status. Would I use QSC again? Yes, because of the extremely high quality of their workmanship and the fact that the craftsmen always showed up on the job when they said they would, which to me are the two most important aspects of any project.
