"It was in great pain upon arrival. I don't walk without the use of a cane, nor bend over. Dr.
was patient, kind and effective, as well" as her staff. Over the course of 4 weeks, I'm back to my normal active self. Can't praise them enough.

"Very well. Dr. Hodas did my initial exam and the bulk of my followups. I went to 11 appointments total. Dr. Hodas built an exercise regimen for me while also performing" manual therapy. She is knowledgeable and skilled. Each visit was followed by incremental improvement in pain and range of motion. When my progress was stalled, she addressed it head-on by performing a massage on my knee to break up fascia and scar tissue - the following day my swelling had gone down a lot as the massage allowed for the fluid to flow out of my knee and allow my body to take it away. The other doctors were also very helpful. This includes Dr. Foigelman-Holland, Dr.
, and Dr.
. The assistants were also great in helping me understand my exercises and improving my form. I hope I never have to go back, but if I need PT again, I will consider
PT before I consider anyone else.

5 questions to ask before starting physical therapy

Are you in need of physical therapy? Make sure to ask a prospective physical therapist these five questions before making a hiring decision.

Physical therapy

A physical therapist evaluates, diagnoses and treats parts of the body that aren’t functioning properly, are healing or need rehabilitation, whether they’re athletes, the elderly or the rest of us.

To avoid repetitive motion injury and a need for physical therapy, frequent position changes and simple stretches are important at the computer or on the road.

I usually order this item through another provider, but was shopping for a better price and found JRS Medical Supplies.

Where I had been ordering a quantity of (1) each for $19.95 and getting a box of 20 plastic "Carebags", JRS had listed (1) each for $10.03.

I ordered it and when it arrived what they had shipped was (1) "Carebag", not a box of 20, but 1 plastic bag and charged me $10.03 for it.

I certainly was not expecting to pay $10 per bag when I had been paying $1 per bag. I was also surprised that they would break open a sealed package to sell one item out of it. The plastic bag was sent loose, not in any type of sealed package it would have to be in if it was meant to be sold per bag.

I truly felt it was sent that way in error and called the company to get the order corrected. The employee answering the call was pleasant enough, but felt sure the order was filled as they meant it to be. The manager quickly became defensive and interrupted me frequently while I tried to explain my case. To get a refund would only cost me more money to send it back, etc.

(btw, oddly when the "JRS Medical Supply" contact number is called, the JRS employee answers with only "Hello?")

I was honest in telling them about my injury. I then told them my insurance would not pay for service and that I wanted to inquire about the billing fees and any installment plans. They never responded to me. They never called me back. I felt I was discriminated against because of a lack of insurance. A friend of mine later received PT from this office a few weeks later without any issue for his knee without any issues because he had insurance that would pay for the service.

This is an excellent organization, with knowledgeable and friendly staff. My physical therapist (
Smithfield Physical Therapists Provider Name Locked
) worked with me to get my range of motion well beyond my surgeon's goal. (Pre-op I had 100° range of motion. My surgeon's goal was to increase that to 110°. Working with
Smithfield Physical Therapists Provider Name Locked
, we got it to 118° -- which allows me to again ride a bicycle.) All milestones for each patient are computerized, so that if another therapist works with you for a given exercise, he or she knows exactly what you've been doing and what your goals and limits are. An option, if you want it, is to have your joint iced down after your workout. Do it! I feels great and is very relaxing.

I needed physical therapy to get my shoulder moving again after rotator cuff repair surgery. I had never had physical therapy before so I didn't know what to expect, however my friends had given me many horror stories about their physical therapy. I highly recommend

Dr.
Smithfield Physical Therapists Provider Name Locked
is amazing. Personable as heck - I felt incredibly comfortable talking with her, and felt like she really cared about me and helping me get better. She clearly had a lot of experience, and was able to assess my current condition, as well as overall issues that could be contributing. Frankly, I felt a lot more comfortable with her advice than with the podiatrist's - she was actually listening to me, closely. I'm actually looking forward to PT, imagine that.

I've been struggling to find doctors in the area, and Dr
Smithfield Physical Therapists Provider Name Locked
is like this beacon of hope - see, you can get great care and great bedside manner!

Rebound a a practicedpractice is pretty cool practice - they are colocated with
Smithfield Physical Therapists Provider Name Locked
Sports Center, so they have a ton of machines and an Olympic sized saltwater pool for various therapies. It's a pretty sweet deal, actually.

My assigned physical therapist was

Ten years in the past, I required the same surgery for my right shoulder. The surgery and recovery services were performed in a different

Overall, it was a positive experience. I was not only helped in their facility but also provided with the tools I needed to continue exercises and healing at home. Although each patient is given a primary therapist to work with, the staff are friendly and work together. My therapist,
Smithfield Physical Therapists Provider Name Locked
, went over and above to see the patients improved and feeling better. They seemed honest and caring and I have recommended them to friends.
