, and their entire staff have been a pleasure to work with. Once the weather cooperated and work started, it didn't" stop. What I thought was going to take a week, took three days. The work encompassed the entire back and side yards. The crew was polite, punctual, and patient with my two big, goofy dogs. The office staff was helpful and patient as the project kept getting pushed back due to the amount of rain we received this summer. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants work that is done in a timely fashion and done right the first time.

"Been having intermittent leaking in the basement and wanted a plan to help eliminate. First year in the house was dry as a bone. Subsequent years had issues with" clogged downspouts (two are directly feeding into the foundation a la 1950 french drains) and poor upkeep on my part. Chose this business because of the reviews and the $49 dollar estimate voucher. Initial meet up was 2 weeks after the purchase of the voucher and resulted in little more than a sales pitch. Upon first entering the house, the employee was shown the basement and within 10 minutes of his arrival began advocating for an interior drain while opening up a folder with payment plans. A solution was presented so I went along with his recommendation and I mentioned exterior drainage and was given an anecdote about a client who improved the exterior drainage only to call on AR&W for an interior drainage system. All together a second well and sump pump, two back up sump pumps, interior drain, and gutter extensions of ~100ft x3 were estimated at over $9000. This is all without any initial observations of the exterior system. He simply walked in and looked at the basement for <5 minutes and suggested and interior drain while touting the companies quality and diminishing competitors. After speaking with neighbors and coworkers regarding their basement issues, not a single person I knew had an interior drain put in and I called for a revision of the initial plan. The business was accommodating and revised the cost to ~$6000 for one 120ft drainage line, 2 15ft extensions from the gutters, and a back up sump pump. While seeming excessive, it was accepted that this was the least invasive. All the while I was reminded by the salesman that exterior work wasn't as good as an interior drain. Two weeks ago I had a family crisis and incurred medical expenses that were more important than the house and asked for termination of the contract which they obliged. However, $613 of $1k downpayment was retained for expenses related to estimates. No labor was performed. A coworker recently told me that she had been looking for business to help with waterproofing in the South Broad Ripple area and she came across the same tactics. When I mentioned the name of the business and the sales employee involved she confirmed the same business. My final impression of this business is that they initially pitch expensive repairs that MAY not be nescessary (as evidenced by lack of exterior analysis) and use pressure tactics to get you to sign on the spot (10% off signing the day of, sign the day of for expedited scheduling).

Angie's Answers

Mold in a basement is a common problem. My company helps people with this every day. Some of the answers you received were helpful but not all the information is correct. First, you need to eliminate the two main ingrediants that mold needs to survive. The first one is water intrusion. This is a must. I am assuming you have no water intrusion as you make no mention. The second componant that needs to be eliminated is moisture. Moisture is also humidity. Basements need to be kept airtight in the summer months. Some folks have posted that you need air flow in your basement. Nothing could be furthur from the truth. When you open any windows for example, not one micron of air goes out of the basement, Warm humid air is sucked into the basement. Houses suck air into the basement and it meets the cool surfaces and skyrockets humidity. The windows must be kept closed and a dehumidification device installed to ensure humidity stays below 60% humidity. The dehumidifier should be energy star rated and purchasing a seperate humidity guage is a must to monitor the unit's progress. We like to keep our customer's basements at 50% humidity. This eliminates the smell that is active mold spore growth. Once the water and humidity is brought under control. Remove the organic materials that have mold on them. Walls, sheetrock and studs that have been affected. Follow the advice of previous posts as you must ensure that you do not affect the rest of the home. Once removed, install new walls using as much inorganic material as possible. We also install vapor barrier over the walls and seal the floors to stopwater vapor transmission into the basement. Poly plastic is not a acceptable vapor barrier. It is not "zero-perm" and will still allow moisture transmission. It will also crack and break into pieces over the years. A PVC liner rated "zero-perm" is the correct product in this application. Depending how large the basement is and if it is sectioned off will determine the dehumidifier strength. We use the Santa Fe line of dehidifiers as they are super energy efficiant and work like a dehumidifier on steriods. I hope this helps and I wish you the best in Basement Health!

Where is the home located, what is the exterior wall construction and type, how is the space heated?

It could be a whole host of different scenarios that would generate that result.  It is nearly impossible to tell but I would say that most basement moisture problems are a result of bulk moisture intrusion or condensation issues.

Given the deep and hard winter this year, it could be a condensation issue that hadn't previously been shown.

Basement Waterproofing reviews in Morrisville

It is rare to find someone who is genuinely concerned about the consumer rather than the paycheck;
Morrisville Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
with ULB is one of those individuals.
Morrisville Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
, an owner, was thorough, thoughtful, and considerate with his evaluation of our property.
He explained our options and advised us to take certain actions before continuing with the waterproofing solutions we thought we needed (whether we decided to go with him or someone else). The insights he provided will take a few weekends to implement, but will probably end up saving us thousands of dollars in the long run.
If we still need services after implementing his suggestions, we will definately be using ULB Dry!
- Ryan O.

They did a very poor job that was very costly to us. The entire system does not work at all according to an engineering report that we have had done. All the work that they did on on both of our crawlspaces was done totally improperly. I would highly not recommend them for any work in your home.
- Walt R.

It went excellent.
Morrisville Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
was honest, sincere and answered all the questions I had regarding the work. He never used high pressure sales tactics and just let me make my own decision. I got quotes from 2 other companies who tried to sell me what I didn't really need at twice the cost as

I trusted
Morrisville Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
's analysis and proposed treatment. The treatment proposed would have been a long-term solution that involved an internal excavation. It would come with a 30-year warranty and a dry basement guarantee. It would have cost around $3,000+, so we decided not to go that route just yet, while we wait for our home builder to "hopefully" step up and resolve the issue. But the inspection, analysis, and estimate all seemed fair and
Morrisville Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
was knowledgeable and professional.
- Bryan S.

Overall, the entire experience was positive, from the assessment and estimate through the repair process itself. The two gentlemen who provided the services were professional and competent, and responsive to our questions. And the final cost matched the estimate. No mess was left behind, either. We would unhesitatingly recommend Aqueduct to anyone having similar issues.

thoroughly examined our basement and gave us a detailed estimate. (The job was worth about 100K.) In the end, we decided to go with a company that offered complete remodeling services, since we wanted to install a new bathroom. But we were impressed with

's professionalism and attention to detail.

Morrisville Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
came over to give me an estimate and was really great. Another company had tried to upsell me and tell me I needed a whole new drain tile system, but
Morrisville Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
, probably costing himself money, assured me that a new sump pump would solve the problem for a fraction of the cost.
After that, communication was an issue. After I sent in my deposit, nobody got back to me about when the job would happen. Even after they cashed my check, I had to call three days later and get the information myself. And even then, I was just told a couple of days as a range. Every piece of information, be it getting the final estimate, booking the job, or getting the date for the job, I had to initiate contact every time. It was kind of like pulling teeth.
When the crew did come, they worked Friday for about four hours and then left, saying they would finish the job Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning. They didn't come back at all that weekend and none of my phone calls or messages were returned. It was extremely frustrating. I understand that things come up and appointments are missed, but to not call and let me know and make me wait around my house all weekend was totally unprofessional.
However, when they did finally come back on Monday, they got the job done and it looked great. They did a very professional job and they worked their a**** off. I really appreciate that. The communication problems were frustrating, but the job itself, when completed, was excellent.
