"When we got up on Saturday morning (1/7/12) we noticed that our beagle was acting sick. We kept an eye on him for an hour or two, but he was rapidly going downhill - he had bleeding in one of his eyes, he could hardly walk, and he was obviously in pain. I called our regular vet, but they were closed for the rest of the weekend. I'm not blaming them - people and pets always seem to get sick or hurt when the doctor is closed! I called a couple of other local vets, but everyone was closed. Several of them had answering machine messages advising us to call CVETS for after-hour emergencies. I went to Angie's List and found their listing. From there I went to CVETS' website and saw that they are open 24/7, so we mapquested the location, loaded the dog in the car and rushed him in. CVETS is located in
, right off of
Road, near 485.

He was quickly taken to an examining room, a history was taken, and some blood tests were done. In just a short time the doctor concluded that he had somehow eaten rat poison and was hemorrhaging internally. Dr.
prescribed vitamin K to help his blood clotting, and a pain
/anti inflammatory. We were very impressed with how clean, modern, efficiently run and knowledgeable the doctor and hospital were. We were home in just a couple of hours, medication administered and dog resting comfortably.

We were afraid to guess how much an emergency vet visit would cost, but we were pleasantly surprised. The visit itself cost $92.75, and the blood test and medications were also reasonably priced. We paid a total of $186.38 - paid gladly in order to save our pet's life.

I'm happy to say that three days later, our dog has almost completely recovered. I'm writing this review to let other Angie's List subscribers know how wonderful the CVET facility is. We always hope we don't need an ER for our pets, but it's so nice to know this one is open and waiting if we do.

"Dr.
and his staff are wonderful. They got
an appointment in very quickly and I didn't have to wait long to go back. Once in the exam room, Dr.
was very prompt and also didn't keep us waiting long. He was very nice and did a thorough exam and seemed to genuinely love animals...I would recommend this veterinarian to anyone!! :) Very reasonable rates, 5 STARS!!"

"This is an integrative Vet office. They use a holistic approach to caring for your pets. I started going there because my dog developed skin allergies and my regular Vet wasn't able to help him. When I took him here, they were able to give him herbs, honey, and changed his diet which cured him. Their prices are a little high, but I feel that it's worth it. Everyone there is wonderful! The technicians are all like dog whispers, they are amazing and know how to handle my animals."

"Dr.
Monroe Veterinarians Provider Name Locked
was able to determine that it was a food allergy, she changed his food to a holistic food which corrected the problem and put him on a supplements. We saw results within a week and after two weeks it was hard to even tell that he even had a problem. The service was great but we did have to wait approximately 45 min after our scheduled appointment."
