Every Wednesday evening I have the same routine- go to the rear of my condo and wheel around the brown canister and place it in the correct direction at the end of the sidewalk adjacent to my front door. Every Thursday morning the big white truck comes around, the guy wheels the canister to the rear of the dump truck, and has the truck empty my canister. The truck
it and the guy wheels it back to its original location and they move on to my neighbors. This exceptionally
process has happened every single week since April without failure until this week 8/21/2014.
I was working in my front office with clear view of the neighborhood, including the trash cans lined up near my neighbors. I heard the familiar loud noises in my quiet neighborhood and happened to look out just in time to see the truck back in to pick up various trash cans from my neighbors. Then I watched them drive off. I called
Service and spoke with an exceptionally nice lady that said I wasn't the first call from my neighborhood and she would radio the truck and have them come back. While working in my home office I heard the truck come back for a second trip and back into the circular drive that sits in front of my condo. I saw a guy come from the truck, open my neighbor's canister to find it empty (as I watched them empty it the first time) and then walked back to the truck and drove away. Irritated at this point I then called back and told the very nice female that answered the phone what I had seen. She then proceeded to ask me if I was absolutely sure it was actually full. I told her I was positive and she placed me on hold. I walked outside and opened to canister to make sure I hadn't somehow missed something and I saw a full can. When she came back she asked the same question again and I told her I had the lid open looking at it. I was then asked if I was sure someone hadn't put their trash in my can. With it being in clear view of where I was working, I was positive. She said they would send them back out yet again.
At this point I had to drive to work for a meeting. While in the meeting I received a call/voicemail stating that the driver had been out a third time and my trash can was empty!! Irritated, I called and told her that if he had seen it empty then it wasn't my trash can he was looking at. That is when the alleged owner came on the line and asked me where I was placing the canister. I told her that it was in the exact same spot it had been in for months and it had been collected every single time. She then told me if it had been in the proper location then the driver would have picked it up. I told her it was in the same place in front of my condo as every other can that had been collected, including my next door neighbor. She continued to tell me that the driver had been on the route for 20 years and if my trash had been collected previously then he must have been driving where he shouldn't have been driving. Instead of finding a solution and expressing empathy for my frustration she was busy telling me how it must have been either my fault or the driver's since he must have been driving where he should have been for months. I was so frustrated by the end of the call that I ended the call properly (I didn't hang up on her) and just decided that I wouldn't get anywhere. If I had been properly explained as to why the truck didn't come to me but did my neighbors then I would totally get it, but there was absolutely no attempt at working toward an understanding or solution. This goes beyond just "
your trash ten-to-fifteen feet to the left," because as a customer I want to know why I've been picked up for months and without warning the driver just wouldn't pick up as usual until I ask them to come back for a fourth trip.
I don't feel the customer service was present at this level nor did I ask to escalate it to the alleged owner. I find there was no solution being offered by the company except to roll my canister 10-15 feet to my neighbor's condo and hope we all get our service collected. This is very unacceptable in my book as Customer Service 101 will tell you that you never push the problem onto the customer to figure out! You always come up with a solution!!! I will be searching for another service and will go with another company before renewing. This just isn't what I've come to expect from
Service and I'm highly disappointed in the lack of customer focus.

From the start, I was impressed. The sales agent made an appointment, explained the pricing procedure, and told me that the movers would give me a no-obligation estimate once they arrived The crew called me a half hour before as specified to let me know they were on the way.

The company honored the $50 Angie's list coupon too, bringing the original cost of $243 down to $193. I would recommend this company to others and will use their services again.

I have never seen a garbage removal service go through trash, refuse to take trash, leave trash in the garbage can as this guy's company does. I have also talked with neighbors and they have complaints about him as well. If he decides he doesn't want to take your trash he doesn't. What the heck does he think he gets paid for. I would definitely not recommend this garbage company to anyone and intend to leave a note for the new buyers of our home not to use this service.

I emailed them and requested to speak with a supervisor but they just had another receptionist answer me. I asked to speak with the owner also and that was not honored. They lie and they don't honor the terms of thier contract, yet they won't let you out of the contract. I would never ever hire them for any reason. There is no trust with a company that won't even let you speak with a supervisor when you are getting nowhere with the people that answer the phone.

crew of two hauled all the heavy items from the downstairs to their truck. This included mattress and box springs as well as a freezer. They hauled all the items in bags and were able to take off a door to help with the work. He put it back on when he was done. The biggest thing was that they got all of the stuff from the attic. I was very impressed by this. There was two and 1/2 loads of stuff from the house. They were very quick and efficient.

When Tiger decided to discontinue service, their only attempt to notify customers was to put a flyer on the cans. There was no email, no letter, no phone call, and no message on the Tiger website. Nobody in this neighborhood ever saw a flyer -- until a sales representative from a different company showed us one today! It was dated 7/21/2014. The invoice I received on 7/1/2014 said nothing about discontinuing service. It had a note, "Please be aware that due to increased operational costs, your next invoice may include a rate increase." When I paid the bill on 7/22, Tiger had no hesitation about taking payment for the period 8/01 through 10/31, even though they knew that they were not going to earn all of it. The first I knew about Tiger discontinuing service was when a neighbor called -- she had seen the collectors picking up the company's containers and asked them what they were doing. When I called the Tiger business office, a polite young man told me: "we're no longer providing service to your area. If you have credit on your account, we will send out refunds, but I do not know when that will be." I find it absolutely appaling that there was only one feeble attempt in a month to contact customers. It is equally distressing that Tiger appears not to have a clear idea as to when -- or even whether-- its former customers will get refunds. In summary, I now consider

Used this company for about 17 months. Moved to a new location, was told that they do not have the resources to move my

so I had to do it myself. Three weeks in a row at my new location the driver only took half of my trash. Each week I called in and as told that it would be resolved by sending the driver back out and that they had no idea why this would happen. Asked to talk to a supervisor and was told that they only pick up two cans, which is news to me as I have a large family and have always been able to put all my cans out. I was then told that the company could not afford to pick up my trash as they were a small establishment. The supervisor was argumentative and had no accountability for the mistake they made. I was then told to find another provider. Save yourself the trouble, DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!

We used this company for the entire 15 years that I have lived in this location and each billing cycle the charges increased due to fuel adjustments. I know there is inflation and fuel adjustment; however, I would also expect that if the price of fuel drops my cost would drop but this does not happen.
When I cancelled service effective August 13, I was told that I would be charged through the end of August. That is not acceptable. I will not pay for services that I will not receive.
To top all of this off after 15 years of using your service they say I will be billed $70 dollars to pick up their two containers. I do not care if they are picked up are not. This is totally unacceptable. To the best of my memory, I was charged a delivery fee to get them. I will not pay to have them picked up.

Republic also would not cancel based on my phone call. I had to send a written request. When I ordered services, you did not ask for written confirmation.
I will update as soon as I know what I am billed.
I switched to another company that is charging $90 less per quarter than Republic. They are also less strict and will pick up trash that is not in a container (bags, lawn trimmings, limbs, etc.)
The overall rating of "C" is mostly due to the price. Also, we never knew if trash would be picked up early or later in the day.
The service rep was pleasant and professional.
