Handyman Reviews in Indian Trail

This is our second time using Mr
. They pulled out and replaced both of our daughters bathtubs put in new surround. They did awesome work, worked hard, on time and cleaned up after themselves.
- Rhonda S.

Diligent, efficient worker. Very fast. Just have to pay a little more attention to quality, but very willing to do the job right. Very reliable, on time, etc. Responsive to communication. Good choice for general
inside, and outside the house.

to refinish walls in master bathroom and paint, replace crown molding and baseboard. The job entailed only part of the bathroom where a shower had been replaced. He was squeezing me in when he could because he was overbooked and I was willing to work with him. His first attempt...the walls were not smooth and the paint bubbled.

said he would come back and do over. Second attempt...the same thing. I complained not only about the poor workmanship, but the waste of time and paint after his two attempts. When trying to force in a baseboard, a tile was cracked and another tile popped out. He swore he did not crack the tile, but it was not cracked before. The base board he attempted to install even cracked from jamming it in and he just filled it with putty. Meanwhile, by forcing the baseboard in the small space, one of the tiles popped out. Again, he denied doing it, but it was so very obvious what caused the damage.

did offer to fix, but after many failed attempts and damage happening as a result of his work, I declined. No money was paid, however, now I have to hire a tile guy to repair tiles and still have to have the original work done.

is the best handyman I have EVER worked with in the
Indian Trail Handyman Services Provider Name Locked
area! I would recommend him to anyone. He is quick to come out and gets estimates out in a timely manner. He started work right away. He painted rooms and ceilings. He replaced an interior door. He replaced weatherstripping on exterior door. He power washed the house, driveway and deck. He installed all the new kitchen appliances. He replaced a vanity top in the bathroom. He replaced lights in the kitchen. There were also a lot of little things he did, too....Everything was spotless...painting was perfect...I had ZERO complaints.

performed all the work in an excellent manner, just as we hoped. He was most courteous and very talented with respect to mounting the TV. He used a laser measuring system to ensure the paintings were hung perfectly. He was meticulous with respect to cleaning up after the work and ledft the rooms in which he worked as least a clean as they were when he arrived. I would highly recommend

did a great job. He is very professional and personable. He is detail oriented, punctual and has excellent follow-up skills.

I booked this company through an Angie's List special. I got 4 hours of handyman service for $153. I was happy with the price. The phone call with their office went okay. They booked my time, but when I tried to describe what I needed done, they didn't really want to know. They said me serviceman would call me the day before. Okay. The serviceman showed up on time for our appointment, and wanted me to show him everything I needed, but didn't take any notes. Then he collected his tools, and the person who brought him to my house left, so he had no vehicle. I need to mention that for the time he was at my house, he required my full attention, and sometimes assistance. If he thought he might need a third hand, why not send two people to this job? The few times I tried to make a phone call, he actually rang my doorbell to get my attention. In my opinion, a handyman should assume that I'm either really old, or unable to work. That's why I hired him. To do the job, not make me help. We started with the lights, and that went fine. My main concerns were my front gutter, which has not been working well for a long time, my back window, which looks like it's separating from my house on the outside, and a small piece of siding, which we had mistakenly nicked with the weeder, so it had a hole in it. He climbed up to look at my window, but needed me on the inside to help him. Apparently, I got to be his assistant for the day, which bugged me, because I'm hiring a handyman to do the jobs I can't, or won't do, right? So we look at the window, he on the outside, and me, on the inside. He yanks on the frame a bit, cracking the drywall inside, but showing me it's secure, because it's pushed all the way against the wood sill inside. Says there's nothing he can do, and it won't fall out. Ok, now I have a crack in the drywall that I need to caulk later. We move on. We move to the gutter. He climbs onto my porch roof, and begins to clean out the mess, but informs me that the problem is the gutter was not installed correctly, and the water will not drain, because it's not sloped enough. Well I know his company does gutters, so I ask, "Is there something we can do about this today, or do I need new gutters?" He says he'll get back to that point. We move on to the siding. I had bought a piece of siding prior, because a previous lawn care guy told me that I could slide out that one piece on the bottom and replace it. I share this info with my new handyman, and he says, no he can't replace it. This may be the case, but I tell him that this information does not solve my issue. He says I can fill the hole with white silicone, which I don't have. We move on to the door bottoms. I had already bought new door bottoms, in anticipation of this visit, so I give them to him. He looks at the door bottom, looks at my door, and says, "This is intended for a door that swings out. We can't use it." What? There are no doors that swing out! I mention this, and he seems a bit confused. I'm beginning to wonder about his level of expertise at this point. He tells me he will try to make it work. After cutting the first one of two, he says it's the wrong size for the door. Great. For my fours hours of handyman, I got light bulbs replaced so far. But I see he has only been at my house for a bit more than 1 hour, so I tell him we are going to Lowe's together, and he can show me what to buy. Of course, I'm driving, because he doesn't have a vehicle. We go to the home improvement store, and get the door bottoms, and silicone for the siding. He also noticed I had loose shingles on my porch roof, telling me the builder apparently never properly glued them, but he can fix it with silicone, so we get that too, although he had to ask the guys at Lowe's many questions. He didn't seem like a professional. Now with his chosen equipment, he can make the rest of the repairs on the list. While he is on my roof, we talk about my gutter at length, finally. No, I don't need a new gutter. He would just want to reposition what I have. Can we do it today? No, because it would take two people and he is only one. Is this my fault that his company only sent one guy? After working for three hours, he had mostly gone through my chosen list of chores, even though he didn't fix everything that he could have if he had a co-worker, so I sent him home. He was the highest maintenance maintenance man I have ever encountered, and I'll be finding someone else to complete my gutter repair.

were very punctual, professional and eager to assure that I was pleased with their work. Due to inclimate weather the total job took a few days longer than anticipated - but I didnt' have to worry about calling them back to complete the job. UHS also took the initiative to have their insurance company provide a Certificate of Insurance with my name and address issued as Certifiecate Holder. Overall very satisfied with the whole experience...nice to work with true professionals!!

arrived bright and early and got right to work. They were fairly sure they could do everything in one day, and were still going around 8:30 p.m. when they decided they needed to come back and finish the next day. That was fine, except they charged us for a shorter 2nd day at a higher rate, which we felt was not fair. They also were to have taken a look at a couple other things while they were here, and even after being reminded several times, they didn't do it. Except for those things, they did a good job.
