"I started going to him after I had a problem with a root canal and crown 9 years earlier. Somebody recommended them. I went there and they did a good job with that." It takes a long time to get an appointment for a routine thing. If it's an emercgency, they'll try to fit you in. It's a beautiful office. They don't screw up your insurance form.

"we've gone to the same dentist for probably almost 30 years now. Prior to him there was another dentist at the office and about 20 years ago he bought out the" practice. He is probably at the cutting
of things. He had his office redone about 2 years ago. He can do just about everything in the office himself. He can make implants, he's got all the specialized equipment for stuff. Everything's electronic records, he can send them anywhere in the country for emergency. This guy is modern. You don't wait for something to be sent out so someone else can create your dentures and stuff. They can do it all there.

Prosthodontics/dentures

Missing, discolored, chipped or broken teeth can seriously affect your smile, dental health and self-confidence. A dentist specializing in prosthodontics can restore or replace your missing teeth.

Crowns are considered a common dental procedure. Gathering information about this treatment option prior to visiting a dentist may empower a consumer to make the best decision for their own oral health.

Avoid a gap-toothed smile with modern dental implants. Better than bridges or dentures, implants can replace a lost adult tooth both in fashion and function.

The crown attaches to the abutment which has either an external or internal hex to hold it in place.

Depending on the condition of your jaw, teeth and gums, a dental implant procedure can take as little as a few weeks or as long as nine months as your dentist, oral surgeon and prosthodontist restore your smile.

I am familiar witht he ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers across the country, in particluar, the one in Overland Park, KS.  They are a "one stop" implant center.  The doctors there are at the top of their field, and an advantage is that you have all of the specialists that will be working with you in the same place.  That would have to make communication easier between doctors.  They usually offer seminars for patients and I think, offer free consultations, which is always worthwhile.

If you chose to go the other way, some Prosthodontists will place and restore the implants themselves. In other cases, an Oral Surgeon or Periodontist will place the implant and a Prosthodontist or General Dentist restores it.   Fees can vary quite a bit from office to office and with the different options for restorative materials.  Some offer free consultations, for others, they charge a fee that might be applied to any future treatment in some cases.

The first step is to schedule a few consultations with different providers, which it sounds like you've already done.

The most important factors when deciding which practitioner to work with:
:
.1.  You should feel comfortable asking your doctor any questions so that you have a good understanding of the procedure itself, healing time and long-terem outcome, and possible complications.  Write down a list of questions and take them with you to the consultation.

2.  Ask about the experience of the practitioner. How many similiar procedures have they completed?  Have they had any major complications with any cases?  Ask to see photos if possible.

3..Figure out if it works out better for your schedule, to go to a "one stop" provider or to separate providers for the placement and the restoration of the implants.

4. Follow your instincts.  If you feel rushed, didn't get direct answers to your questions, didn't communicate well or had any other negative feelings, this probably isn't the doctor for you.

5. Consider insurance coverage and financing options.  If your dental plan covers implants and it is important to you to use a preferred provider, you will want to check your list.  Many times, insurance does not cover implants, or at least not all of the steps.  You may want to inquire about payment and financing options.

I hope this at least helps you feel a little less confused and a little more directed. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of further help.
Sincerely,

As a  Dentist, I am sorry to hear about your denture nightmare and I know how frustrating that can be.  I am surprised that your doctor wasn't willing to work with you on some type of solution.  A few options would be either remaking the dentures once more,  or offering to return some of the money and have you return the dentures.   Unfortunately, the doctor has put in a lot of their time and lab expenses, but the patient also  has time and money invested.  You might try sending a letter re-explaining the problems you hand and offering an acceptible and fair solution.  Be sure to keep a copy of it and any correspondence you receive from the Dental Office.  In the event that you don't get anywhere, you have documentation of the problem.

At any point in the process, did they have you sign something saying you were happy with the denture set up?  Some practitioners will document the patient's acceptance at the try-in appointment, before the denture is processed.  At that time, changes in tooth arrangement, size and color can be made with minimal lab expense.

If the letter doesn't get you anywhere, you might try going to the governing body of the dental profession in your area.  I am a dentist in Blue Springs, Missouri, USA.  Here, we have the Missouri Dental Board  (or the Dental Division of the Missouri Department of Professional Registration.)  This is the entity that licenses us to perform our professional duties in our state.  They often have a process to file complaints against a provider if you were unable to resolve the problem yourself.   After your complaint is received, they will contact the doctor to get their side of the story, then try to mediate a solution between the two parties.

As far as a new set of dentures, you might seek out the services of a Prosthodontist (specializes in dentures and removable appliances - extra training and certification beyond general dentistry) or go to a local dental school.  The students are supervised and checked off at each step by professionals.  Most dental schools also treat patients through their faculty practices, and you can often get the services of a specialist at a lower price.

I hope this information is helpful to your situation, and I wish you well.

My treatment has not been completed yet. The administration is good and the billing is good. They work with you. I don't have that much money but they were able to work it and make it a good plan for me within my budget. They don't bug you about the money. They still treat you.

He works with you. If your insurance doesn't pay a whole lot, he lets you make payments and stuff like that. I've been seeing him about five years. If my partial breaks, I take it in there and he fixes it for me at no charge. My wife's dentist charged her $100 to do the same.

I've been using them for at least 15 years. They're really good. I have dentures and they did a really great job with those. I've had a great experience with mine. Their prices are good. The dentist is a nice guy, friendly and courteous. He's great.

I find Dr.
Graham Prosthodontists Provider Name Locked
and his staff to professional and extremely helpful. I have had quite a bit of dental work done over the past year and a half and am grateful to have found them.

The front desk staff is helpful and always friendly. I find Dr.
Graham Prosthodontists Provider Name Locked
to be informative and great at giving options when there is a decision to be made.

On this visit he recommended me to see another dentist for some specific work, and this impressed me. He always gives me options/alternatives when they exist so I can make the best decision for myself and what I can afford. He explains what he is doing and what is happening as he does the work and I appreciate this. The assistants are all friendly, helpful and attentive.

I was informed about both veneers and bonding and I chose bonding at this time as I have other work to be done and will consider the veneers on my front teeth at a later date.

I am happy to have found

I had a cavity and had my tooth filed back by this dentist . He sent me to have a root canal and then advised me that I needed to go see a periodontist. This was to build up a tooth so that he could put a cap on it. The periodontist refused because he found a cavity still remaining in the tooth. I went to a second periodontist and received the same diagnosis, there was still a cavity. Both put it in writing. Dr.

was rude and downright mean when I tried to bring this attention and had no beside manners. He wanted to accuse me as the patient and tell me that I wasn't trusting?? I should have known as another individual who used him had the same experience. Needless to say, I will not use his practice again.

I was really unhappy with their hours of service. Service is by appointment only which I was not informed properly. I was only told to be there by 8:30 am for same day dentures. I took off from work thinking I would get just that.. They asked for my appointment time and I replied what the person told me on the phone. After some discussion the gave me some paper work to fill When completed I returned to the window and was t told they would take impressions today but I would have to come back tomorrow for fitting. Again I told them what I was told on the phone. And they replied I would have to come back, with excuses why they couldn't do it today. My reply was if they couldn't do it today I would just have to forget it because I didn't know when I could come back. So I left and lost a days work for nothing plus the cost of the trip. The next time I made an appointment, I got there and they lost my paper work I filled out before so I had to fill it out again. I got the impressions done in the morning and was told to come back at 2:00 pm. I did at which time I was fitted with it and some adjustments were made. I tried several times to get more adjustments made I was turned away again because I didn't have an appointment after the girl told me to come back anytime to get adjusted. The next time I called to get an appointment they couldn't do anything because they decided to close early. As time goes by I began to realize how poorly it was made. I first noticed that the outer
Graham Prosthodontists Provider Name Locked
was way too tall and that was making the denture hurt too much to wear it. I decided to fix that myself. I then realized the teeth on my right side wasn't even close to touching. and the left side was hitting first and no matter how much I wore that it wouldn't close no matter how hard I bit down. It wasn't until I set them down on my sink I seen the 3 of the teeth on the left side were down further than all the rest. I could accually rock them back and forth. the last tooth on the left was higher than the other three. The last thing I saw was the teeth were miss aligned and was set in too far which made my top rear 4 teeth on the left side come closed in the middle of my natural teeth. Over all I would rate this a very poor business to deal with. #1 was the hours because they don't have working people hours, extended and week ends. They don't do walk ins..Working people don't want to take off work nor loose the money just to come in. #2 the quality of their workmanship is very poor. I believe they sould take more pride in their work and make sure the customer is totally happy. I would avoid this place at all cost!
