"I find Dr.
and his staff to professional and extremely helpful. I have had quite a bit of dental work done over the past year and a half" and am grateful to have found them. The front desk staff is helpful and always friendly. I find Dr.
to be informative and great at giving options when there is a decision to be made. On this visit he recommended me to see another dentist for some specific work, and this impressed me. He always gives me options/alternatives when they exist so I can make the best decision for myself and what I can afford. He explains what he is doing and what is happening as he does the work and I appreciate this. The assistants are all friendly, helpful and attentive. I was informed about both veneers and bonding and I chose bonding at this time as I have other work to be done and will consider the veneers on my front teeth at a later date. I am happy to have found
, it is convenient and the staff is the best.

"I had a cavity and had my tooth filed back by this dentist . He sent me to have a root canal and then advised me that I needed to go see a periodontist. This was" to build up a tooth so that he could put a cap on it. The periodontist refused because he found a cavity still remaining in the tooth. I went to a second periodontist and received the same diagnosis, there was still a cavity. Both put it in writing. Dr.
was rude and downright mean when I tried to bring this attention and had no beside manners. He wanted to accuse me as the patient and tell me that I wasn't trusting?? I should have known as another individual who used him had the same experience. Needless to say, I will not use his practice again.

Missing, discolored, chipped or broken teeth can seriously affect your smile, dental health and self-confidence. A dentist specializing in prosthodontics can restore or replace your missing teeth.

Crowns are considered a common dental procedure. Gathering information about this treatment option prior to visiting a dentist may empower a consumer to make the best decision for their own oral health.

If you need false teeth, a denturist or prosthodontist should be able to fit you with comfortable and affordable dentures to match your needs and budget.

If you are missing several teeth, or considering a full or partial denture, your best option is implant supported dentures, says Petrusha. (Photo by Katie Jacewicz)

Avoid a gap-toothed smile with modern dental implants. Better than bridges or dentures, implants can replace a lost adult tooth both in fashion and function.

Angie's Answers

I am familiar witht he ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers across the country, in particluar, the one in Overland Park, KS.  They are a "one stop" implant center.  The doctors there are at the top of their field, and an advantage is that you have all of the specialists that will be working with you in the same place.  That would have to make communication easier between doctors.  They usually offer seminars for patients and I think, offer free consultations, which is always worthwhile.

If you chose to go the other way, some Prosthodontists will place and restore the implants themselves. In other cases, an Oral Surgeon or Periodontist will place the implant and a Prosthodontist or General Dentist restores it.   Fees can vary quite a bit from office to office and with the different options for restorative materials.  Some offer free consultations, for others, they charge a fee that might be applied to any future treatment in some cases.

The first step is to schedule a few consultations with different providers, which it sounds like you've already done.

The most important factors when deciding which practitioner to work with:
.1.  You should feel comfortable asking your doctor any questions so that you have a good understanding of the procedure itself, healing time and long-terem outcome, and possible complications.  Write down a list of questions and take them with you to the consultation.

2.  Ask about the experience of the practitioner. How many similiar procedures have they completed?  Have they had any major complications with any cases?  Ask to see photos if possible.

3..Figure out if it works out better for your schedule, to go to a "one stop" provider or to separate providers for the placement and the restoration of the implants.

4. Follow your instincts.  If you feel rushed, didn't get direct answers to your questions, didn't communicate well or had any other negative feelings, this probably isn't the doctor for you.

5. Consider insurance coverage and financing options.  If your dental plan covers implants and it is important to you to use a preferred provider, you will want to check your list.  Many times, insurance does not cover implants, or at least not all of the steps.  You may want to inquire about payment and financing options.

I hope this at least helps you feel a little less confused and a little more directed. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of further help.

As a  Dentist, I am sorry to hear about your denture nightmare and I know how frustrating that can be.  I am surprised that your doctor wasn't willing to work with you on some type of solution.  A few options would be either remaking the dentures once more,  or offering to return some of the money and have you return the dentures.   Unfortunately, the doctor has put in a lot of their time and lab expenses, but the patient also  has time and money invested.  You might try sending a letter re-explaining the problems you hand and offering an acceptible and fair solution.  Be sure to keep a copy of it and any correspondence you receive from the Dental Office.  In the event that you don't get anywhere, you have documentation of the problem.

At any point in the process, did they have you sign something saying you were happy with the denture set up?  Some practitioners will document the patient's acceptance at the try-in appointment, before the denture is processed.  At that time, changes in tooth arrangement, size and color can be made with minimal lab expense.

If the letter doesn't get you anywhere, you might try going to the governing body of the dental profession in your area.  I am a dentist in Blue Springs, Missouri, USA.  Here, we have the Missouri Dental Board  (or the Dental Division of the Missouri Department of Professional Registration.)  This is the entity that licenses us to perform our professional duties in our state.  They often have a process to file complaints against a provider if you were unable to resolve the problem yourself.   After your complaint is received, they will contact the doctor to get their side of the story, then try to mediate a solution between the two parties.

As far as a new set of dentures, you might seek out the services of a Prosthodontist (specializes in dentures and removable appliances - extra training and certification beyond general dentistry) or go to a local dental school.  The students are supervised and checked off at each step by professionals.  Most dental schools also treat patients through their faculty practices, and you can often get the services of a specialist at a lower price.

I hope this information is helpful to your situation, and I wish you well.

Prosthodontist reviews in Graham

I've been going to him for several years. He's excellent all the way around. It's very clean. They're very professional and very friendly. I call them for an emergency and they get me in as soon as possible.
- Michael W.

I was really unhappy with their hours of service. Service is by appointment only which I was not informed properly. I was only told to be there by 8:30 am for same day dentures. I took off from work thinking I would get just that.. They asked for my appointment time and I replied what the person told me on the phone. After some discussion the gave me some paper work to fill When completed I returned to the window and was t told they would take impressions today but I would have to come back tomorrow for fitting. Again I told them what I was told on the phone. And they replied I would have to come back, with excuses why they couldn't do it today. My reply was if they couldn't do it today I would just have to forget it because I didn't know when I could come back. So I left and lost a days work for nothing plus the cost of the trip. The next time I made an appointment, I got there and they lost my paper work I filled out before so I had to fill it out again. I got the impressions done in the morning and was told to come back at 2:00 pm. I did at which time I was fitted with it and some adjustments were made. I tried several times to get more adjustments made I was turned away again because I didn't have an appointment after the girl told me to come back anytime to get adjusted. The next time I called to get an appointment they couldn't do anything because they decided to close early. As time goes by I began to realize how poorly it was made. I first noticed that the outer
Graham Prosthodontists Provider Name Locked
was way too tall and that was making the denture hurt too much to wear it. I decided to fix that myself. I then realized the teeth on my right side wasn't even close to touching. and the left side was hitting first and no matter how much I wore that it wouldn't close no matter how hard I bit down. It wasn't until I set them down on my sink I seen the 3 of the teeth on the left side were down further than all the rest. I could accually rock them back and forth. the last tooth on the left was higher than the other three. The last thing I saw was the teeth were miss aligned and was set in too far which made my top rear 4 teeth on the left side come closed in the middle of my natural teeth. Over all I would rate this a very poor business to deal with. #1 was the hours because they don't have working people hours, extended and week ends. They don't do walk ins..Working people don't want to take off work nor loose the money just to come in. #2 the quality of their workmanship is very poor. I believe they sould take more pride in their work and make sure the customer is totally happy. I would avoid this place at all cost!
- Larry C.

He did not take any measurements before having my dentures made. The guy he has make the dentures makes them in a trailer on his farm. I didn't think this was very sanitary. I wasn't impressed with the tech who made the dentures; he didn't look very competent. Dr.
Graham Prosthodontists Provider Name Locked
had all of my teeth removed at once. I felt horrible after the removal. It was twenty teeth at once. I think this was poor judgement on his part to have them all removed in one procedure. I didn't feel that Dr.
Graham Prosthodontists Provider Name Locked
listened to me; he was busy chatting with the nurse about his vacation. He didn't explain anything to me about the process and treatment. The office is very fancy, but it's generally empty. They just want to get you in and out. After almost a year, I still didn't have my dentures. I ended up going to another dentist just to get the dentures made. My new dentist took lots of measurements and was very careful to make sure they will fit well.

Gruesome as this sounds, the staff and Dr.
Graham Prosthodontists Provider Name Locked
made it the best possible experience. Highly recommend them The service date is probably incorrect, but the recommendation stands.
- Gayle D.

They have their own lab and so they make their own teeth there. I would use again in future and I recommend them to people. It is affordable. I chose to go to them and not use my dental insurance. With dental insurance, I would have got 50% off if I had gone to some place else but with them, I only got 35% off but it was still more reasonable for me to just a bill to my insurance and get the 35% back than me to go to some place else and get 50% back- it would have cost me more than what they charge. Their availability is great- if I had a problem, I call them like I have a spot on my denture that might be rubbing me or something, you go in every so often and they re-align your dentures and set it and look at it. If I needed anything between that next appointment, then they would book me in and take care of me. The office environment is clean, new, new nice and very friendly. Very nice people.
- Charles B.

They are right down the street and everybody is so nice. It's a husband and wife team and they are so nice. The prices are good and they take my husbands insurance. The girls are great and both the doctors are straight forward. They don't do extra work because, we have insurance. They do what needs to be done in a timely fashion. The office girls are great. I deal more with her than him. I had a problem with fractured teeth and they got me in within a couple of hours and the treatment is really good. They do good work. They don't take advantage of me. Their billing is really good, I pay my co-pay and I don't see another bill. They have everything figured out before I walk in the door. There are no

I am a problem patient. I was in a new fatal accident, in 1994, causing the loss of everything from the left eye down to the throat, (thyroid) and across through the left ear. My mouth reconstruction left me with only 4 natural teeth with

on the other side of my mouth.. Everything else was gone. No sinus area, no jaw bone, top or bottom, just a bit of ear. In 2004, my surgeries and reconstrution were finally complete and my medical team told me any good doctor/dentist could keep me stable. Well, that may be true.....but finding those good ones are tough. My mouth is a lot to take in.
I have not had an easy time since 2004. I have found great doctors that have kept me going given my overall condition. But dentists, have been a big challenge. I have interviewed probably fifteen oner the years and last year finally found one I trust. Through her I also found a great gum doctor. But I still have serious issues with my jaw replacement and all the implants need care, as well.
Both my dentist and gum doctor recommended Prosto dentists and I visited them both. One planned to fund his retirement on replacing my 27 individual implants and jaw therapies , the other wanted to do things that would cause more pain than an rational person would agree to undergo without committing suicide . I live in a world of pain and compromise, but I need a better benefit than one guy's retirement and another's desire to make a reputation on my life. I went back to each of my dentists and expressed my concerns and was given 2 new prostos to try.

dropped into my life and WOW! He knows his stuff. No hesitation, no guessing, no lie.....he knew! He was, is the first that looked at my situation, asked good, no great questions, thought through my issues and with 5 visits, stabilized my mouth! And charged me less than I paid for that same situation in 2004. He did a replacement of a crown that is fantastic! He did a filling and it was painless! Yes, painless! Finally, he made me an occulssion guard (TMJ bite splint) and settled my jaw for the first time since the original one broke in 2006. **Five other dentists had tried to make one during that time period, but all just made it worse.***

has solid training, good listening skills, strong logic, and no desire to overcharge for his expertise. His pricing is within the scale of our area, on the lower end......the cost of my guard was less than I paid any of the other clowns pretending to know their stuff. I can't tell you how lucky I feel to have found him. I sent my husband to him, too. He needed a crown on a front tooth......my husband is a super chicken and hadn't been to a dentist in 4 yrs when he broke a front tooth. I knew just where to take him!
Without a doubt, I am a fan of Dr.

They are expanding, I had a six month appointment scheduled and now I can't get in until December. I can only make it on Saturdays and they are dropping one of their hygienist. They do have Saturday hours. I get a different dentist each time and they are good. They did a good job for the lower and now I'm getting uppers.
