Friday evening I found that my septic was backing up into my basement and called the
. I talked to an office worker who took all my information and then promised that the plumber would call me back "shortly". Anxious as I was, I specifically asked what shortly meant- would he call me back tonight? She did not promise that he would call me back that night, but said "He's usually really good about getting right back to people."
Two days (without use of my septic system) have gone by and I have not heard from them.

This review is a precursor to the work to be done. The technician came out and solved the immediate problem of the clogged main and gave an estimate on lining it. I have an old house, and although I was told when I purchased the property it had all new plumbing, it was only true for inside the house and not the main line. For the past three years I've had recurring tree root intrusion. I'm finally fed up enough with getting a plumber out to clear the main each time this happens. This company currently has a deal for lining up to 25 feet with 2 feet of digging for $1399. So, I took the plunge (no pun intended) and purchased the service to be rid of this problem once and for all I hope.

Through an Angie's list deal I hired
Fuquay Varina Sewer Services Provider Name Locked
of
Fuquay Varina Sewer Services Provider Name Locked
to do a sewer cleaning with a video inspection. Communication was excellent and he called 30min. prior to arrival to let me know he was coming. Since the video showed no problems, lucky me, instead of having to clear the line he used a root treatment. He was very informative and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him.

This is the best plumber in Chicago! Back story: we had our sewer line cleaned by a different company in December; we had sewer back-up in April and called that same company to come back out and re-root the line. We paid that company about $1000 for both visits. 2 weeks after that companies 2nd visit we had heavy rains and our sewer backed-up flooding our newly finished basement from wall to wall! I don't recommend Rocket Plumbing.
I do however, highly recommend

We called GAP with about 3 inches of sewer water in our basement.
Fuquay Varina Sewer Services Provider Name Locked
came out promptly. He assessed the situation thoroughly and solved the problem - tree roots!
Fuquay Varina Sewer Services Provider Name Locked
is a professional plumber. He explained what he had discovered in terms of the front yard & apron tree roots; he took a look at our catch basin just to make sure we wouldn't have problems down the line and he walked my husband through a maintenance program to help keep the roots growth down.
Excellent service. Very knowledgable. Assessed the situation and resolved the problem.

When two of my three toilets started backing up out of the blue and a plunger and line snake didn't make a difference, I knew we were looking at a bigger problem. I was referred to
Fuquay Varina Sewer Services Provider Name Locked
by the plumber friend of an employee of mine who doesn't normally do sewer line work.
I called
Fuquay Varina Sewer Services Provider Name Locked
of

in the morning and he was out to my house by the early afternoon. The original quoted fee was $225 to run a camera through and then hydrojet the sewer line, but the cost quickly shot up to $1,250 when it was apparent that 1) my sewer line had tree roots entering it at many pipe junction points and 2) the length of the sewer line was over 180 feet from my house to the street.
My wife had called a few other companies earlier in the day to get some idea of what it might cost to have this work done, but only one was willing to quote us a price ($180 for the first 80 feet, then $0.65 for each additional foot of hydrojetting; this did not include a camera analysis which some companies were advertising as being free but at the same time were not quoting a price for the work).
I was shocked by the $1,250 bid for the work but since this was an emergency I felt I didn't have much time or choice at that point so I went with it. The alternatives would have been to 1) just hydrojet the line (no guaranteed roots cut), which probably would have lasted me 6 months to a year of clog-free operation (but I really didn't want to be "on watch" the entire time thinking that the roots were still there and a backup could happen at any moment) or 2) have a plastic liner put in the pipe from the house to the street (which
Fuquay Varina Sewer Services Provider Name Locked
quoted me would cost $8,500).
5 hours later the work was complete and seeing how much was involved with it, I didn't feel as bad about the price (though I'm still stinging from writing the check; $250 an hour is a pretty high rate of pay). This is dirty, stinky, tiring, often frustrating work that even with my level of home improvement skill I felt was better left to the professionals. (Once I had a
Fuquay Varina Sewer Services Provider Name Locked
to breathe after this entire experience, I found that some companies offer the service for less - one was half the price! - but remember, you don't always get what you pay for, whether you're paying a higher price or a lower one. The true value of the job is in the workmanship and how well the company stands behind it.)
Aside from the high price, the only other thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the fact that so much of my water was used for the job (I estimate 500 gallons - 200 to run through the line to try to unstick the rooter which got hung up on something about 200 feet into the line, and 300 to refill their hydrojet tank, which I didn't think was very fair, especially given that I'm in the top-tier payment schedule for my water company).
At any rate, the work was done, the line cleared (as far as I know; I wasn't given a DVD of the cleared line like some companies give), my toilets flush, and I have a 1-year warranty that no clogs will occur due to tree roots. If I wasn't so under-the-gun with this emergency plumbing situation, I would have taken more time as I usually do and researched other companies more thoroughly - including
Fuquay Varina Sewer Services Provider Name Locked
for whom after the fact I found no reviews and no license info through the state (normally not a good sign in my book) - but sometimes you just have to make an on-the-spot decision and live with it, and that's what I did.
(NOTE:
Fuquay Varina Sewer Services Provider Name Locked
recommended adding RootX in 6 months to
Fuquay Varina Sewer Services Provider Name Locked
any roots that have since grown into the pipe and said that this should keep the line root-free for some time. For appx. $30 a jar, that's a BIG savings over having to re-hydrojet or re-line the sewer pipe...I just have to remember to do it!)

We were introduced to
Fuquay Varina Sewer Services Provider Name Locked
through our general contractor for a bathroom remodel. We were very impressed with the work. We needed a specific brand of fixtures and body sprays on one wall, and the on/turn off valve on the opposite wall of a 60" wide shower. We were pleased with the work as this plumber placed new copper pipes around and through 4 inch studs, and a 6 inch weight bearing studs without comprising the integrity of the wall.

They cleared two of my sewer lines, a 3 inch and a 6 inch main, and replaced a cap. They came perfectly on time, were freindly, outlined cost ahead of time, and charged exactly what they said they would. Will definitely use them again!

Contacted
Fuquay Varina Sewer Services Provider Name Locked
after another company came and attempted to fix my problem, but failed to do so. Called them Saturday morning about 930 and the tech was there by 1100. Pretty good response time (my issue was not an emergency). My downstairs toilet was bubbling when the upstairs toilet was flushed. The tech asked some questions and diagnosed the problem as a clogged main line. He then augured the main line, which was very blocked (been in the house 30 years and don't think it had ever been done). Took him a little over an hour total. He was very nice and made sure to not make a mess (these situations can be extremely messy). Considering what other plumbing companies charge, I thought this company was very reasonably priced for the amount of work. I will definitely be using these guys again when I have a plumbing issue.

I posted my service request on Sunday evening. I had a response back within an hour. Answered all my questions and scheduled my service call for the next morning. I had requested a text when they were 30 min away. They sent me a text, and showed up on time. They fixed the drain, checked to make sure it was reworking fine two times, and left....More /> Great experience! (
