"The service is OK but I will be cancelling the land line and using another provider. For the first time in years we were a few days late paying two months in a row." (My husband made the mistake of paying through the bank instead of on 's website.) All of a sudden, on a Sunday, none of our phones were working and we got a "suspended service" message asking for payment. Tried to call the store and customer service -- same message. I had to drive to a store to have one of my cell phones unlocked for emergency use. So no more "phones in one basket" for us. This is how they treat dependable customers who have paid consistently for years.

"I will be canceling my Century Link phone and use my Verizon Cell Phone for all calls, and I will go with or Brighthouse instead. I hope" that Century Link goes out of business, they are the worst phone and Internet company in County. Save you money and mind and avoid using Century Link, they literally STINK.

Phone Company reviews in Durham

We use and a lot of their things were bad but in the past a couple of months the dealings we had with them were significantly more satisfactory. This past week, it wasn't like you are on hold for half an hour and then they tell you we will call you back which has been in the past which makes me crazy, it wasn't like ...More that the last couple of times that I talked to them. The cost monthly is very high to me it is way too high. They were effective and reasonably efficient in dealing with the problem that I had. I have been using them for at least 15 years. If a friend or family member asked about them then I would say that they are expensive, very, very expensive. They were overall good. We have been using them for years.

I could upgrade the speed and stuff. Overall I grade them 'B'. They could lower their rate to get an 'A'. A lot of those channels I don't use and I like more variety but I watch the same channels all the time, they give about 300 channels or so and a lot of them are music. Apparently they have something where you can pick out ...More certain channels that you want but they add a fee to it and it is like $49 more. I would say 'give us more variety and that is it'. It is nice to see 300 channels but if you use only 10. They also give so many sports channels and I am not into sports, 'give me something else'. I guess everybody is expensive. They do have good customer service. They are pretty good, you start out with a robot but then you get a real person, like I had to call in for the TV the other day about a month ago because it get blanking out. I called the robot and then I got a real person.

They're alright. They're just expensive. I pay a lot. They are so expensive. My internet service is very slow. I don't have a choice. Where I am, there are a lot of trees so the service is that crazy.

It’s a basic cable TV, I have no HBO, I have nothing. They are not very responsive for senior citizens. You have to stay on line a long time but they take care of stuff. We have seasonal subscription and they renege on any discounts they offered before originally; which the other provider we use down south doesn’t do. That’s not fair. ...More I would get rid off them but I can’t. Their service is fine, it’s just that they are expensive.

The name says it all - . I am ex-Telephone (as is ). I have my Internet router in my wife's office in our new home. It was in mine in our old home. I work on PCs for our neighbors and could no longer plug an Ethernet cable into the PC I was working on unless I strung a cable on the floor between the ...More two offices. Not acceptable. What I wanted was to connect two existing telephone in both offices together with cat5 cable. This way I can plug an Ethernet cable from the router to the in my wifes office and plug a PC into the outlet in mine. I looked at the job - I could do it but it would have taken me several hours. I called for an estimate. His office said he could do the work today if I liked the estimate - I did. It was under $100 dollars, about an hour's work. For me to purchase the and wire retail would have probably cost me $40 - 50. I also mentioned I would like to have a wire fished from my door bell to the basement, so I could install a door bell down there. I have poor hearing and cannot hear the door bell if I am in the basement. All told was here for an hour and half and the total was $95 for both jobs - I would have been happy with that for the original! Neat, clean all the wires were fished without marring the walls,. The wires were professionally stapled to the the basement joists. A++ I would recommend and/or use his services if I need wiring done again

I don't particularly like them. They are fine and do what they are supposed to do, but I think they charge an outrageous amount of money. They charge $15 for each set-top box and $20 for the DVR every month. I think that is kind of outrageous. We have a bundle with our cell phones, internet, house phone and television and it is about $300 monthly.

My husband is very frustrated and I'm not happy but would have continued to assess over the 6m initially planned. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we'll stick with . We're going to have to talk to Comcast again and see what they can offer and if the price will be similar to what we had before.....move ...More back. I would love to support a local provider but the services aren't as good, and they cost more! n't like the " /switch" approach that Comcast is known for but in some ways we've got the same problem regarding cost w/more complicated capability and limited info.
We're going to comparative shop between the 2 services as I don't want to go thru assessing yet another new telecom provider.
- Rosann S.

They are very professional. They are respectful. They have great customer service. I think the people that help you when you call in are wonderful; I think they try hard. The three years I’ve been with them, twice when I’ve had to get new cable boxes, you everything you have programmed in on there. One time they were ...More supposed to be there in the morning, they didn't get there till 5 PM and they were here till 10 PM.
