Tested the air quality for mold and inspected all areas of the house for visible mold. Asked me about areas of concern.
Arrived on time, and provided a detailed email report within 48 hours - just like he said he would - much appreciated.
I had questions about the report and he responded promptly. It turns out it wasn't as bad as I thought - happy about that.
I would recommend Mold Detector to anybody looking for mold testing services.

Our experience with
was excellent, very professional and informative. He called back promptly. Before the appointment was made,
explained his services in detail - cost, testing procedures, potential outcomes of the inspection, and options if the inspection process came back positive for mold. I knew what to expect form his inspection and was able to explain this process in detail to my husband.
arrived the next day for the inspection and proceeded to explain his inspection process again. I was anxious and he answered all questions in a professional, detailed manner, and I understood his answers clearly. After his inspection, he again explained what the potential outcomes may be and how we would proceed if the outcome was positive for mold.
said he would have the results in two days. He would write a report. However, the results and report were completed the following day!
called and left a me a message to call him. He wanted to follow up with the report he sent. Thank you,
! We can proceed with our renovation with a peace of mind!

was quick to point out mold areas areas that a major competitor overlooked. His experience in recognizing mold sources and his approach in treating the mold is top notch.

worked with our difficult schedule and went out of his way to accommodate our needs. He and his crew were always polite and friendly. We were pleased with the service and the results.

This company came out as they were hired by my apartment complex to research large amounts of mold that were in my apartment ductwork. I had been sick for so long and discovered mold in the ductwork and on the paint. Their test revealed mold, but the air test, at that time, did not show elevated levels. I was not even told they were there to do the test, so I did not see what was done or where the sample was taken from. I had air cleaners going on all over my unit and they did not make adjustments for this. Additionally, further tests could have been done to determine the history of the mold. This would have given the complex a clearer and more accurate picture. Now I have lost 1.3 years of my life and have terrible health as a result of the massive amounts of mold. So, even though they found mold and gave a report to remediate, thorough tests were not done to give me an accurate picture. When I called, he yelled at me and I said I would call the board; he told me to go ahead. I found this to be unusual. He no longer does the testing, rather a young man he has hired. I asked him about my air cleaners, etc., and he only became enraged and asked me to "prove it." Really? I called a few other companies who told me other tests could have been performed, so I am upset with them and the complex. In a way, because I was not there, I could not even say for sure what they did in my absence. The young man seemed professional, but I believe he could have waited for me or offered further testing to explain my ill health. I was told by another company that you have to be very strategic in your approach. I do not believe there was any strategy. My complex paid for the testing, so I was not privy to anything, but the complex did give me some information. But, the test saying the air was not elevated allowed the complex to get away with this. When someone says they have been sick for so long, other tests should be offered, period. Hire someone who is the person actually doing the work, not some young assistant. There are many private companies, and I should have done my research.

Almost immediately after submitting my request via email (from the company's website), I received a lengthy response from
Denver Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
providing details and information on how it's actually not necessary to engage his business as this is something that can be handled myself. I think he went above and beyond to explain mold and mildew, different types of paints, etc. to me and really put my mind at ease and I greatly appreciate it.
I will be trying his solutions/suggestions on my own but will definitely use in him in the future should the need arise (hopefully not!) and I absolutely recommend his services to others.

came out to do a mold and water inspection for a leaking window issue we had after a recent rain storm. He was thorough and professional and ran three different tests. He went the extra mile to educate us on his opinion of the window leak issue. He confirmed no mold or water behind the wall so our services ended there.

Created Laundry Area in an unused closet on 2nd floor of
home.Required demoing existing cabinetry to widen the doorway, re-framing
the door opening, installing new door, in addition to Water, Electrical and
Ventilation. Did so without opening walls and ceiling and ripping out
newly installed beadboard in powder room below, something none of the
other bidders for the job said they could do. When the Plumbing sub
"disappeared" there was another qualified plumber on the job the next day. Work was completed on time in the agreed upon manner with a beautiful well functioning outcome , all according to Building Code and the work passed all inspections first time.
2) "Remodeled" basement bathroom. Actually demo'd most of the semi finished side of the basement including the three separate
freestanding fixtures floating in the semi-finished DIYstyle basement in a terribly inconvenient location and created an
amazing enclosed 3/4 bath in the area where the laundry had been including a neat and clean finished hallway and a separate furnace room.

offered multiple options for addressing our needs. They took the time to explain the pros and cons of each option. They worked tirelessly to find creative, cost effective work arounds so that the finished product was something they and we could be proud of. They also cleaned up much of the extraneous wiring, pipes etc. that the previous owners, ardent DIYers left behind. Again all the work was completed to code and though it was not completed exactly on time the majority of the delay was due to occasional lack of availability of the various building inspectors
don't want to distract from the point of this review, what a fabulous job

did but know that prior to engaging

we had several really unpleasant experiences with other contractors related to this same job who wanted to cut corners or were fuzzy about costs or expectations for finished products. If you have high expectations you will be very happy with

The air scrubber was brought in, but not left on as he told my mold

Denver Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
, who had found very high levels of mold in two walls and in the attic.
Denver Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
replied that it was just moldy air, so he never suited up and had my bathroom open in that room by the next day. They were several hours late due to another job in the area, he said. Later he told me I had to pay him $55 travel time plus $55 per hour EACH for both he and his helper despite the estimate saying it was just $55 per hour. As they were only there two hours the first day and three hours the second day (gone by 5 p.m. when I returned home), I objected to the $1,187.98 charge for just five hours of work, no hazardous waste removal, $160 for two days of scrubber use that was not used and using most of my own supplies--paint and paneling. He said I had to pay for fuel for his travel in addition to the hour non-existant "travel time" and that since I had agreed to the estimate, I had to pay all the charges in spite of just five hours as opposed to the 22 hours listed. His father is the president of the company and just as argumentative as the son. I had to hang up on both of them. I have a witness to that conversation with the son,
Denver Mold Remediators Provider Name Locked
, who had come out to my home and gave me such ridiculous reasons as to why he would not charge any less.
Since the wall looked so badly after I got home with them gone--bulged out the lower half due to foam sprayed in to stop outside air, and about 24 square feet of non-matching texture higher than the rest of the wall, a cracked outlet and brown goo coming out one corner, he returned to "fix" these things the next day. He used the entire large can of texture spray I had bought to cover 70 sq ft for heavy texture in that one 24 ft area and left it for me to paint since it had to dry. His father said he was surprised he tried to fix my wall at all; he definitely should have left it open and told me to hire my handyman which is what I had to do anyway. His father said they do not keep receipts for materials. Neither man was willing to reduce those over-inflated charges for work not done.

I hired this company to install a bathroom ventilation fan along with the duct work needed to vent it properly to the outside. Spoke with Nick on the phone. He explained that he charges by half-day and full day, and that this would be a half-day project for $285. We scheduled the work to be done on Tuesday at 9:30am. No one came out to look at the job before hand. Worker arrived on time, after going to the wrong house first. I saw him go across the street to the neighbors house before coming to my house. He took a look at the job, we talked about how to run the duct work from the bathroom ceiling into the crawlspace. I showed him to the crawlspace door and he went in to take a look. A minute or two later, he came out of the crawlspace and proceeded to gather his tools to begin the job. As he began work in the bathroom, I could hear a lot of noise directly behind the kitchen wall. A few minutes passed and he came up to go back out to his vehicle. I asked him about his plan to get from the bathroom to the crawlspace and if he was sure that he was headed in the right direction. He assured me that he was proceeding correctly. He went out to his vehicle, came back in and got back to work. Several minutes later, I'm hearing more noise, power tools, and the sound is directly behind my kitchen wall. A few moments later, I noticed my microwave was sliding off the kitchen counter. I ran to catch it before it fell to the floor, along with the ceramic and glass platters that were on top of it. That is when I saw the giant drill bit sticking out of my laminate countertop. The noise stopped, the worker came up and headed to the door, presumably to get something else from his vehicle. As I stood there holding my microwave in my arms, I called him over to take a look. When he saw what he had done he apologized and then went outside to call his boss, Nick. A few minutes later, he came back in and said he would replace my entire countertop and that it would have to come out of his own paycheck. He apologized some more. We discussed various options for repair vs replace and how to proceed with the bathroom project. By this time it was 11:15am and he said he was supposed to be on another job at 12 noon. He would have to come back later. We rescheduled for 9:30 the following morning. He said he wasn't scheduled for anything that day. He cleaned up and gathered his tools, covered the hole in the bathroom ceiling with plastic and tape and left.
I called Nick later in the afternoon and told him I wanted to make sure that we were all on the same page about the needs of this job and the qualifications of his employee. Again, lots of apologies, and he assured me that his worker was capable of finishing this job and that it was a routine project, something they do all the time. He also assured me that they would replace my countertop.
Next morning he called me at about 8:45 and said he got called out on an emergency and that he would be a bout 30 to 45 minutes late. At 11 o'clock he called and said he lost track of the time, that he still needed to get to the store and have lunch and that he could be here at 1 o'clock. I told him that wouldn't work for me, I have two kids to carpool in the afternoon. We'll have to re-schedule again. I suggested either 4pm or the next morning. He said he could be here at 4.
After my last interaction with the worker, I felt very uneasy about proceeding with this company. I called Nick and told him that I had lost all confidence that they were able to complete my project, that I did not feel comfortable having his worker in my home, and that I no longer wanted to work with his company. Again, lots of apologies. I am now hiring someone else for the job. I will also hire someone to repair or replace my countertop. I will be sending the bill for this expense to Nick.

of MoldGone came today. He checked out the water damage to the bedroom ceiing and a corner of a wall, then
went up in the attic. I stood on the ladder and watched as he inspected the area. I was relieved when he couldnt' find any mold. He also told me that usually the attic is the driest part of a house. Since he had told me that part of MoldGone's work is to take care of water damaged walls/ceilings, I asked him what he would charge to fix the ceiling/wall damage in the bedroom. He told me that he could give me an estimate but that it was such a small job, it would be more cost efficient for us to just ask a handyman to take care of it.
I was very impressed with his professionalism and honesty! If we ever do have a mold problem, we'll not hesitate to call MoldGone!
