"This project went well. I contacted
back in March about looking at siding repairs and new windows. He was in fact the first contractor to come out and look. His first comment was "This is not a full house reside". The siding team and paint crew worked hard. Site was left cleaned up every evening. We were a smaller job for them and when we signed the estimate were told we would start soon and within a few days they started siding. Siding work spanned a weekend and house was left in good shape to take some weather. Project was completed pretty much on time with a minimal punch list, and on target. The original work estimate was right on the money with a few additions, and even a subtraction for work that did not need to be done.
and
do a good job managing their teams. No one looking to pad the bill. I would be pleased to hire them again.

"Scope and Timing of Work:
1. We contracted for the work to be completed between May 2 and May 7. And although there was a slight delay (2 days) waiting for additional shoe molding, the project ran until May 15th and when he left was still incomplete and poorly done.
2. Let’s begin with what went well. He subcontracted the carpeting in the upstairs bedrooms and those guys were wonderful. They worked on the weekend, which was fine. They showed up on a Sunday morning, moved furniture, and laid carpet in 3 bedrooms and replaced furniture within 4 hours. They fixed squeaks in the subfloor before laying the carpet as well. They were a joy and if they were not with
and Remolding, I would recommend them to anyone. Perfect work and great customer service.
3. Now for the other. First the contractor estimated we would need 600 square feet of flooring. This is not my first rodeo and I’ve hired workmen for many years. I realize there has to be room for error and waste but this man under estimated everything he measured. He either grossly underestimated or wasted a lot of material. We had to buy yet half of that again to complete the job. So he actually underestimated for another half of the entire job. Unacceptable and very expensive mistake.
4. Secondly, he made all sorts of promises he wouldn’t and didn’t keep. He promised to pick up the flooring. He did not show up and would not answer calls. We had to pick it up. He promised to show up on days he never called and never showed up and when he did, he showed up alone without any help.
5. The reason he had no help is because his crew, the guys who know what they are doing, were off on another job before he completed mine and I was left with his shoddy workmanship. He was slow and worked in circles. There was no organization at all.
6. He never finished anything before he moved on to something else.
7. The powder room was left with the toilet unseated. In other words, he couldn’t figure out how to hook it back up so he left it just sitting there. The mirror was never put back in place. He tried to re-hang a shelf and could not even successfully do that, he left giant nail holes in the freshly painted walls. We had to fill the holes and repaint. He never re-hung the towel racks. He just left it.
8. Rented a pod to supposedly house my furniture in front of my house while the job was done. Pod was small and could only accommodate boxes. Which was a good thing I guess because it was not one that could sit in my driveway, it was one that had to be taken back to the storage facility and stored for a approximately 3 days. Note, this decision was made without discussing it with me and my husband. We had not seen or given permission for this. Had no idea what type of storage facility or whether it was clean or not. So it was a blessing it was too small I guess. However, the price wasn’t small. $300.00 for 4 days. What a rip off. For that matter could have just pushed furniture into one room and installed the flooring and then pushed it back. I went along with it because I was expecting a smooth transition. Not what I received.
9. On to the door frame. The front door was dragging across the floor and I asked him to refit the door. What he did was remove my element sweep and left a gap in my door so big you can see daylight. We now have to pay someone else to re-weatherize the door.
10. Moldings were left off and shoe moldings cut and installed in the most amateurish way I have ever seen. He wasted so much shoe molding until he ran out of it as well and he put my refrigerator back without even telling me there was no more shoe molding. I happened to pull it out to clean behind it while he was still there and found it. I found that to be totally dishonest, which is the worse.
11. In the living and dining rooms, the molding once again look as if a child had done the work and the big one, he actually put the flooring over one of my vents for heat and air conditioning. Just installed the flooring right over it.
12. On the stairwell where he sloppily stained the stairs, there was stain all over the walls, just slung over my paint and he left it that way. There were pieces of the original molding missing. His explanation…”I just
’t know where it.” The transitions in two doorways are hideous and the lip on the stairs have gaps that could result in a stairway accident.
13. This was an awful experience!!
14. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Please stay away from this vendor. I only wish I had joined Angie’s List prior to hiring Quality Paint and Remodeling. Now we have to pay someone else to come in and clean up his mess.
15. This was not just bad workmanship or lack of know-how. There was a bit of dishonesty there and a lack of caring for his customers. And that made me uncomfortable.
List of Items we have to have done after his job:
1. Replace ¾ of the shoe molding he put in
2. Reseat toilet
3. Re-hang mirror and towel bar
4. Weatherize front door
5. Cut out vent in wood flooring
6. Paint stairwell and hallway
7. Replace original molding in several places
8. Dispose of trash from remodel (he was contracted to do that)
9. We have already repainted the powder room

I have dealt with a number of handymen and companies, but this experience was the absolute worse ever!

Cary Siding Contractors Reviews

B
"Overall, we are very pleased with how our house looks.
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
does his best to be professional and provided a thorough, detailed job description and also follow up materials. The crews that worked on the house (siding and painting) all worked extremely hard and were very friendly and polite.
We got four estimates for this work and picked
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
because of their reviews, the completeness of the estimate and their competitive price.
Our only general complaint would be the lack of attention to detail and adequate supervision. We picked up buckets of nails and debris that were left in our yard and garden beds and my husband is still finding places (e.g. the side of a window frame) that weren't painted.
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
only visited once during the work cycle and the project supervisor seemed to come by infrequently.
The job ended up stretching out for an additional couple of weeks because the project manager and crew thought they didn't have enough siding. While additional product was on order, we waited with the trash dumpster in front of the house and siding still missing. After the extra siding was delivered, we discovered enough materials had been sitting the driveway under a tarp and some trim pieces all along! Not a huge deal, but frustrating.
A minor issue arose because the metal flashing which was pre-finished at the
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
factory just didn't match the siding. The painters were able to easily take a siding sample to the hardware store and match the color and then did just a few minor touch ups where the difference was noticeable. We were surprised to be charged extra for this work and when we questioned the charge,
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
- to his credit - promptly refunded the money.

"They were one of three estimates that I got. Their prices were right inline with the others that I received. I did not have the work done because it was not financially feasible at the time. When I do have the work done, I will call them back.

and team could not be more professional. We did a walk through to discuss the project and their experience helped us organize and plan the job. Each walk through was followed up with an email from them recapping our conversation about the project. Communication was consistently good. Action was prompt.
The site was prepared with a dumpster and needed materials. The team arrived on time and worked hard all day. Their attention to detail and craftsmen ship was outstanding. Our mountain

colored siding shows no nail holes, nor our arctic white trim. Everything that needs it is caulked, painted and wiped clean; shown at its best ( these guys take real pride in their work!)
No piece of siding was attached without a special

wrap before it. Our house looks better than new and we would definitely hire them again if needed!

"Overall excellent experience. We researched and comparison shopped for replacement roof, windows and siding...roof was shot and leaked, windows leaked and hardboard masonite siding needed replacing. After obtaining a number of quotes from several competitors and comparing qualifications, price, value, product quality, certifications etc., we chose
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
(THE).
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very quick to respond back as we narrowed down what we wanted.
Influencing factors: THE is General Contractor - we originally were going to go over 30K and a GC is necessary if you do...besides it offers other benefits even if the price is lower at no additional cost based on comparison estimates.
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
offered us a verbal commitment to making us happy with work - of course that is useless unless in writing - but even so, no other estimators told us that. The work did come with a warranty nonetheless. PRICE - price was very competitive, particularly on windows - two of which were custom. Roof was also competitive - siding was normal. ANGIES List REVIEWS - all reviews were good except one, which had to do with not running a tight ship - in our experience, the operation was managed very well - probably could have used a final nail magnet sweep after all work completed -found some after, but that is minor. CERTIFICATIONS - THE is certified Hardiplank installer and Certainteed Master.
ROOF - We chose Landmark Certainteed for roof - this product got better reviews than brands...Triangle was certified Master for this brand, THE provided one of the most competitive prices for this with added benefit of certification. Hand nailed shingles was a plus. Installed batting in attic to close off gable vents...very professional help for that.
WINDOWS - THE uses WeatherLok brand- we found not much difference on window manufacturers, just the level of window quality in each manufacturer. Since we had 25 double hung windows replaced plus 2 large custom windows (and sill rot!) we found the price and features to be an excellent value with THE - particularly because THE throws in lifetime glass breakage and "ultra" argon upgrade at same price - presumably based on relationship with vendor. Windows were installed without a hitch and timely -
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
(PM) called to schedule delivery and installation and was very professional - got the job done - supervised custom installation. Installer (
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
) was very qualified and did an excellent job - making sure we were happy when we asked to change inside molding a bit to match existing. Interior detail finish was done timely and high quality.
SIDING - Did one side only because of roof leak, but extra benefit of try before whole house done. We decided on pre-primed rather than baked in paint on hardiplank replacement. Very satisfied with that decision as well as finished product. Installed one side of house in one day - very fast and great work.
Specific tasks in contract/quote were not as specific as we would have liked, so we tightened up the language a bit. We plan on having the remainder of the house resided with hardiplank, gutters and soffits, and add a porch once this round is paid off.
We would definitely use Triangle again.

"A good experience. First, this was a bit of an emergency as when the dry rot was visible it was extensive, and I was fortunate that the kindly
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
folks helped me out by fitting me in between jobs. Very nice people, and all interactions felt transparent, honest; they were very responsive, remarkably so considering how busy they clearly are. Good quality work. Job took longer than estimated; I think original estimate was optimistic. I would definitely call
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
again if I needed this kind of service.

"We were very satisfied with everything from the get go. The cost estimate that was provided was considering all the work that had to be done. The quality of work performed was excellent. It was done thoroughly.
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
, who coordinated all the work, was very pleasant and professional. He explained the entire scope of the work very clearly and made sure on each day that the work had to be done that he came and discussed what was done and if were satiisfied. The two people who did all the work did a high quality job. The dormers that had to replaced looked very good after the work that was done and the paint chosen there as well as for the repairs on the side-garage door matched very well.
If I had a similar wood working type project, I would have no hesitation using
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
Exterior again.

"The entire experience was okay. I was surprised at how long it took to complete the job - 3 weeks. Part of the extra time was the town of
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
inspectors but,
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
did everything right to meet the town's code. When we had a complaint, they'd come out very quickly and take care of it."

"To say the completed project turned out well would be an understatement -- it looks fabulous
We have a contemporary style house which in our opinion required a somewhat unique treatment. After talking with and getting estimates from several contractors,
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
and
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
in particular was the only one able to give us what we wanted.
The siding had to be installed vertically and window/door trim had to be neat and uncluttered.....
1. any rotten siding [cedar] and trim was removed and replaced with filler.
2. window and door trim were fir-ed out
3.. insulation panels were installed over the entire house
4. Alside Charter Oak [gray] siding [solid soffit] was installed vertically
5. all facsia board, rake boards, door and window trim, gable vents were caped with Alside trim coil in midnight blue
6. sofit was covered with Alside solid and vented sofit
7. 5 mulit panel [3 and 4 panels per window] windows were installed
8. Centurion Stone was installed on around doors on front and rear walls from deck to roof line
9. back porch was rescreened, new door installed and painted
The entire job took about 2 weeks. The crew, with
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
as crew chief, showed up as expected every day. If they were going to be delayed
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
advised us beforehand. I could not have been more satisfied with their efficiency, work ethic, professionalism, and courtesy. I can say the same for both the stone masons and painters.
Any problems or issues that developed were explained to us by
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
and/or
Cary Siding Contractors Provider Name Locked
as the occured. The area was cleaned every evening before they left.
Of course some issues did develope, it's to be expected, in every case a resolution was proposed and put into action immediately.
Given the scope of the job and having received quotes for other contractors, we considered the cost of the job to be quite reasonable and seeing the final product has only confirmed that. The job was completed as per the bid.
