"I contacted
's to inquire about having our existing septic tank pumped out and to have risers added because the tank was way too deep" in the ground. Our pump was also not working properly, so I made arrangements to have them look at that as well. When I called to schedule the service, the woman on the phone was extremely courteous and wanted to be certain I understood the known costs up front. When I advised her they would need a mini-excavator or tractor to dug up the tank, she even put me on hold to check for the cost of that. They arrived as promised on 1/20/2015, had me sign a release, and began work. About 2 hours into the work, A gentleman named
came to the door and asked me to come around to see what we had going on. He spoke to me, and then I asked if he could also call my husband to explain, since there was no
of me ever getting all of the details correct. Basically, the pump that had originally been put on the tank was not large enough to support the unit. They made arrangements to return the following day to complete the repair and replace the pump. They arrived first thing in the morning and got straight to work. Upon completion, they came out to advise that we would need an electrician to come out and re-wire our waterproof electrical box because the new plugs would not fit properly. They replaced all of the dirt they had dug up and smoothed it the best they could. Despite several heavy trucks driving through my yard, they were very cautious to not do any major damage to the yard or landscaping. Considering the fact that it took 4 men about 6-7 hours to complete all of the work, I feel the price was fair.

I admit that this is an old issue, but the experience was very frustrating and the store handled the manner very unprofessionally. After I registered a complaint with the BBB, the matter was dropped and no more collection agency
calls were sent to me.
R.E.W. Music refused to accept a $70.00 payment for private trumpet lessons for my child on January 16, 2007. Payment on that date was 2 weeks late, but the lateness occurred because the store did not offer lessons the week of Christmas and it was closed on January 2 and January 12 which were scheduled lesson dates.
On January 16, 2007, a store manager, Mr.

, said that R.E.W. would no longer provide music lessons for my child because we did not authorize the store to draw automatic check withdrawals if the lesson fee was not paid by the first of each month or automatic credit card charges if the lesson fee was not paid by the first lesson of the month. This occurred after ½ hour after child had taken his first lesson for January 2007.

sent a letter dated the January 17, 2007, with a Lesson Invoice dated December 19, 2006, for the $70 amount they refused to accept on January 16, 2007.
During a subsequent telephone conversation with Mr.
Apex Equipment Rentals Provider Name Locked
, after we received his letter and the billing statement, he said that the store erred in taking the Enrollment Form without the automatic payments being authorized. Thus, the store should not have considered there to be a valid enrollment agreement. However:
1. The store accepted payments in the store and provided lessons during each of the months of September, October, November, and December without raising issue about the enrollment status, and
2. The store billed us for payment of the full lesson fee for January 2007 arguing that we violated the Enrollment Form
agreement when we did not provide 7-days written notice prior to the end of the previous month.
The store is unwilling to accept our offer to pay for the one music lesson actually provided on January 16, 2007. We mailed the store a check for $17.50 to pay for that lesson in an attempt to settle the account. That check had not been cashed as of February 21, 2007, when a collection agency called seeking payment of $101.48 to close this matter.
The amount being sought by the collection agency has not been explained. The amount sought as of February 21, 2007, is 145% of the $70 payment the store refused to accept. The caller from the collection agency mentioned a 25% penalty.
The store’s website states, “Convenient payment at the R.E.W. counter - cash, check, debit, credit, or auto-pay are all available!” (emphasis added) when the store’s practice is to require both automatic check withdrawals and automatic credit card charges even if the customer chooses to pay monthly at the store.
Details:
August 1, 2006, I filled out an enrollment form for private trumpet lessons for my child. I checked only the box for “Pay in Store (cash, check)” and I initialed the line that said, “I understand that tuition payments are due by the last day of each month.” I did not check the boxes for either “Auto pay (ACH)” or “Auto pay Credit/Debit card (add $2.00).” And, I did not initial either of the
following statements, “I authorize R.E.W. Music to bill monthly lesson payments via ACH (Attach Voided Check)” or “I authorize R.E.W. Music to bill my Credit/Debit Card (including a $3.00 convenience fee) if my ACH billing is declined for any reason or if I have not made payment by the 1st day of the month. (Required).” I did not provide a voided personal check or credit card
information to the store because I had concerns about providing such information to this small store especially since the overall requirements and

of the enrollment form seemed to favor the store over the service to the customer. I handed the form to the store

automatic payment charges had not been provided. I told the store

that we have reservations about this. The

mentioned something about a staff or manager’s meeting that was to be held in a few days and that she thought that the enrollment requirements were to be discussed then. Her comments gave me the impression that other families were also concerned about setting up automatic payments for music lessons and about the new enrollment process and requirements.

None of the store clerks taking the payments said anything about the nature of our enrollment for music lessons until we tried to pay the lesson fee in January 2007. One of the payments

never should have taken the incomplete enrollment form from us because the form did not fulfill all of the store’s requirements, and, thus, the store should not have considered us to be enrolled for music lessons.]

On November 28, 2006, we paid $70 for lessons in December. The store did not offer music lessons on December 26, which was consistent with a store policy of not teaching during “approximately two weeks at the end of December.” Normally, we would have paid for lessons in January 2007 at the last lesson of December which would have been December 26.
My son’s music teacher called on the afternoon of January 2, 2007, and told us that the store was still closed for the holiday break, so there would not be a lesson that afternoon.
January 9, 2007. My child had a school band commitment which conflicted with the normal lesson time on that Tuesday evening. By store policy, “Make up lessons will only be given according to the following guidelines: serious illness, store closing, death of a family member, required participation in a school sponsored music function, or pre-planned family vacation.” This schedule conflict was discussed with the music teacher in advance, and it was agreed that a make up
lesson would be held on Friday, January 12, 2007.
January 12, 2007, store closed early because of a snow storm, so the make up lesson was cancelled. Again, my son’s private lesson teacher called to deliver this message.
January 16, 2007, my son took a lesson at the regular time. The store did not cause that lesson to be cancelled even though we had not yet paid the January lesson fee. After the lesson was provided, I tried to pay for January lessons by check at the front counter of the store. I had waited since before son’s lesson that evening because the store clerks were busy with
other customers. The

told me that a voided check and credit card number must be provided before the payment could be made. I told the

that our family objected to providing a voided check and credit card number, and that we would not provide those to the store. I told the

January 17, 2007, a letter was sent from the store. Enclosed with the letter was a copy of the Enrollment Form dated August 1, 2006, and an invoice for $70 dated 12/19/06 for lesson 1/1/07.

said our family still has an account at the store. I asked why as we will not shop there since Mr.

claimed that the enrollment agreement was breached by us since we had not provided the voided check and the credit card number as agreed to by signing the enrollment form. I replied that the automatic check withdrawal and the credit card boxes were not checked as methods of payment we chose. I also commented that the authorization statement and the credit card authorization statement were not initialed on the form because we do not agree to those items. I said that it is hard to see how the store could claim that those were part of an agreement when those items were not endorsed by checking the boxes and by initialing the statement. I said that when I signed the enrollment form I felt that those items were specifically excluded and not part of any agreement because those two boxes were not checked and because those two authorization statements were not initialed. Mr.

said that the store had erred and never should have accepted the enrollment form since the enrollment did not meet all of the store’s requirements. I told him that that mistake by the store is an example of the reasons our family rejected the automatic check and credit card charge processes the store wanted.

They didn't train or anything. They just brought her to the river and dropped her in the water. They didn't even teach us how to use it. We went on our trip though the day and we had to call them to come and get us because the jet ski wasn't rideable anymore. They hadn't even put the plug in the jet ski and it was filled up with water. Then they charged her for it. They ended up having to pay quite a bit of money to replace that jet ski.
