On the initial call with Advanced, I was told I had to be at the house. I had to take off work to be at my home, and my physical presence was not required at all as there were other people at the house. The person on the phone mentioned the technician wanted me there to “make sure he got paid.” I let them know to have the technician bring change, and that I was going to get cash from the ATM to pay him (in $20s). In the end, the technician did not have change. I was not told I could pay by credit card (I went out of the way to get cash).
While at the property the technician spent most of his time sitting in the van. He only looked at the unit for about 5 minutes. The only physical thing he did was rip the duct tape off the filter, so there was nothing holding the filter in place at all. He left the
