Woodworking Reviews in Missoula

The job went very smoothly, and
is very personable, prompt and knows what he is doing. He called us back that very day we left a message on his machine. He showed up each time when he said he was going to show up. He did everything he said he would do and for a reasonable price. I would and will recommend him to friends and family.

had a competitive bid, slightly lower than the others we called. We started the remodel in late June/early
2010 with the goal of being completed by August. The first three weeks went well, but then walling took a while as we had wet weather. The plumbing also was poorly done and we had to call the plumber back about three times to correct errors, fix leaks, etc. A poor setup caused a water hammer that ripped the pipe out of the wall in the upstairs bathroom, for example, and ruined our kitchen faucet. Around the end of
it was like
disappeared. We saw the drywallers occasionally but heard nothing from
. Once the drywall was finally done we painted ASAP so we could finish up the trim etc. we painted over Labor Day weekend, but the trim wasn't finished until November, once we threatened to
. He must have gotten a better paying job elsewhere as far as we could tell. We kept trying to get a final inspection set up through him with the city to clear out the permits but he never returned our calls. We eventually called the city ourselves and got the inspection. Everything was done well but I don't think it was worth the hassle. I'd have gone with the more expensive guy if it would have saved us the frustration.

I was and am pleased with his work.
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
is a trusted and knowledgeable carpenter and works efficiently, confidently and skillfully.
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
would be the first person I would call to do any carpentry work for me and I would highly refer him to any one.

Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
did an excellent job. He was communicative from start to finish. He provided a detailed and ultimately accurate estimate on the cost of the work. The sub-contractors he hired did excellent work and were courteous and professional.
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was especially good about keeping the other areas of our house relatively clean during the remodel. The project took a week longer than
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
had estimated, but that was mostly a consequence of a shipment of tile getting broken while in route to Missoula. The overall quality of the work was excellent.
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
did all of the carpentry work, including the teardown, drywall installation, making new inset cabinetry and woodwork, etc. I very much liked having him--the owner and contractor--doing all this work, rather than a short-term employee hired for over the summer. He was meticulous and obviously took great pride in his work. I recommend him without reservation.

Working with
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
., on my 2nd floor remodel was truly a pleasure, and when I remodel my lower level basement, I wouldn’t want to work with anyone else. When I was looking for a builder to do a complete renovation on the second story of my older home (c. 1949),
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
., was very responsive about meeting to give me an estimate. For that reason alone, I give
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
., an A+ -- I found it challenging to get other builders to even look at my remodel job, much less give me an estimate as quickly and efficiently as
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
., did. Even before I signed a contract,
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
offered to deliver sheets of plywood since the floor had been removed to remediate vermiculite. I had been maneuvering around upstairs on only the floor joists for months as I tried to plan and prepare for remodeling this space. They carried the plywood upstairs and spread it out as a makeshift floor, at no charge, to allow me to move around easier – WOW!
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was willing to work with me as I struggled to reuse and adapt secondhand building materials in my remodel. For example, he identified old shelving I had salvaged from the demolition as mahogany that he would eventually sand and restain as the window and door trim. He helped me think through the tile design for the bath/shower stall, and he made suggestions about incorporating details into the final design of many aspect of the renovation. At his suggestion, we installed a built-in daybed in a small

area under the window. It is now a favorite sleeping area – we love it!
I could tell from the start that
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
., was going to be a good fit for my remodel.
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and his staff are very professional. They are competent and intelligent and they get the job done without a lot of drama. Having been through remodels and home construction before, I knew I wanted to hire someone who was punctual, knowledgeable, accessible, and able to get the job done correctly. One of the best qualities about
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
., is that their high quality work is done on time and on budget, and they do it with a smile. They are honest, easy going and genuinely nice people, and when I asked for changes they made corrections and accommodations in a respectful and thoughtful manner. Whenever
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
ran into problems or tricky situations during construction, he didn’t give up or put the problem back on my shoulders - he stuck with it and persisted until he found a solution. Remodeling has the potential to create a lot of frustration and anxiety, and
Missoula Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and his crew are a refreshing alternative to make it feel like a breeze – I would go so far as to even say fun!
