"I received a very thorough cleaning and hygiene treatment, as well as x-rays. I especially liked the fact that they are network providers for my former employer's" dental insurance and Tricare Delta. They replaced a molar, as well as repaired a front filling. Outstanding treatment and service. I have an upcoming visit within a month.

I am familiar witht he ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers across the country, in particluar, the one in Overland Park, KS.  They are a "one stop" implant center.  The doctors there are at the top of their field, and an advantage is that you have all of the specialists that will be working with you in the same place.  That would have to make communication easier between doctors.  They usually offer seminars for patients and I think, offer free consultations, which is always worthwhile.

If you chose to go the other way, some Prosthodontists will place and restore the implants themselves. In other cases, an Oral Surgeon or Periodontist will place the implant and a Prosthodontist or General Dentist restores it.   Fees can vary quite a bit from office to office and with the different options for restorative materials.  Some offer free consultations, for others, they charge a fee that might be applied to any future treatment in some cases.

The first step is to schedule a few consultations with different providers, which it sounds like you've already done.

The most important factors when deciding which practitioner to work with:
:
.1.  You should feel comfortable asking your doctor any questions so that you have a good understanding of the procedure itself, healing time and long-terem outcome, and possible complications.  Write down a list of questions and take them with you to the consultation.

2.  Ask about the experience of the practitioner. How many similiar procedures have they completed?  Have they had any major complications with any cases?  Ask to see photos if possible.

3..Figure out if it works out better for your schedule, to go to a "one stop" provider or to separate providers for the placement and the restoration of the implants.

4. Follow your instincts.  If you feel rushed, didn't get direct answers to your questions, didn't communicate well or had any other negative feelings, this probably isn't the doctor for you.

5. Consider insurance coverage and financing options.  If your dental plan covers implants and it is important to you to use a preferred provider, you will want to check your list.  Many times, insurance does not cover implants, or at least not all of the steps.  You may want to inquire about payment and financing options.

I hope this at least helps you feel a little less confused and a little more directed. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of further help.
Sincerely,

As a  Dentist, I am sorry to hear about your denture nightmare and I know how frustrating that can be.  I am surprised that your doctor wasn't willing to work with you on some type of solution.  A few options would be either remaking the dentures once more,  or offering to return some of the money and have you return the dentures.   Unfortunately, the doctor has put in a lot of their time and lab expenses, but the patient also  has time and money invested.  You might try sending a letter re-explaining the problems you hand and offering an acceptible and fair solution.  Be sure to keep a copy of it and any correspondence you receive from the Dental Office.  In the event that you don't get anywhere, you have documentation of the problem.

At any point in the process, did they have you sign something saying you were happy with the denture set up?  Some practitioners will document the patient's acceptance at the try-in appointment, before the denture is processed.  At that time, changes in tooth arrangement, size and color can be made with minimal lab expense.

If the letter doesn't get you anywhere, you might try going to the governing body of the dental profession in your area.  I am a dentist in Blue Springs, Missouri, USA.  Here, we have the Missouri Dental Board  (or the Dental Division of the Missouri Department of Professional Registration.)  This is the entity that licenses us to perform our professional duties in our state.  They often have a process to file complaints against a provider if you were unable to resolve the problem yourself.   After your complaint is received, they will contact the doctor to get their side of the story, then try to mediate a solution between the two parties.

As far as a new set of dentures, you might seek out the services of a Prosthodontist (specializes in dentures and removable appliances - extra training and certification beyond general dentistry) or go to a local dental school.  The students are supervised and checked off at each step by professionals.  Most dental schools also treat patients through their faculty practices, and you can often get the services of a specialist at a lower price.

I hope this information is helpful to your situation, and I wish you well.

I have been going there for over a year now and had numerous things done and feel very comfortable with Dr.

I went in for a routine cleaning and was seen promptly by the hygienist, who did a great job. I had to wait a bit for the dentist. The reason for my lower rating is that both of the last two times I have visited, I got the impression that the practice is more concerned with generating revenue than with my oral health. I went ahead with the fluoride treatment, laser bacterial reduction and oral cancer inspection (although I have no risk factors), but I balked at getting eight fillings replaced with new fillings or a crown, even though none are causing any apparent problem. Last time I let them talk me into a crown. This time, I am not so sure. The full visit, including waiting for them to come up with "a treatment plan" for $4,000 worth of work took an hour and forty minutes. If all you want is a cleaning, I would recommend them. And I have no reason to question the work that they actually did. But if you similarly get recommendations for work that seems excessive, I would be cautious.

I initially visited

to address some issues I was having with some fillings done by another dentist. They fixed all the issues I was having and I have been going here ever since. They are great. The hygienists are great and the office is very nice.

Friendly service, helpful advice about their services without any high-pressure sales. You can get Saturday appointments as long as you schedule well in advance. They understand if you're running a little late as long as you call in about it. I always get numbing gel on my
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
to avoid my sensitive teeth being in pain during a cleaning, which they note in my file as my preference. Overall they are great people and value your choosing them over another provider.

Dr.
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
is a passably good dentist. However the patient/dentist relationship goes beyond just walking away with a nice "smile" as the motto of
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
says. It is a relation that entails a close association with another person - a professional who gets to know you and your family. So character comes into it, and involves choosing the sort of people we would like to be associated with and who will get to know us personally.
Dr.
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
uses the funds that you pay him to finance his big game hunting. Not ordinary hunting for more abundant game that he can provide for the dinner table, as many sport hunters do. Dr.
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
hunts near extinct species for "trophies". He is obcessed with record setting in the number of such animals he can
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
. He has killed the rarest of species - rhinos, big horn sheep, elk, and of course
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
. He kills in a particularly torturous fashion, using only bow and arrow on very large animals - which involves days of suffering for the poor beast at times. He is guilty of crime in the hunting he has done. For example he has been fined for lying about shooting bear by US Wildlife authorities. He is now wanted by Zimbabwe for illegal hunting.
So if you are considering using Dr. Palmers dental services I would ask you to consider his character. If you don't approve of this sort of person there are plenty of other good dentists around in Minnesota.

I have had bad experiences with a dental office before. The staff in dr.
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
's office did not know this but made me feel welcome and I became less anxious.
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
cleaned my teeth and she was gentle. I had no discomfort at all. Dr .Buzzatto did a thorough exam and repaired my tooth. The procedure was done quickly and with no discomfort. The office is small and I really liked tthat feeling of being a person and not just the next in line. I will be returning for future ppointments. I am very pleased with the positive experience I had with everyone in this office..

Iv known Dr
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
for well north of 30 years, but decided recently to start using his services. I have been to many dentist over the years and unfortunately Dr
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
is by far the worst.
His skill level is basic. -- He struggles with finding the correct tooth color (his nurse argued with him many times, and sure enough when it came, she was right. The color was waaay off), and mixing the filler for a root canal fill (it fell out days later),
He doesn't listen to patient requests. -- Politely asked if I could get non-amalgam fillings and he took it waay to personal. He had an attitude after that.
Takes out hostilities on patients -- He wanted to put a gap in the front of my mouth (Iv never had one in my life mind you, he wanted to make one!), after expressing that I did not want to do that, he demanded that I do it. Once again his nurse had to step in and remind him that if the patient doesn't want a different look to their smile that he should comply. He said he liked the look of a gap. His nurse had to remind him that it wasn't his smile. By this time another nurse in training came in and agreed that a gap would not be best. He angrily agreed to not do it, and then when numbing me he slammed the needle into the roof of my mouth as hard as he could! I literally screamed and began crying. Never has a Dr done that to me before. I brought my husband for the follow up appointment, and Dr
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
acted super professional, like I have never seen him do before.
Billing is crooked -- There is no other way to phrase that. In fact I will go so far as to say they are swindling the insurance companies. I was billed one amount and what they would turn in to my insurance company was MUCH higher. It blew through all of my insurance. They also lied so many times about my billing that I had to secretly record them on my iphone. Sure enough when they lied the next time, I told them I had taken "written notes in my phone" and pretended to look at them. Then told them the amount they quoted me. The "office manager" then agreed to "lower it to that amount" but she insisted that "thats not what I told you". She was very nasty to deal with. There was always billing discrepancies.
Makes an average situation worse -- I had a passable smile before Dr
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
. After he butchered (yes! butchered) my mouth I now have an embarrassing smile. He literally cut into my
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
and left a scar (in my gum!). Hammered (yes with a giant hammer!) a tooth-post in wrong and now the tooth is crooked (wasn't before) and has a giant space next to it than can only be repaired with orthodontia.
Not up front with patients -- I needed extensive work. Dr
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
gave me the impression he could do it all. We discussed what needed to be done and I told him the ones that were my top priorities. We seemed to be on the same page. --He did non of what I asked or needed. When I could see I had maybe one more appointment before he was done, I politely asked about all the other stuff. He never answered and shrugged my question off. I learned later from a friend who works in a dental office, that I would've needed a specialist for what I was requesting, and that my dentist knew full well he couldn't do it, and should have never lied to me saying he could. She further said that he should have printed out a 'dental plan' that would detail all the work to be done and the cost (he never printed out any kind of plan or cost analysis).
OVERALL: For basic cleanings and
Livingston Dentists Provider Name Locked
drill and fills (not root canals though). I would say he can cover it. But anything beyond that will not be within his ability level. I hate to say that, because Iv know him since I was a child, and I now have grandchildren. But there are far better dentists out there. Proof positive: I went to get three 2nd opinions on something he said I should let him do, and ALL 3 dentists said that he shouldn't do it! I have now pulled me and my family from his practice.
