"I had pulmonary diseases and ended up diagnosed with sleep apnea so he treated me. I had pneumonia. He is the one who referred me to get a work up with Bailer University" for transplant. That’s how I ended up seeing the other doctor. I was in a bad situation and ended up checking his name. The office is excellent.

"Dr.
was very personable, listened to all my concerns, thorough in assessments (ordered CT of the lungs and pulmonary function tests) and gave excellent advice.

He goes beyond the call of duty. He calls my other doctors for me and spends about an hour checking up on me. He is prompt and doesn’t rush me in the appointment. He explains everything to me well and gives me print outs to take home. He asks me a lot of questions, which I really like. He will ask if I have any questions.

I never want to go to a doctor that will put a patient at risk like that without even re-evaluating the case. I don't know of it's his ego, or lack of knowledge, but I will not recommend Dr.

I think the most important thing is, because of the heart issues, my hands and around my mouth are going blue because I'm not getting enough oxygen and it's a pulmonary problem and he sat down and looked me straight in the eye and with real gentleness, explained what was going on and what he was going to do to fix it and not to be afraid. It's scary for an older woman that lives alone to have blue fingers. He was just so compassionate and understanding and gave me all the time in the world, and gave me reassurance that they were going to find out what was wrong and they were going to fix it. I just really liked that attention that he gave to my problem. The office staff was great. They were on time on the appointments. They called with the reminder. It's good experience that you can have when you got blue fingers and blue around your mouth.

I'm a CPAP patient, and had several appointments with this MD to get prescriptions for sleep study, machine, supplies, etc. Now I've changed insurance plans and the new plan requires a copy of the prescription. Even though the MD agrees that there's no way my condition would have changed by this time, he refuses to send the prescription to the new insurance company unless I come in for an appointment. Since he acknowledges that there is no medical reason for this, his only reason is to bill me and my insurance company for an unnecessary appointment. This is not just a waste of my time and money but unethical. Go to somebody else if you need a CPAP.

Wonderful experience. He pays close attention and I feel open to discuss anything with him. He even gives me good references for other doctors. I would highly recommend him to others.

Exam seemed to be going ok and then he did something that took me totally by surprise. I had not discussed or given consent for procedure he did. Very upsetting. I will never ever see him again because I have a total lack of trust in him. I feel he showed a lack of respect l to me and caused me unnecessary stress.

I called the doctor's office on a Monday at 4:45pm, and got the message that the office is open 9am - 5pm and to leave a message. I guess the office staff went home early that day. So I left a message. Nobody called the next day, so on Tuesday, I called about 4pm. Got the same voice message. So I left another message, but nobody called me back. On Wednesday, I called around 9:15am. The phone was answered by a woman who couldn't have sounded more annoyed to be there, and just said "Doctor's office, please hold." She put me on hold, and left me there for 6 minutes. I hung up. I called back around 10:30am. A different,

woman answered the phone, and said she'd fetch the doctor's nurse for me. I waited on hold for 5 minutes or so, then the grumpy woman from my earlier call came back on the line to schedule me for an appointment -- the first availability is 5 weeks away. Obviously, I haven't seen the doctor (not sure I will if I can find someone else to visit sooner), so I have nothing to report in terms of his abilities. But his office staff leaves MUCH to be desired.

Overcharged and misdiagnosed twice! - In late 2013 I had a chronic, choking cough. I was referred to ABQ health partners pulmonary clinic. The nurse practitioner - VAn
Alberton Pulmonologists Provider Name Locked
- reasked all the questions that I had answered on the questionaire about my condition, gave me a bunch of scripts for allergies and told me to try them all and see if anything worked, had an "educator" teach me how to use an inhaler (I've used inhalers longer than she's been alive). None of this helped. Then I was referred to an ABQ Health part. ENT Doc, he said I was going through "the change" and needed Premarin! Really! After months of doing everything (except premarin) I went to a non-ABQ health partner urgent care, and was diagosed with walking pneumonia and treated successfully with 6 weeks of antibiotics. I spent over $500.00 in medical charges and prescriptions, and more in lost work and time over nearly a year. I will NEVER go back to any branch of this practice and hope you don't either - for the sake of your financial AND physical health
