"I couldn't ask for anything better.
came almost immediately after I contacted them. They assessed what need to be replaced in the" most cost effective manner. In a few weeks after the glass arrived they installed it and the folks who came were pleasant and kind. I was not here but my parents were and actually enjoyed their company while their repaired my patio glass. So I have no complaints...everything went per plan at a good price. Good job guys!

"I was very impressed with
for a number of reasons. I called about ten glass providers to secure rough estimates for two glass panels and" a glass door for our shower. I was very surprised at the price variation--estimates ranged from about $2,000 to over $3,500 for glass that encompassed the same dimensions. This was truly an apples-to-apples comparison.
was one of the two lowest prices but was at the high end of professionalism and specificity. They answered all my questions, were very knowledgeable about installation details, and worked with me on timing.
took very careful measurements prior to ordering and answered all my questions patiently (I ask a lot of questions). When the glass arrived installation went very smoothly and we are beyond happy with the results.
went out of his way to answer some questions about window installation. The entire process with
could not have gone better and I would happily use them again or recommend them.

From what I can see in a picture of the item, there does not appear to be anything special about the glass. unless it has an Ikea emplem on it or special etching or something, any normal window glass replacement company like Speedy Glass or such should be able to cut and install replacement glass - probably about $100-300 depending on whether a pane or entire door-sized panel of glass, depending on which style you have.
?
Just about every sliding door I have installed is put in in sections. If it is a brand name you may be able to purchase a replacement panel from a lumber yard or call a glass company to replace just the glass. I have seen some windows and doors that have a "welded" plastic frame that is next to impossible to replace just the glass. I hate to give estimated costs on labor or material since they very by manufacturer and regional prices but I would think you are in the $250-350 range in labor plus cost of glass or panel.
?

Could be held on with concealed mirror fasteners (usually a clip or notched "button" design, with very litle showing outside the mirror, or none showing if has trim around it, or with large dabs or swipes of mirror adhesive or liquid nails. The former leaves minimal damage when removed - no more than a heavy duty picture hanger, the latter leaves divots in drywall, as you surmised, and holes in the drywall if a piece of plywood is not used as a prypoint when prying it off.

If you want to try to save the mirrors, then a glass and mirror installer is needed - they can remove them from the hangers, or cut the adhesive with wire saw - though that will add probably 2-3 hours labor per room. Then you would need a painter who also does minor drywall repairs.

If not saving the mirrors, then I suspect you could get a Handyman to pop them off, repair the divots, and repaint. Otherwise, a Painter would probably be glad to do it and repair the damage and repaint - just be prepared for a hefty charge for duct tape - like $100-200, because that is the best way to do this - duct tape the surface completely, pry the mirrors off (commonly breaking them), then cut through the tape to make pieces of glass manageable and of a size to fit in garbage can or box for hauling out. Be sure to emphasize PLYWOOD protection for floors, overlain by canvas or plastic, when removing the mirrors - drop a good sized piece and you have significant flooring damage.

Here is a prior response for a similar situation, including the same suggestions about removal, but also a bunch of ideas of how to leave the mirrors and cover or integrate them - which can be a LOT cheaper than paying a two-man crew for a day to remove mirrors, depending on solution you choose.

 http://answers.angieslist.com/Need-rid-wall-mirrors--q67621.aspx

this is probably a quarter to full days job to remove depending on how fastened and if saving or not, so about $200-800 range. Drywall repair and painting probably about another $150-250 range, so ballpark numbers - pushing $300-400 if mirrors come off easy (bracketed) or can be scrapped, more like a thousand $ if saving mirrors.

Your Search the List category is Glass and Mirrors - the Speedy Glass type company that does home and auto glass replacement.

If the glass is held in with window putty (a doughy tan or white putty) or by a wood trim piece all around it pinching it in place, then you can probably fix it yourself for about $15 piece of glass at a glass replacement place or somehome improvement/lumberyards.

If the glass is multiple-pane, or encased in a metal frame, then not easy to do yourself, though in some situations with single-pane you could remove the glass mounting frame entirely, use larger glass, and install with window putty. Double or triple pane you need then to fabricate a new "glazing unit" for you - the glass layers all enclosed in the metal encasing unit.If you are going to pay for that, might as well have them put it in too.

I had a two recommendations for this company so I was going to give them the job, I just needed a quote and we could move forward. I stopped by the store to make an appointment and the service in person at the store seemed great lots of advice and helpful information. But, they could not make an appointment then and there, I was to leave my information and they would call me to schedule. After a week I called them and asked if anyone was going to call me and they said, yes, they would call me to schedule an appointment, they weren't sure why no one had called yet.
I found out that they do *NOT* schedule an appointment when you call. They will call you back the day before they want to come and tell you they will show up the following day at XX time. If you are not available on that date and time, then they will call you back the following week to do the same thing.
So, they called the afternoon before they wanted to come to give me a quote. I had a conflict the following day and couldn't make it. The first time this happened I asked to be given 48 hours notice so I could schedule to get off of work. It wasn't possible for me to give 8 hours notice to my supervisor. I found they dropped me off their call list when I asked for this. So, after a few weeks I called back and asked why no one had called. She said she'd put me back on the list. Again, I did not get a return call. So, after another few weeks, I called back again on a Monday where I knew I had a lot of openings in my schedule and gave them a list of days/times that I could be available that week. I expected they would call back that day and schedule up one of those times.
But, no, they went silent on me again. So, I continued to plan my week. I didn't hear from them until 4 pm Wednesday saying they were coming Thursday at 8:30 am. They left a message that they would be there in the morning. By then, I had already made an appointment for the morning so I called at 5 pm and told them this. The next morning they called that they were on their way. Sigh. When I said I had already scheduled another appointment for that same time because I hadn't heard anything from them, they said that I had told them I was available. Yes, on Monday those were all my free times. Please pick one and schedule an appointment with me. If it is Wednesday afternoon, I am going to schedule another appointment for Thursday thinking that they had forgotten about me again.
Once again, I dropped off their list. I called back one more time to get back in the queue and never heard from them again. After two months of trying to schedule an appointment, it was obvious that there were significant problems with this company. If it was this difficult to get a quote, imagine if there are problems with the installation.
Yes, I have a very busy schedule. Yes, I have a lot of other appointments. But, I do not understand why they believed I was able to keep my entire schedule open for them to come at *their* earliest convenience. And, I'm not sure why I had to keep calling back. I'm pretty sure I am the customer. But, I did everything I could to help them with their scheduling problem. I just have a job and a remodel going forward so I couldn't drop everything and wait for them. I needed some notice.
Honestly, initially I was going to give them the job as I had a recommendation from a friend. They had no competition. The only reason I was so persistent in calling them again and again is that I *wanted* to use them, badly. I just needed an estimate to see if their price was in the ballpark and I would have signed the contract on the spot. If they simply would have just scheduled an appointment with me like a regular business they would have $25k in their pocket right now. In the end, it all worked out as I went with a better company - one that has excellent quality AND excellent customer service - and one who does have my $25k in their pocket right now. Their competitors actually met me after work and additionally on the weekend to get my business. It only took their competitor two days to come and give me a quote. Their competitor definitely deserved my business,

did not.

I had a brass-framed shower enclosure that I wanted to replace with a chrome surround. I had a tile company remove the old shower and re-grout the tile. So when the estimator from
Southaven Glass Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
came to measure, there was no shower surround. The estimator came on time, measured and left. I received a written estimate promptly. I accepted the quote as written and the installers came and did the installation. I allowed two days after the installation, before using the shower. Immediately, it leaked. I called the company and arranged for someone to repair the problem, as soon as was convenient for the company and for me. They were very pleasant. They arrived at the arranged time and corrected the problem in short order. One of the panels had apparently been installed incorrectly. Since then, it appears to not be leaking.
My major disappointment with this installation it that the new surround was not installed in the same position as the old surround. The bad results of this are 1) The holes in the tile from the previous installation are not covered by the new installation. This is unsightly and there is no way to correct it now (since we have another set of holes in the tile that the installers drilled for the new installation). 2) The panels are not flush with the shower

They called 3 times to reschedule appointment, and at the end the guy never showed up!! I waited on two prior arrangements. Very unprofessional! Do not use them! Can't even keep appointment, how does one expect any reliable work being done by the guy!

Their website has an incorrect address for one of their locations, which had me going in circles , first red flag warning. When I finally found the correct address, the owner left for the day, second red flag warning this .The following week, I brought the original pie ce in and the owner said he would be able to make a duplicate. However, when I got home, the piece was too thick for the table.
I understand that mistakes happen, but when a business refuses to talk with a customer about a service, they are clearly ripping people off.

From the first call through completion, this company provided excellent service. They picked up my door frame and took it to their shop in North Hills. It would have been ready in a week, but I got delayed so they delivered and re-installed it today, a week later. It's beautiful.

, the owner, is very knowledgeable, professional and personable. His assistant was as well. The cost was about half what the original company that installed it quoted, but they didn't have this style of door anymore, so to their credit, they advised me to obtain the glass replacement from a local company, and even tried to find one for me! Back in June and
Southaven Glass Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
of this year, I had
Southaven Glass Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
custom build and install a shower glass enclosure and a new privacy picture window in our master bathroom and we are more than thrilled with their quality of work, in both craftsmanship and installation. All of the staff we were in contact with, from the receptionists to the measurers to the installers (and even
Southaven Glass Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
himself at one time), were courteous and friendly and knew their stuff. Only minor complaint I have is that they can be a little slow moving when providing quotes and also during the build of the order but, really, I think I can chalk that up to how busy this company is. It speaks to how in demand their services are!
