"Ever since they've moved into their new office with Franciscan, their service hasn't been as good. One time I came in for an appointment, and after I hadn't" been seen for 45 minutes after my appointment time, I finally had to leave to go to work. This time, I called to see if I could get in to see if my ear could get looked at, but I was told they were all booked up that day (a Friday, understandable and fine), but that I also wouldn't be able to be seen for the entire following week, either! I expect a bit more from a family care physician. They're nice folks, particularly Dr. and his wife, but the office needs better administration. Nick

"He's a good listener, and kind, gentle and knowledgeable. He was very helpful with refilling prescriptions and answering any questions we had. We look forward" to having him as our primary care manager for a long time. The office staff was very nice, too.

Family Doctor reviews in Moss Point

Dr. was thorough, and very engaging. She really develops a relationship with her patients, whether a six-year-old child (as in this particular visit) or with aging adults such as myself. I feel very blessed to have Dr. , and every one of the excellent folks at , to care for our ...More family.

- Marsha G.

Very impressed with , very nice professional office and great staff. If I ever have a medical issue again, will head back, thank you.

Walked in and it was clean, neat and very friendly so I thought oh I'm going to like this place until the doctor walked in!!! She accused me of moving to this state for the legalized marijuana!!! Never in my life have I been so dang insulted! How dare she! She knew nothing about me it was my first time meeting her and she didn't like the medical ...More records I brought with me and refused to fill any of my medications! Which I need for my Raynauds Phenomenon! I was so upset with the way she treated me that I walked out of the office. Just because that stuff is here in this state doesn't mean every person here uses it and I'm extremely appalled by her assumptions. She was rude and I don't recommend anyone going there and being treated that way. Also she falsified medical papers she handed me. Very poor practice and needs to go back to school for bedside manner classes.
- lauren A.

Excellent! Dr. has amazing bed side manner...he listens intently, looking at me, not at his paperwork or laptop. He is one of the best primary care managers I have had. His office staff is friendly and everything is completely quickly. I highly recommend Dr. at the .

In the end, my complaint goes beyond the ethics of charging for work not performed. Rather, it centers on transparency and full disclosure. This doctor had every opportunity to disclose that he intended to classify this portion of the visit as a separate billable non-preventive diagnostic visit. Which would change my billing obligation and result in ...More higher out of pocket expenses to me. Yet he chose to hide his billing intent until a month after the visit when his bill arrived in the mail. Leaving me with the arduous task of getting the erroneous charge removed. Which never happened by the way!
- Ron H.

Dr. is wonderful. She takes a lot of time to listen and to talk about health issues. I am very pleased with her. However, the office staff is not friendly. The office is located in an old building, which is cool in a way. It has a separate waiting rooms for adults and children, which is nice. It seems that the office staff run ...More the office and make rules that are convenient for them. I do not enjoy calling to make appointments, checking in, my time in the waiting room, or checking out, but I certainly endure all of that to be treated by these great physicians.
- Clay H.

The staff did not follow through on the dr.'s instructions to set up testing with an outside provider. When I emailed concerns, an unidentified staff member responded with an answer, that the dr. later disagreed with. The dr. apparently wrote a prescription for me, but no one bothered to tell me. I was instructed by staff to return for a follow ...More up appointment due to concerns over my health. When I got there, Dr asked me why I was there, and sent me home... with an office visit charge. When test results came back, Dr put a note in my file for someone to call me to come in the discuss my need for oxygen, but no one called me. I think Dr might be alright, but the staff dropped the ball repeatedly. When I received the bill, I was surprised at the charge, since I had made an appointment for preventative services. When I included a note about that with my payment, the billing staff submitted a changed coding statement to my insurance company, saying they had done a preventative visit instead of regular office visit. So my insurance then paid them the increased fee as if they had done a full exam (when they had not), but did not return my original payment. When I called the billing staff, I was told he would have to check into it and get back to me. I never heard back from him. I chose not to return due to the repeated ineptness of the staff.
- Heather L.

I called to schedule an annual thyroid check and the receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional. After 10 minutes on hold, she answered abruptly, and I let her know I needed to schedule an appointment. "For what?" she barked. I hesitated then relayed the need for annual blood work and thyroid visit, and asked which should be scheduled ...More first (the lab or visit). She proceeded to lecture me that she couldn't tell me what the physician might discuss with me during an appointment or about my condition. I acknowledged it sounded like I would need a physician apt first then asked if I could schedule a first available with Bill as I'm almost out of my prescription. She continued verbally berating me about appointments, said 'no' she couldn't help and I'd need to speak to a manager. I requested to be transferred and was greeted by Sandy. Sandy was pleasant and promptly scheduled my appointment. I relayed my patient experience to Sandy and she affirmed she would speak to the person who answered the phone. Recently their best, and our preferred, physician Dr. left the practice - and about 10 years ago a fantastic P.A., Bolt, also left.

I've been a patient at this practice for more than 20 years, referring my husband after we married (who last week also had a bad scheduling experience) and neighbors. Over the years, we've watched the service and clientele decline. We will not be using this provider again. We will be using Angie's List to find a new one for us.
