arrived on time with samples for us to look at and choose. Picked two different colors in the same family but with different techniques." Mr.
provided a quote for both colors. He would clean the doors twice and sand and either paint or stain. Does not do the inside of the cabinets with the colors we chose. Still trying to decide which method to go with since the stain was cheaper than the painting.

Not really.  If the contractor is very careful and you are really lucky he might be able to pull them out and then reinstall them after the new cabinets are installed.  A lot of this will have to do with how well the counters were installed in the first place.  Also, the existing countertops may not line up with the new cabinets exactly in some areas as well as they do now.  The better option is to have the cabinets refaced, leaving the boxes and tops in place.  Unlless you have deteriorating particle board cabinets you should be able to get a carpenter to do this.  If you decide to remove the countertops and install new cabinets factor in new tops and be pleasantly surprised if they can be reinstalled afterall.  Realize you probably won't find a contractor willing to gurantee not damaging the tops.  If you do, dig in and research him well.  He likely doesn't have enough experience.

IF dirty enough to make for a musty odor, then paint won't stick to them properly anyway. Paint is not your solution - you probably need a Deep Cleaning. Try to pin down what types of smell it is - if damp, mildewy; rotten food; or musty fabric - will help guide you to the source maybe. Another thing to do is keep all doors closed for a full day when outside temp is such that furnace and A/C can be turned off - then walk around the house, sniffing - preferably with 2 people - and see if one room is the major contributor. I have played this game, and found all the following as sources of musty smells: 1) linen in a closet without ventilation going slightly mildewy 2) water leak in walls or floors enough to cause mold but not drywall staining or visible water 3) carpets needing cleaning 4) water leak in bath or kitchen leaking under floor, causing mold there which is not pronounced in smell because under the flooring 5) attic mildew/mold from leaks or moisture condensation on insulation/wood 6) moldy plants outside - left in garden/flower bed in fall, so rotted in winter/spring 7) clothes in closets touching outside wall, so in very cold weather acted as insulator and let freezing front come to inside of wall, causing frost and moisture to buildup there from the inside moisture, eventually causing mildew/mold (same process as condensation/ice on inside of windows with curtains over them) 8) failure to clean behind kitchen appliances and under sink, or under washer/dryer/dishwasher at least when repaired or changed out 9) heavy lint accumulation in bathroom fan going mildewy 10) grease trap in kitchen exhaust fan never cleaned 11) washing machine going moldy - run a cycle of towels or such with bleach and Borax 12) the number one cause I have found - clothes stacked in closets or hope chests or such for decades get very musty even if clean and ventilated

As long as the counter is big enough Corian is one of the easier ones to work with. Since it does not have the ground or crushed stone that some of the other material have you can work with normal woodworking tools. A saw with a fine tooth carbide blade and a professional grade router with the proper shaped carbde bit can be used if the edge needs finishing. A belt sander helps on cuts also. The only problem you might have is if you need the joint kits for seaming as I dont think you can buy them.

When Corian first came out I could buy the slabs and fabricate my own tops and then Dupont went to a certified distributor system and would no longer sell to those of us that had been working with it for years. I will admit that they did have reasons for this as not all that were working with the product were doing it right.

Cabinet Refacing reviews in Monticello

They were on time for our appointment, however, they estimated it would cost $3000.00 and I only have three cabinets w/uppers and lower cabinets. I felt this estimate was extremely high. I have decided to cancel the deal and look elsewhere for someone else to do this service for me. He was very professional and timely, I just didn't expect such a high estimate.

We met
Monticello Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
by pure luck. I told my husband he had to be an angel. We thought it would be a easy and fun project to redo our kitchen. We had seen so many television shows which made it look very easy. We had even you-tubed some
Monticello Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
techniques. It wasn't as easy as it looked once we got started. It was like 2 left foot people trying to

. We had been working on this project for like a month when we were in the local Home Depot going back and forth with the a service person over items we had pre-ordered which turned out to be completely wrong for the space. Everything from size to design, (ALL BAD Ideas) My husband looked at me and said I give up! We seem to be spending more money correcting or mistake than anything. Mr.

was standing near us & said he couldn't help over hearing us in all the frustrating back and forth with the services person. He asked if there was something he could possibly help with to make decision making easier. We thought he worked Home Depot and told him sure if he had the name and number to a good remodel contractor who was fair and honest. It was then that he handed us his business card and pointed to his business name on his

shirt. Long story short he came by the next day and complimented our efforts without telling us what a mess we had made. Then he assured us his team could have it fixed in a matter of days. We had already spent so much money and was terrified of how much he would charge to fix all our issues but he kept his word and in my opinion he felt so sorry for us and did not charge us what I felt he should have. His company had a full plate that week yet they managed to fit us in. We had regained full access to our kitchen By Friday of the week we met him. I cant believe how fast they corrected everything and got the materials needed to transform the space. He even suggested and installed special lighting over the island and under cabinets. We truly bumped into and angel who we will continue to use and suggest to others. I still believe he felt sorry for us and gave us a break on the pricing but we will never forget his humble spirit & caring demeanor. Wish more people operated in this manner. Thanks Mr

We wanted to update our kitchen but did not want to do a complete renovation.

were very helpful in selecting new doors and drawers and were very detailed in explaining exactly how a reface works. They were punctual every day and worked steadily to get the job done. Due to weather conditions the job took a couple of days longer than planned but they cleaned up so the kitchen was totally useable every evening during the process. We had another estimate that was $2000 dollars cheaper but we like the way

I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to renovate their kitchen.

I was very impressed at the speed in which the job was completed. I have used other contractors in different offices and they'd taken days to complete task.

was very friendly, knowledgeable and the estimated quotes for services were very reasonable. We requested individual bids on a few more jobs we want to move forward on and received those bids in less than 48hrs electronically. Since our encounter with this company, we have referred several of our other business contacts as well as our Church. It's always a plus when you can find superior services.

He and his assistant (his wife) were just delightful people to have in the house working. We always felt very comfortable leaving the door open when we knew he would be arriving and we were not home. There were a few minor "glitches" but

always resolved them.
When I decided on having this "transformation" done, I considered using Home Depot. I called them to set up an appt. and must have rec'd 5 calls from Georgia (their headquarters) about the appointment. I knew then that I would be subjected to some high pressure sales pitch so I cancelled the appt.
That is when I joined Angie's List and called

Affordable did a very nice job. They had to coordinate with mirror installers at wet bar, and that was a little bit of a challenge.

is clearly their specialty, and that was very reasonable. On the cabinet work, the pricing was about on par with competitors. However, overall quality is very good.

and his team were great. He was personable, timely, and patient. He always returned phone calls, and maintained schedules. Since this my first time doing a cabinet/pantry modification, I was nervous and apprehensive. This was a great experience. Initially, I wanted pullout shelving in my pantry and pullout drawers in my lower cabinets (I was tired of lying on the floor get pots and pans). I say initially, because
Monticello Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
came out and gave me a quote. He came with a portfolio of his work, which was wonderful, because I was able to visualize what he thought would work for me. His ideas were better than what I thought I wanted. What he could do would give me much more space than I originally had. He told me that he would be able to give me a timeline once we signed the contract. A week or so later, I called him and said I wanted to make a couple of changes, and believe it or not, he showed no signs of frustration. I told him what I wanted over the phone, and he was able to visualize, what I wanted. I forgot to mention that I spoke with a contractor prior to
Monticello Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
, and was told that one portion of my project could not be done.
Monticello Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
was able to do it PERFECTLY. This was to add a door to a dead space on my bathroom cabinets. I have not been able to access this space without having to take everything out of the cabinet for 7 years. Now all I have to do is open a door on the end of the cabinet and everything I need is right there. He matched the stain perfectly. He also added platforms to the tops of my upper cabinets so that dust won't collect in that area. My pantry is the best, but I love it all. As for price; since this was my 1st experience, I would say it was expensive, but after speaking with friends who have had cabinet modifications and remodels, his pricing is right on point. I would most definitely use
Monticello Cabinet Refacers Provider Name Locked
again. As a matter of fact, I have my next project in mind.

did an OUTSTANDING job. Probably the best contractor we have worked with for any work we have had done. The kitchen looks new and he certainly exceeded our expectations.
