Business Description: Schuber Mitchell Homes was founded in 2011 after the devastating Tornado in Joplin Missouri. Joplin area residents, Dan Mitchell (President of Bridge Ministries) and Daman Schuber (Vice President of American Ramp Company) immediately went to work throughout the city on recovery and recognized the urgent need to provide homes for people that are well built, competitively priced with a builder from our city. Dan and Daman contacted Rick Betenbough of Betenbough Homes to inquire about bringing Betenbough Homes to Joplin to help build needed housing. Betenbough Ministries has been supporting Christian outreach organizations in Joplin since 1999, including The Bridge Youth Center where Rick Betenbough serves as a Trustee. When Rick and Ron Betenbough visited Joplin they determined along with Dan and Daman through prayer that it would be important to build homes here and to make sure that the dollars generated through the effort STAY IN JOPLIN. Therefore, with the backing of Betenbough Homes, a new company was established called Schuber Mitchell Homes, led by Daman Schuber and Dan Mitchell. The connection between the companies provides the experience of more than 3,500 homes built by Betenbough Homes in Texas communities, combined with the experience and passion for Joplin of two of its sons. Ranked among the Top 100 Builders in the nation by Builder magazine and gaining momentum year after year, Betenbough Homes is an employee-owned, faith-based home builder passionate about people and committed to providing locals with an unparalleled home buying experience and more home for less money. On November 1, 2010, Betenbough Homes became the first home builder in Texas to commit to certifying 100 percent of homes as green through the NAHB Research Center’s National Green Building Certification Program. Schuber Mitchell Homes will be built on the same principles of faith in Christ and valuing others above ourselves through a “world class” homebuilding experience at below market prices. Believe it.
