I had a short-lead-time request for my furniture-only move.
was my coordinator and he did a good job at the start. He was able to get me a quote within a day (based on very specific details I emailed to him) and agree on a date that was only 6-8 days in the future.
Keep in mind that I moved cross-country a year ago and knew how to prep myself so that they could get in, get the job done, and get out. That said, assigned to me were

. Good guys. Professional. Worked VERY well together. No breaks, worked the whole time.
Although I work from home I needed to minimize vacation time off for moving. I made the guys aware of this when they arrived and they loaded up the desk (3 pieces and heavy) into the truck last. As desired, they moved my desk up to the new place first and put it exactly where I wanted. I was able to work while they finished everything up. I found nothing scratched or broken (although they made me aware of several things that were broken as they were packing things up). They actually spent less time than the estimate noted.
The issue I had however is that my desk has a hutch on it with shelves. The shelves use brass 'pins' to hold them in place. Unfortunately the pins disappeared. No problem, I will get replacements at Home Depot. I did that but the pins are too big. No problem, I'm sure the big hardware stores have them available online. No.... the pins evidently are a very special size. I let
know about the issue and asked him to confirm where the guys put the pins (they were in a ziplock bag for sure). The guys said they were in a drawer but I did not find them. I asked for a solution. After several days of no response I emailed
and recommended that either they purchase what I needed online (I gave him a URL of what I needed) and have them shipped to me or pretend to order them (including shipping) and send me a check for that amount and I will order them online. No reponse after 4 days. At this point I'm annoyed that the company has yet to 'make me whole'. It's not a big deal, about $10 in materials plus shipping. It's as if once they have your $ there is no customer service.

We used
for our move a year ago and were very happy with it from the sales person,
, to the actual movers. So, we decided to use them once again. It was great as far as the salesperson, but after that it went downhill. We were moving a 4 bedroom house and a 24 foot truck. The 24 foot truck was not only totally inadequate lengthwise, but it also was inadequate height wise. It was clearly not a truck you usually use for a decent size move. That was not fair to send any moving crew - experienced or not - with an inadequate truck! The moving crew was slow and very inexperienced. A lot of breaks were being taken - and we were being charged HOURLY! We had the same stuff we had last year MINUS the boxes and some heavy furniture we sold in the past year. It took this crew DOUBLE the time to do the move. This is with my husband finally jumping in for the last three hours and moving right along with the crew. Professional moving is an art. If I had wanted to hire some college kids with no experience, I would have done that...but I would not have paid as much. The day was LONG and exhausting. I had to help carry items, my mom had to help, my daughter had to help. If we didn't help, they would have been at our new house until late at night! As it was, there was not enough room in the 24 foot truck to fit everything, so we still had to go back the next day with my van and my husband's pickup to get the rest - RIDICULOUS! The crew "leader" did not lead at all which was a real problem considering he had a crew of newbies. The one guy said he had just been hired the week before. The guys at some points were just wandering around not knowing what to do next. My husband finally took over giving directions in the last 3 hours too. There was one guy my husband moved items with over the three hours who seemed like he was a harder worker than the others. The crew leader also tried to tell me we were being billed by weight and not hourly...I had to call the office to get this straightened out. On top of all the issues of the day...they left some of our furniture in blatantly wrong rooms, still wrapped up (ironically in THEIR moving blankets), some not assembled, some not assembled correctly, etc. At least we only had two more minor furniture damages. Basically, we paid for an incomplete move in which WE had to physically help for a very significant amount of time. The office was aware of what was going on. I was told that something would be done "on the backend" for our bill. Nothing was done. My credit card was charged. I never received a receipt. I never received a follow up phone call or apology. I emailed
, our salesperson, to tell her all the details of what happened. At least she was professional enough to apologize. She said she was sending the info to the owner, but that was at least a week ago and we haven't heard anything. So, I am assuming no one at
really cares about customer service. We are very disappointed. Something has definitely gone downhill since our move last year. I gave a C because of our experience last year and because the salesperson was very professional both times.

We were recommended Road Runner by a work colleague. From the beginning, the company was very responsive. They returned emails and calls promptly and made it seem like we were getting a great deal on the moving services.
Trouble began a few days before our move. I received a call from Road Runner saying that they had overbooked their trucks and we would either have to reschedule our move date or find a different company. As anyone who works full time and has moved into a new house knows, this process is extremely time consuming and strictly scheduled. After arguing with the company, they were able to fit us in on our originally scheduled date.
The actual move went fairly smoothly. The movers were on time and friendly, although slow. We had an apartment and a garage that needed to be loaded. Despite the fact that we told them this a number of times, they did not inspect both spaces before beginning to load the truck. This resulted in them having to repack and rearrange the truck a number of times, to the point where we had to add extra time to our bill. The movers also did not listen to where boxes were meant to go. If we did not tell them specifically where each item needed to be placed, they simply stacked everything in the basement.
We recently began unpacking and realized that the movers had broken a piece off our entertainment center. Rather than telling us about the damage, the movers seemed to have opted to hide the broken piece in a drawer in the unit and hope we didn’t find it until it was too late.
Overall, while the company was friendly and the movers professional, the services you get for what you pay are simply not worth it.

Overall the service was good. I expected the movers to bring some equipment, but it was all done by hand. A large book case and a large desk were moved from the main floor to the basement. My only complaint is that I specifically asked the guys if they had any issues. They said no. After they left I noticed a

When they arrived the crew introduced themselves and toured to items to be moved asking for any particulars before proceeding straight to loading the truck. He concluded that it would fit only after removing the room door and the hutch was slid on a moving pad through the door opening before reassembling it to the base inside the room. There was less that 3/4 inch of clearance but the doorway was never touched or marred. The crew completed the work in just over 30 minutes more than projected but they never wasted a moment. Their work was professional and done without excuse or complaint. We will happily ask for

Great movers. Originally was scheduled for a 7:30-9:00 AM move. They called the day before to confirm the appointment, and let me know that they were a crew down, and it would probably be closer to 11 AM before they got to me. This wasn't a problem

I knew about the problem the day before.
The day of the move they called around 8:30 stating that the first move wasn't ready for them, and wanted to see if I was ready at this time. I let them know I was. About 30 minutes later I got another phone call saying that they went back to the first residence because the owner was now ready. All in all, they arrived at my location at 11:10 like they had confirmed the day before.
They immediately got to work. They transported all the boxes on hand dollies, and wrapped everything they could. I went with the three man crew. It was $20 more, but I figured it would take less time and save me money in the long run. I am glad I went this route. They had one guy in the truck to stack boxes, while the other two were constantly bringing stuff down. When the guy in the truck was caught up, he would come upstairs and help move stuff down to the truck.
I was really impressed with their professionalism. The entire time they were all about the task at hand. They also would chat while loading boxes. They wanted to know about us.
What impressed me so much about these guys is their endurance! I never once saw them take a break. They would immediately load, take it to the truck, unload, and come right back up for another load. There wasn't any downtime or time that they were trying to milk the clock for.
Once at the new place they unloaded all boxes and asked which room to place the items into if they weren't clearly labeled.
At the end of the move I paid by debit card, and included a $50 tip for their hard work and effectiveness! It took them only 3.5 hours for our load, transport, and unload. I would have no trouble asking these guys to come move me again!!

Horrible! They damaged a lot of furniture. They broke my

(they dropped it in the truck and laughed about it). They bounced the furniture down the stairs, claiming the way it was wrapped, it would be protected from scratches and dents, which it was not. Me and my wife had to sleep on the floor for four nights because they could not get the box spring up the stairs. I could not cook a meal for the family from June 19th to

When I asked the movers about the damages to the furniture, they claimed they were not responsible and would not answer how to address the problem. 8th. That is not one week. The person they sent to do the repairs continued to say time and time again that the scratches and dents on the furniture were old and not done by the movers. My wall unit is brand new and I polished it just before the move to make sure there were no dents or scratches. There were none but there were numerous after the move. There was also a lot of damage to a bookcase that they ruined with glue when they tried to fix it. The person they sent to fix it got me so aggravated with his incessant claims of of non responsibility, I had to throw him out. My suggestion is that anybody who wants to use this mover has to be out of their mind!!!

It end up taking 8 weeks due to it being shipped over the December holiday. While
