"This is the 4th or 5th time we have used ATS for either maintenance or repairs. This was our third repair. We used them the first time because our home warranty recommended them and have continued to use them since our warranty expired. During maintenance, they found a faulty part that was causing our heater to have to work harder and kick on more.
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
explained the pros/cons for either waiting for the part to completely stop working, or repairing now. We chose to repair now. I really like that they always send out the same guy if possible. I have had
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
for all but one maintenance time and have been incredibly satisfied.

"Working with
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was a very different experience than we previously had with other Air Conditioning contractors we've used in the past.
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was willing to walk through the house sit down, explain our options and actually show us some improvements needed to make whatever system we chose to operate at it's absolute best. When he ran the numbers he also found the system we had been using before wasn't even the right size for our house. These are things none of the other contractors had even bothered to look at much less tell us we would be able to change.
He was NOT the cheapest but he was THE ONLY one that had our best interest in mind. All that said I would highly recommend
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to anyone looking for the same experience... he is "our guy" when it comes to Heat and AIr. You really should consider making him yours as well.

"The first visit went very well. The workers were professional, appeared to know what they were doing, tested the new device (which worked well) and cleaned up their mess before leaving. The second visit, however, was unsatisfactory. It was a sales pitch. The brand of equipment offered was of less quality than recommended by Consumer's Report. I was asked about the square footage of my home (about 2400 square feet on one level, no basement) and that was it. After this visit, and visits with three other local firms, I decided to have a complete system installed by another firm whose representative measured the square footage of my home, the square footage of all my windows (because of heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer), inspected my attic for insulation and crawled around my crawl space to see the condition of my ducting. I joined him while inspecting the ducting. Unlike all the other firms, he found (and showed me) literally dozens of large gaps in the joints between ducting sections where significant amounts of conditioned air were being blown into my crawl space. Wasted dollars day after day, month after month, etc.

"Initial estimate was $2,000 higher than estimate from another firm for comparable units, however these folks seemed nice and they agreed to come down to a matching price. They also added a warranty so that they were more than competitive. Seemed fair enough.
Installation on 8/20/13 went well and was professionally handled. They did leave AC piping above ground across a walkway but stated that it could not be otherwise installed. Unfortunately,
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
(the manufacturer) does include a diagram and instruction for underground placement of the line. Well, I did not argue the point since the walkway is not heavily used.
Our City has a utility rebate program that was $350 for an AC, and $400 for a furnace. In order to be eligible units must be of appropriate efficiency and size.
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
could not guarantee units would be eligible since City funding is variable -- however I did order units that met rebate specifications in terms of efficiency. The problem began when I failed to receive the rebate paperwork from
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to forward on to the city. I called their office. They said they had mailed it but that it must have been lost. They mailed another copy -- but when I received it and looked it over it was incomplete. I drove to their office and picked up the next applications in order to be sure that they were fully completed. I mailed them to the city. Weeks went by. I finally called the city. Their representative stated that the AC rebate had been approved, but that the furnace rebate depended upon further communication from
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. They said that they had left numerous messages but the company had never called back. Two days later they called and stated that they were not going to approve the rebate because the company was non-responsive. I urged CU to allow me time to contact the company and expedite the company's response. They agreed to wait through the next Monday. I called
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and one of the owners said that the office would telephone me on Monday morning. No call came. I finally called them Monday afternoon. They said that they got in touch with CU and the problem was that the load calculation needed to be done again because they had used the wrong numbers for square footage (about 20% too low) as the result of a "typo". They came out and measured and said that they would resubmit. In the meantime I talked with CU and they stated that the furnace appeared to be too large for the house.
In conclusion:
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
telephoned today and said that the rebate would not be approved because the City felt that the unit was over sized.
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
assured me that I would have been disappointed with a smaller unit, and that the unit is appropriate for the house "in his professional judgment". So, City Utilities says "it's too big for house".
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
says, "No, it isn't". Who do you believe? I would believe
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
if not for the original bid and the incredible inefficiency of their office as indicated by failures to telephone when promised and inability to correctly complete a rebate form. Oh, I read that one of the indicators of an over sized furnace is a unit that cycles off and on very quickly. Yes. It certainly seems to me that this one does.

"Worked us in and coordinated with another contractor's schedule. They were on time, professional, worked hard, were cooperative, and they were thorough.

"The techs wear booties on their feet while they're inside; explain everything a customer needs to know about the equipment, make suggestions for energy efficiency; ask if I have any questions or concerns. The techs I've had are professional and clean-cut; I don't hesitate to let them in my house, even when I'm here alone. After the work is done, they ask if I have questions or other concerns.

"The entire project went great, they made sure everything was done right. The re-ductwork, returns, and vent additions were completed towards the end of the summer/beginning of fall. I could immediately notice how extra vents and returns evened out the house. The return in the hallway went from loud and rattly to whisper quiet. They also replaced the main intake return
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
- which had inches of dust in it!
During the install they notice the A-coil was leaking, cost was covered by a home warranty. The AC was also covered by warranty in May, ATS did the service on all of it. The last piece of the pie was the furnace - which is the last thing I had done. The new furnace looks and works great thus far.
These folks go the extra mile and make sure things are done correctly, and at an amazing price. I think they spent at least a weeks worth of the time for the projects entirety. They do great work and I highly recommend them for your next HVAC project.
The care factor is really there with ATS.

"I have used ATS twice this year for service. I have used other companies over the years but the service and technician
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
were excellent. I have recommended ATS to friends who have used the service as well and they have been very pleased.

"Last December I came home to a freezing cold house because my furnace had quit working. I was referred to
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and Air by a family member.
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was able to visit my house the next day. I felt comfortable letting him into my home. He was very professional, and fixed the problem at what I considered a fair price. I also appreciate that he explained the cause of the furnace failure and the repair so I could understand. I recommend
Springfield HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and Air highly.

"We woke up to a hot house on a Sunday morning. We referred to Angie's List and seen the good reviews for this company. I called them to find out if they charged an extra fee to come out on weekends---which they didn't (on emergencies). Their technician called us about an hour out to let us know when he would be here. He checked the system over; explained in detail what was wrong; then fixed the problem in a very timely matter. He also offered us a service agreement, which in the long run saved us money. This was our first experience with them....we're very happy with the service...and definitely plan to use them again!
