Generally considered the highest quality choice for home exteriors, brick and stone are also almost maintenance free and will last as long as the house, though some repairs may be needed from time to time.

Masonry reviews in Rolla

Mr. Hill came to the house and looked at the job to be done. He explained in detail what he would do to correct the problem. He was very knowledgeable and gave examples of how he would proceed. I contacted three other masonry companies and decide to use Mr.
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
because of the experience he had and the price seemed reasonable among all the estimates I received.
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
called before the job began, to check, if it was convenient to start the work. Mr.
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his men were prompt and very courteous. Mr. Hill and the men took extra time to get the color of the mortar as close as possible to the old mortar, which was 22 years old. They were careful to do each area and repaired some bricks, too. The clean-up was very good. I would recommend
them to others, who have mortar projects or repairs to be done and will use them again, if needed.

K contacted
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
with a request for masonry services in the near future.
The company responded quickly that it could not accommodate because of a full schedule.
I replied to the company that I would then like to schedule at their convenience, with no rush.
I have not received a reply from the company to my last contact.

I was in the
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
for some chimney repair and had been shopping pretty hard, I was also looking to get my roof done since the chimney repair was going to damage a lot of my roof being rebuilt. I had planned to do the gutters myself, but was asking each contractor for a quote just so I'd have it.

I received lots of quote, and
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
came in about 30% higher than some of the others but he was also the only "full service" contractor I had spoken to. Everyone else either did roofs or chimneys, not both. I asked
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
why he was so much more expensive because I like to give contractors a
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
to explain their pricing, justify it, and make sure I'm comparing to bids "apples to apples" so to speak.

After listening to
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
explain why his bid was higher and actually going and looking at job's he did as well as jobs some of the other contractors did, I quickly saw that the extra money was for the quality of service
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
provided. A few examples include: soldering of all flashing joints for a permanent solution versus caulking which can wear out and needs maintained; a different type of crown on the chimney (called a
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
crown); forming flashings in such a way that water runs into gutters and not down chimney face; installing a ridge behind the chimney to prevent water buildup behind it, and many other small details.

When I asked other contractors about these types of things, they all agreed that they are good things and said they could do them (for more money). What bothered me about this was that they didn't ever mention these items themselves. It was as if they would prefer to just "get the job" and didn't care whether it was done the best it could be or not.
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
, on the other hand, didn't want to the job if he wasn't doing it the best.

In the end I went with
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
. Both his roofing and chimney crew were very professional and courteous. They brought dump trucks with them each day to the house and loaded their debris so that I didn't have an ugly dumpster sitting at my home all week. Everything was done with care and I honestly never found a single roofing nail on the ground after they left.

His roofing crew did leave a little bit of material and scrap at my house when they were done, but as soon as I mentioned it to
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
he brought his crew back out to retrieve them and apologized for the oversight.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the jobs
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
completed for me and would definitely recommend him.

We initially had a slight misunderstanding about the finished work because when
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
took the steps apart he found the repair process needed to be changed. So the finished product was not what I expected.
However, after a brief conversation,
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
gladly came back out and explained why he needed to do things differently and repaired one some area that he missed.
In addition, at no additional cost, he patched and repaired a stone wall in front of my home that was not part of the original deal.
I can't be happier with
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
's attitude, professionalism and skills. Do not hesitate to contact him for your masonry needs.
He get's an A+++ from me.
- Richard A.

We are very pleased with the work.
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
came quickly to give an estimate and was able to schedule the work quickly. The workers were punctual and professional. The work performed was of high quality. They were as quiet as possible while working and cleaned up our yard when the work was completed. We will definitely recommend
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
to others and will use them again if we have the need.
- Susan B.

This project came in at budget, and was completed on time.
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
is a busy guy, but he personally handled the details of the project and was very fair, reasonable, and accommodating as the scope of the project became very dynamic, as we added and changed along the way. The porch is now the envy of the neighborhood, and while I waited over a year to write this--I wanted to see if any of it would fall apart, or leak, and really, everything has been great.
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
coordinated with an expert fireplace shop, my own door and roofing company, and my own stone mason. He was very easy to work with and I would recommend that you give them a
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
to earn your business.
Their design folks are awesome. The finishing touches of the Mahogany roof, and the back step design was amazing.
- Pat M.

My front steps are brick and were suffering from a couple of hard winters. The mortar was all crumbling.
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
removed all the broken mortar and made it looks perfect. It looks like original construction.
The culverts under my driveway were finished with stacked stone. This was in bad shape and fell apart every time we mowed around them. I asked
Rolla Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
to just make them better but he turned them into works of art. Every time I back out they are very noticeable. He did an outstanding job. In fact, he made our minds race to figure out what else we could have him do. We haven't come up with anything yet, but when we do he will be my go-to guy.
