"I called them on Tuesday and asked if they could deliver on Friday. They said they offered same day sales and service. He was very happy to set this up for 9:00 am on Friday. I assumed" because I made the appointment 3 days in advance they would be here on time. My bad! By 9:30 they were still not here. I tried calling to see where they were. I was told by a woman they were on their way and they were close to me. I waited another 30 minutes. Nothing. Waited a bit more, finally my phone rings. The lady said that she is his wife and that they had their mobile home vandalized with broken windows, graffiti and other damage, they had to speak to police. I said I understood that things happen. I asked when they could be out. She indicated that they were almost to my house now. Said it would only be a few moments longer. 30 Minutes later she calls me again. She asks for my address, which I had already given them on Tuesday when I made the appointment. 30 minutes later she calls again and said they were headed my way. Finally about 3 hours later, they finally called and said they were at my apartment. I was happy to see they finally arrived. Opened the door and wow. I was greeted by a lady who looked like she just rolled out of bed and threw on the clothes from last night, needed a bath and was dressed inappropriately for a home delivery. She was in short shorts and a very tight tank top that was almost see through. The shorts were so low cut in the back you could see her "rear end split". I have a small child in my house! She seemed friendly enough though so I will give her that much. The man, well he wasn't in much better shape, but I will give him credit as it looked like he had been working hard to get the washer and dryer up to the second floor. He is in repairs and sales, so it looked like he had been hard at work. He
me nice enough and he too seemed friendly enough. He was quick about the work. I showed him were the washer and dryer space was and he got right to work. He hooked them up and he even took time to show me how to work the washer and dryer. Now being a used washer and dryer I didn't expect it to look brand new. So I took the scuffs, dings and the small
and decided to overlook it. This was just going to tide me over until I could finish saving for the new set I wanted. Well, then he states that the "Automatic Dry" feature didn't work because the heat sensor was in it. Hmm. I questioned him about the feature as I don't know much about how they work other than you put the clothes in and push the button. He said it wouldn't matter because the other part of the dryer which was the "TImed Dry" feature worked great. Wrong! He turned it on it started to get warm. I was like okay. It works. I should have listened to that little nag in my head saying something was wrong. He took time to borrow a rag, as he had left his in his truck. He had asked his wife to go get it, but instead she asked me for a rag. Hmm. Ok. But he was nice enough to wipe them down, make sure he left no dirt or fingerprints on the machine. And off they were. I was very excited not to have to go to the laundromat. I had errands to run so I did that first. Came home later in the evening and I plopped in the first load of clothes into the washer. Great! Time to dry them. Turn it on. 30 minutes later the clothes are still very wet. Not damp but wet. Turned in on a again. 30 minutes later. they were still wet. How long does it take to dry clothes? In this dryer about 3 hours for a medium load. Ugh!! My daughter had decided she needed a load of clothes washed too so she had put in load when I had taken mine out. This was at 9:00pm. I stayed up restarting the dryer until 3:00 am until I finally went to bed. I could not figure out why the dryer was not drying, so upon inspecting, the dryer was getting barely warm, not hot enough to really dry the clothes. I give up. I went to bed. Got up at 6:00 am to start my day. Immediately I turn on the dryer again. Hmm. Maybe I did something wrong yesterday as it is getting really hot now! Clothes should be dry in no time.... wait.. why did the dryer just shut off? It has only been like 10 minutes. Maybe something was caught in the door. No.. everything looks fine. Just a regular load of clothes. Push the button to start it again. Nothing. Tried over and over. Nothing. Checked my electrical breakers, checked the dryer, unplugged the dryer, plugged it back in. Nothing. Okay, time to call the guy back. Who answers? The wife. She insists it has to be my electrical breakers as she sees this happen in apartments all the time! I try to explain this is not the electrical breakers in my apartment. She gets irritated an annoyed. She said she will call her husband and tell him. He will be back out. She will call me shortly to let me know when. This is just after lunch. No phone call no nothing. So at 9:30 PM as their website said the are open until 10:00PM I called back again. She said "Oh! I forgot about you! I told him and he said he would be out tomorrow between 10:30am and 11:00 am." Great. Thanks for letting me know. Get up this morning. Waiting for them to show up. At 9:00 am I called to see if they were going still come. No answer. I called at 9:30 am. No answer. Called at 10:00 am no answer. Finally at 11:00 I texted the number I was calling. The guy said I had called his wife's number yesterday and she did not tell him about the dryer and did not tell him she told me he would here at 10:30 am or 11:00 am. Great! I told him I was not happy and he needed to come fix it or I would like a refund. He said how people get messed up all the time, good thing I bought something with a warranty! He said he would come at 3:00pm. So.. your wife set something up for 11:00am.. you are not coming until 3:00pm? Great. Then he texts me again and said thank you for my patience. I gave him details on what it was doing. He offers to replace it with another dryer but it does not match the washer. I opted to just go with the mismatch, even though that is not what I was told I would get. Again, I just wanted something that works. Then he texted me and said he has a working on that would match the one I have. Great! But I can't have it until tomorrow. Uh.. Why? If it works.. I want that one. But it doesn't work. He will fix it and make it work. Never mind. Just bring me one that works. Now I have no working dryer, and a banged up washer. I should have just refused them when I saw them at my door. Lesson learned. No show again! Great! Now I have to fork out more money for another dryer somewhere else. I am out money and have a broken dryer.

"This is our second purchase from
in the past 2 months. We purchased a GE steam dryer. Pricing was competitive but what sets them apart is their "white glove" delivery and installation". It is excellent! Delivery is prompt, efficient, courteous. New venting was installed by the delivery crew. Love the dryer....love the service at

"We purchased a dishwasher, cooktop and range hood from
. The sales staff was very knowledgeable and helpful as we were choosing our appliances. We primarily" worked with
, but
also gave us assistance when he was on vacation. They answered all of our questions. We are pleased with the choices we made. Installation went very well. The two men who installed the appliances arrived on time. They were polite and friendly. They gave us tips on how to use and clean the appliances, showing us the Kitchen Magic stainless cleaner that they prefer. Not only did they clean the exterior of our 3 new appliances, but they also cleaned our stainless steel wall ovens and refrigerator! In our opinion, they went above and beyond to provide good service.

Depends a lot on your current configuration. Rough numbers, $4-7,000 for the generator including autostart and automatic load transfer circuit box and master breakers (usually all come on the generator).

Installation (with pad already inplace and gas hookup - about $500-1000.

Electrical about $800 minimum, to maybe $2500. The $800 will get you a simple transfer switch installation but if you want some household circuits to run on the generator but others not, depending on how your current wiring is run, can run to $2000 to pull existing circuits to a new panel.

The problem is that all circuits that are going to be on the generator, unless you are planning to carry the entire household load, have to go to a separate circuit breaker panel which is fed off the automatic transfer switch, so they get power from either the power company or the generator, depending on which is providing power at the moment. That means the circuits running off either source have to be disconnected from your current breaker box, extended (commonly) over to the new box, and hooked up. All other circuits stay on your current breaker box, to run only off the public power when it is on. If the generator is large enough capactiy for your entire house load of course it costs more, but this circuit termination point moving is not needed, so electrical work drops way off to basically a connection box with the transfer switch.

A couple of words of advice - pay attention to weather protection, fire barrier between the unit and the house (including issues of overhead decks that can catch fire), automatic fire shutoff/suppression, and trickle charging from house power to generator battery. Also read CAREFULLY your power comopany rules on generator installation (commonly requires their signoff), any code restrictions on generators and noise in your area, and if your insurance rate will go up. (It definitely does if you have a fuel tank, I don't know if it does with natural gas-fired generators.)

Welcome to the world of Google ! Google this search phrase - dual fuel downdraft convection oven range

You will find a number of brands that make dual-fuel ranges with convection oven - Jenn-air of course, and GE, Bosch, Kitchenaid, Maytag, LG, Samsung, Wolf, Frigidaire, Thermador, Viking all sellin the US. Almost all major brands make this a dual-fuel convection oven range - find model(s) you like, then start checking with local vendors to see who sells them locally - the big home improvement box stores and Sears, Best Buy for starts.

However, the bad news - according to an article I found, only Jenn-Air still makes downdraft stovetops, although I did find one blog notation about a person buying a European Viking with downdraft. Basically the fan capability in downdraft ranges is just not enough to capture the odors and grease and steam coming off a cooktop, so the other brands all dripped it and recommend an over-stove powered vent hood. Most downdraft units had about a 1/10HP fan that pulled about 300 cfm - the same as a modern bathroom fan,, when to actually cause a reverse (downward) airflow over a range requires more like 1000 cfm or more causing a downward airflow of about 10-20 mph - which would make for a little private windstorm around your stove. People also found they did not like the reduced oven size to accomodate the fan unit.

Thermador and Dacor and probably others make behind the range vent units that stick up a foot or two and pull some of the fumes from the rangetop, though reviews say their performance is iffy and basically only affects the rear burners.

My recommendation - go with an overhead vent hood and eliminate the greasy buildup and high humidity in the kitchen that go with downdraft ranges - you will also pay about half a much as for a Jenn-Air downdraft unit.

I was very pleased with Appliance Loft. The sales rep. showed me several dishwashers with advantages to each. I purchased a

with her help and it's perfect. Installation was also great. This was for a small kitchen and not an easy install. I plan to purchase a refrigerator soon and

is where I'll shop.

There's nothing quite as traumatic as a washing machine that won't start. We called on a Saturday and they came over very quickly. From my description they knew exactly what was wrong. The young lady set about to repair the machine and it was all a blur - flying hands and parts, and then it was finished, just like that. She knew which switch had failed and how to get it replaced in just a few minutes, even with me watching and talking. We're impressed!

The time had come to replace my 34-year-old washer and dryer. I shopped several stores both online and in-store. I found the best selection of washers and dryers at
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
Appliance and More. In addition, the prices were very competitive and the service was excellent - from the sales floor to my home. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything and was provided with helpful insights regarding the various brands the store offered. Needless to say, my knowledge-base regarding washers and dryers needed a serious updating. The salesperson (who also happened to be the store manager) provided me with that education. The equipment I decided to buy had to be ordered and arrived at the store in only two days and was installed in my home two days later. In a matter of four days I had newly manufactured units, the old units were removed, the gas-line to my old washer was capped and the new units were installed and running. Amazing! I had only one problem and that was resolved by the manager the very same day I reported it (the dryer was making a squeaking sound so
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
removed that unit and replaced it with another new unit the next day). It's been nearly 6 weeks since the new units were installed and both work as they should. Would I shop at
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
again? Of course. Would I recommend to you their product line (which included all the major brands) and their service? Without question.

The first thing that happened was they damaged the range. They did give us credit for that.
The next thing was the dishwasher door would not close. This had to be handled by GE as the salesperson for
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
said they were short of help.
The next thing was the freezer started making a loud noise.
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
did send out a person who was in training and he did not know what was wrong. They had to send someone else out. He ordered parts but when he came back to install the new parts decided he would have to tear the whole freezer apart. We did not realize it but after he left the freezer was not working at all. This was over a weekend so by the time we realized it all of the food had spoiled.
The next thing is they discovered that the dishwasher was leaking. It had been damaged and there was a hole in the back of it. By the time they discovered this it had already ruined the wall behind it. This is on an island so is right out in the open and very visible. After some time
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
did send over a handyman to repair the wall. The handyman was terrible and absolutely did not know how to repair it. Several attempts were made to get someone from
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
to come and look at the bungled job but with no success. I finally had to hire a contractor myself to get the wall repaired correctly. So far
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
has not payed and will not even respond.

I needed to replace my washing machine and
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
was recommended to me, so I called, they had two used washers that fit my needs, I picked the one I wanted and they delivered it exactly when they said they would. They have a reasonable delivery fee and a warranty. The technician who came was friendly, stayed to make sure the machine was working properly and cleaned up after himself. He even had to move a few rocks in my landscaping in order to get the machines switched out as I have a very narrow pathway, but he replaced everything just as it was. He was here, switched out the machines and was gone within 45 minutes. I will definitely call upon them the next time I need to replace a major appliance.

After approximately three months from installation, we had significant problems with the double oven which
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
provided and installed and despite numerous visits from the Jenn Air service technician the oven never worked properly. Regardless of which oven was used, top or bottom, the cooking temperature varied to such a degree inside each oven that items in the back of the oven would be burnt and items in the front of the oven would not be cooked. After 3-1/2 years of frustration with the ovens, we decided to replace them with another brand.
After doing much research we decided to purchase
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
Pro double ovens to replace the Jenn Air ovens installed by
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
. When the Jenn Air ovens were removed and the junction box opened the installers discovered that the wiring had not been connected properly by
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
's installers as one of the oven’s 110 leads was not properly secured and had worked its way loose. The wiring had significantly overheated, melted two of the wire nuts together (photos attached) and melted several inches of insulation on one of the wires coming from the oven. Obviously, this is why the oven never functioned as designed, as power to the unit was only half of design at best. More disconcerting, is the fact that this carelessness could have caused a fire with catastrophic results.
On March 10, 2014, I wrote a detailed letter to the owner of
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
, Mr.
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
, explaining what was discovered when the Jenn Air Oven was removed and the wiring problem revealed that his installers had created. The wiring in our home from our electric panel to the oven is aluminum. His installers had used wire nuts to secure our aluminum wire to the copper lead coming from the oven. After a short period of time, the oven connections worked their way loose and shorted out causing the problem. His installers should have used a connector called a "split bolt" (photo attached) which are used to make secure connections when joining aluminum and copper wiring together. Had they used split bolts, this problem would have been averted.
In my letter to Mr.
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
, I explained that my wife and I had decided to purchase a
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
Pro double oven at a cost of approximately $2,800. to replace the Jenn Air as
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
was highly recommended by Consumer Reports and
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
appliances can only be purchased from
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
, not
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
. In my letter, I asked for compensation and asked Mr.
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
to reply to my request.
My letter to Mr.
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
was never answered. I called his office numerous times over the past six months and never got the courtesy of a return phone call to discuss the matter. Obviously,
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
is only interested in making the sale, not addressing problems that arise when the products that they provide and install do not work as intended.

Ok, you should know that they want their money that day. All of it. Then it gets outsourced. And then you are dealing with two companies -- and the left hand does not know what the right is doing.
dScheduling was difficult. The installers arrived late. They rang the bell and didn't introduce themselves -- no signage on truck and no paperwork. I paid for a plumbing disconnect. They came without a wrench and asked me how to do it. Frankly, I should have put a stop on it at that point. They wanted me to sign off before it was even completed. Mess everywhere - nails -- somebody's t-shirt left under the counter -- dings in the wall that required plastering. In spanish, called me a fat old lady (regardless of the fact - I don't expect that). The outsource company did let those workers go and apologized, but it was a bit too late. There was a large seam left and everyone (new workers from the company and 2 persons from
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
) came again to look at it and agreed that it was not a good seam -- it is immediately to the right of the sink and doesn't look good. A third person came to "fix it" -- but apparently no one told him -- he just wanted me to sign off on it. It goes on...you get the picture. I did not sign off that I was satisfied - and I have not heard back from
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
.
Go with a reputable company that does not outsource. Customer service (
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
) was very pleasant but ineffectual in making things right. I will never do a big job through
O Fallon Discount Appliances Provider Name Locked
again --
