We have used
and Kennel to board our dog her entire life--10 years. They take great care of her, and they seem to truly care for all the animals in their care. They live right there on the land where the kennel is located, so I feel like they are always there in case of problems. They know our dog so well, they have even let her stay in their home at times. There is a lot of room for the dogs to run and play, and they are great about giving needed medications, etc.

Quick Details:
He offers in-home sessions, with boarding and training options available. He sells materials directly, or provides you resources and recommendations to buy them on your own. Things like collars, leashes, dog food rolls for training, etc. Packages are goal and objective based not limited to a specific number of sessions. Keep in mind it is on the owner to actually apply the knowledge of these sessions in order to see results. We paid $1,000 for what turned out to be 10+ sessions, and spent another $200 or so on materials. End result was very worth it, and we feel confident in our ability to carry the training further. We even got a second dog. We highly recommend
’s
academy.
The Story:
My wife and I impulsively rescued a beautiful and lovely American Bull-dog
that was on her last days before being put down. She had been a difficult dog to place because she had A LOT of energy, and even more when put on a leash. She would make a scene if she saw other dogs, and exhibit what some might see as aggressive behavior, but really was a dog frustrated that she couldn’t go play with everyone and every dog.
We knew we needed a trainer, because this was the first dog we owned as adults. We hadn’t a clue where to begin to train a dog that didn’t have behavior issues, let alone one this uncontrollable. We couldn’t go with some Petsmart/Petco dog training class because of the fact that when around other dogs on a leash she goes crazy. The reason we picked
’s
is because of reviews we saw online, and that he had a history of working with reactive dogs, specifically bully breads.
Within a day of contacting him we heard back and an appointment was scheduled to evaluate our dog. He arrived on-time, and our dog loved him on site. We discussed our goals and expectations of the training, and he evaluated our dog in our home. We were very upfront that the dog had extreme leash reactivity and that walking
was nightmare. He explained his extensive experience with dog training, how he got into the business and that he is truly passionate about the trade and frequently studies and keeps up on it. We agreed on a basic obedience package, which covered the basics of sit, stay, come-when-called, and leash etiquette. It also included “place mat” training where the dog will go and stay in a predefined place until given a release command. The packages
’t include a specific number of lessons but more requires that we reach our goals in however long that takes within reason.
Session last typically an hour, and cover a few objectives. We were having a lot of success getting
to learn and she enjoyed the sessions. It is important to
that he also see that you and your dog are doing your homework for the sessions to be productive. It wasn’t until our 4th session that
actually got to see her leash behavior first hand. He realized we weren’t exaggerating regarding her behavior and that we needed some special care. So we moved up from pinch collars to an electric collar. He trained us how to use, and was very sensitive to our concerns regarding how humane this solution was. After a session with the collar he knew that it would be better for us and
if he boarded her for a week or two to really recondition this behavior. Boarding and doggie boot-camp packages are typically extra compared to the basic obedience package, but
was dedicated to producing the results within the quote we all agreed on so he swallowed the cost.
After a few weeks with
in doggie-boot camp we got our
back better than ever, and she was still the happy dog we loved, but way less crazy. During the time he had her, he kept us informed with videos and texts regarding her progress. We worked with
a few more weeks after that, but eventually got to a point where we could manage on our own. Even though we no longer see
on a weekly basis we could still call him up for some emergency maintenance sessions if needed. We reached our goals and know a lot more about the dog training process.

I was 100% satisfied and have found an excellent place to board my dog and get more training. I have used other Jacksonville facilities and have not been as pleased as I was with this one. Trustworthy , clean, professional, thorough.

Our cat was well taken care of, staff was always ready with detailed updates on how he was doing when we called to check in. They were friendly and professional and the facility is nice. We would recommend brickyard to anyone for pet boarding.

She loved the place and I did too. There are webcams where you can watch and see your pet play. Due to the length of stay, a batch was included for free. My dog came home happy and did not have any adverse reactions.

I received this dog for foster care 3 weeks after he left
New London Animal Boarders Provider Name Locked
Kennel. He was described as one of a large group of former breeding dogs that were filthy with urine/feces and knotted. I was told this dog was vomiting frequently and had worms but was treated after leaving the breeder. When we got him, he required further treatment for worms, had a brittle, yellow stained coat with clumps of hair apparently cut out. His vomiting issue eventually improved although he had multiple x-rays in an effort to identify the issue. He still vomits water, reason unknown. He wasn't able to jump up, his rear legs were apparently weak and lacked muscle compared to my other dogs. One rear leg has an unusual range of motion and he has a knobby front wrist despite out vet's estimated age of 1 year or less when he arrived. He was unsocialized with humans and clearly depended on our other dogs. Thankfully he's doing so much better after 6 months. we've adopted him now and while we still have to accomodate his special needs, he continues to improve. This kennel is listed by the Humane Society as one of the worst puppy mills in the US, readily verified at their website. Based on my own experience, I certainly cannot recommend purchase of puppies or any dogs from this breeder.

Bad experience!
When we picked up our dog, she seemed traumatized. As soon as we arrived home, she urinated for a very long time as if someone had forgotten to let her out. Then she defecated, again as if she had not been walked or let out. Then she drank two bowls of water as if she had been missed. Her behavior was erratic and had difficulty calming down.
I shared my story with a dog trainer and they believe she had been neglected during her stay.
When checking out and paying at
New London Animal Boarders Provider Name Locked
, I asked how she did. The lady said there are no notes in the computer. It made us think she was left in a kennel and not tended to.
I will not be returning to
New London Animal Boarders Provider Name Locked
and will share my story with friends so they avoid this kennel.
Another red flag is they do not let you see where your dog will be staying. Now, this all makes me suspicious of their practices.

This was our first visit to GCB&B. Our German
New London Animal Boarders Provider Name Locked
dog,
New London Animal Boarders Provider Name Locked
, was boarded for a week while we travelled north for a wedding. Upon her arrival,
New London Animal Boarders Provider Name Locked
was examined by a vet (no charge) and it was found that she had bleeding from a ruptured cyst on her side.
New London Animal Boarders Provider Name Locked
was treated and we were constantly kept informed of her status - all at no charge. When we picked her up we were given a prescription for two weeks of antibiotics and told how to care for her injury, which was much better by then, but still needed attention. GCB&B keeps your pets separated from other pets while they're exercised - the best reason for boarding them there! No injuries, cross-contamination, etc. from somebody else's pet - my biggest fear! Additionally, we were sent photos of
New London Animal Boarders Provider Name Locked
playing in the exercise yard: $10 for three or four photos, a great price and you can see how your pet is reacting. You can get all kinds of play options, all very reasonable. The staff was terrific from start to finish, and I know that our
New London Animal Boarders Provider Name Locked
was well taken car of. We were absolutely satisfied with everything at GCB&B, and expect to be using them again.

did a great job! The kennel is set up so that cats occupy a separate floor from the dogs so that they are less anxious. The animals were allowed to be kept together, and were comfortable plus they got plenty of attention. The staff gave them their medications and provided a report card for each animal that gave feedback on how well they ate and if they were having any problems. We boarded them for three days - Friday to Sunday, and were surprised with a discount for one day because we were new customers. The cost was very reasonable - the same as a similar stay at our former vet's office, but the facilities and level of attention was no where near what
New London Animal Boarders Provider Name Locked
was able to provide.
