"It went really well.
, the owner called back the same day I contacted them and made an appointment for the following week. The inspection" was very thorough and detailed, the report was easy to read. Any time I had questions, the employees, usually
, contacted me almost immediately to answer them. I will use them again in the future. I did think they were expensive, but worth it.

"He was very thorough and answered all of my questions in detail. I would definitely recommend

Home inspection

For most of us, our home is the biggest investment we will ever make. For those preparing to buy, a quality home inspection is key. An inspection is usually required for a home purchase. A highly rated home inspector will look at every nook and cranny to gauge structure stability, present and potential dangers. But remember, a home inspection is not a guarantee or a warranty - it may not find everything.

Angie's Answers

It really depends on where you are and the type of work.  In Texas most home inspectors are only trained in general areas of interest and have no detailed knowledge of construction practices.  Some do after having carrerrs in other fields including engineering or as general contractors/home builders.  If you are wondering if a completed job was done in a professional manner appearance wise and have minor concerns an inspector can help you.  If it is more extensive hire professionals from the different fields to inspect the respective work.  Plumber for the plumbing, electrician for electrical, etc.  An experienced GC or inspector can do an initial inspection and advise you whether you should have the concerns further investigated by the trades.  Remember, they can't tell much about what they can't see so framing and insulation concerns will be hard to verify.

It's a little unusual to do this except in cases of fixer-upper properties but you should call a local general contractor with experience renovating/remodeling homes in the neighborhood.  They'll know the typical problems with the homes there and what to look out & budget for.  For example, here in San Antonio many of the homes built in the mid-fifties to 60's have lead drains that were not put in properly or were installed in such a way that repairs are not quick or cheap.  Many homes even older have the same drains but seem to be less hassle to repair.  Homes in my neighborhood have a problem with improper supply lines (wrong type of copper) which break due to corrosion.  Just make sure the contractor you hire to go over the property with you has done significant work on homes in the area on similar homes.

Are the heat pumps commercial or residential units?
Are the heat pumps Package or Split System?
Are there actually 33 PTAC units?
Are you an EPA certified person( refrigerant )?

Here is my suggestion, break it down into manageable portions(ie one heat pump and a few PTAC units every other month) to keep from being overloaded.
Clean/Replace filters
Check/inspect electrical wiring and connections
Check amperage draw of compressors/motors
Check capacitance of start and run capacitors
Check contractors/relays for wear/pitting
Check refrigerant levels and record superheated/subcooling
Check external static pressures across air handler(s)
Check deltaT (return and supply air temps)
Lubricate motors( if applicable)
Inspect Belts/Pulleys( if applicable)
Clean outdoor coils
Clean indoor coils

Start there and HAVE FUN!!!

Home Inspection reviews in Montreal

Very efficient, lots of info, brought up things I was unaware were not done ( but hubby was - he has been going through his list of repairs since) I suspect the younger home buyers are quite picky and not do it your selfers like we are so I did not want any surprises when we list the house. My husband does not "hear" my requests and questions concerning a lot of the items but will listen to an official and another man, worth the money for sure. I recommend him for buyer or seller.

went way beyond a typical inspection and taught me about the house and the mechanical systems - how to use it effectively, how to maintain it, etc. I thought I was a pretty savvy homeowner but I learned a few things from
Montreal Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
. He is highly professional, exceptionally knowledgable & and thoroughly likable. I can highly recommend him.

was very thorough, spent almost 5 hours at our place, while even giving us a discounted rate in the end, because we didn't need the report right away.
He was very amicable, patient in explaining and kind in manners, great to interact with. His knowledge of the ins and outs was extensive, but he admitted where his limits where, which I hold in high regard.
All in all, he helped us a lot to realize where we are at and what needs to be done, he even gave us some tips and tricks on easy-to-do DIY jobs.
A strong recommendation!

The inspection was very good and thorough. He notified me of several issues that we needed to address after the purchase or to use as negotiation points. I like having a punch list of items needing attention.
The one area I was less than 100% satisfied was the pool inspection. I'd save my money next time and have a pool company do an more thorough inspection.

We selected this company because of the reviews on Angie's. The set up of the appointment and the time that the inspection showed up were as expected. The inspection was generally below what we expected. Although the garage was just one level high, the inspector did not go up there to inspect the roof. The secondary place where the roof could have been inspected was 2 stories high and he would not go up there because of the height, however, he still could have gone up to the garage and gotten a closer look from up there, there are issues with the roof. The inspector instead used binoculars and pointed out discolorations on the roof that he described as possibly paint. It turned out to be something else. Another example of our disappointment and of what we expected to be better; the inspector pointed out a "sump pump" in a basement room. It was actually a pump that the bathroom uses to take the water out of the basement. Our agent nicely corrected the inspector as she knew what it was. He did not want to include on the report certain things we noticed that could be safety issues, he did so after we insisted. Overall we were not at all impressed with the performance of the inspector, based on the reviews (of which he jokingly said some are fake), we expected much more. We would definitely not recommend this inspector or the company based on our experience.

was extremely thorough and took time to show me proper maintenance of the various aspects of my home. He was worth well beyond what we paid and I will enthusiastically recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection in the future. 5 stars!!

arrived early and brought alone another inspector he was training. They were very thorough, starting outside and then inside going from top to bottom. He explained issues he saw along the way and answered questions not

-coating the facts. He also looked over a large barn (including the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing) on the property even though it probably should have been an extra charge to do so. The report was extensive and he sent detailed PDFs of repairs for issues he found and possible costs associated with them. We are very happy with

Nick is the owner and inspector. He is punctual, professional, thorough, and will work to have the inspections completed to your needs. This was our second inspection within a month using
Montreal Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
. Nick performs a well organized inspection of the property checking every detail. In our first inspection in
Montreal Home Inspectors Provider Name Locked
, an "immaculate" property was not so fine; in fact, the inspection results

us to cancel the sales agreement. In that case, the house had a ridge vent installed but the vent was never cut in the wood sheathing at the peak; that was one hot attic. Nick will also explain full details of the inspection as he proceeds and gladly answer questions. I am a mechanical engineer working in a business that demands unquestionable quality and attention to detail. I give Nick an absolute thumbs up as an inspector you will be satisfied with. Hopefully, our latest venture will result in a successful closing. If not, we will have to negotiate a quantity deal with Nick. An A+ and thanks again.
