"I tried it for quite a while but there just wasn't enough meniscus available and it just hurt so he turned me over to his partner. His physician assistant is very good. I didn't" feel that I was missing out by not talking to the doctor. He is very knowledgeable. The operation he performed went very easily and I was up walking around right afterwards. Then it started hurting again because I didn't have enough meniscus left. He also cleaned out arthritis. There was a lot he had to do. Every time I asked for anything, there was someone that called me back right away that could do what I needed. They were almost on the minute on punctuality. He was kind of gruff with me in the beginning but then my husband showed up for a visit. After than he would show up on visits just with the physician assistant so he could talk to my husband. They were upfront and showed me pictures. He did what he said he was going to do because he said he didn't know what he would find. While it wasn't effective, it was what he said. He didn't make any promises. All the bills went to my insurance. I would definitely go back to him if it was a problem he could deal with.

"I just had an arthroscopy on my right knee and the doctors, the nurses, the surgery room, recovery, everything was first rate. In the past, I've used the emergency room for a couple" of minor things and that's all A's also. What I don't like there is their billing is just awful. The clinic, even though they know you have insurance and you have coverage, they send you threatening notices about your bills because they know the elderly will pay their bills before they eat and buy groceries, and even though they can get reimbursed, they would rather you pay with threatening notices and they make you wait for the reimbursement.

"I have only seen him once far. I was in a lot of pain and was recommended to see Dr.
. When I called for scheduling, they were able to fit me in the next day" if I saw Dr.
. They drained water out of my knee and he said he would let me know when the culture was done. I expected a call from his staff. However, Dr. Brout called himself and I was very impressed with that. Overall, he was really good.

Sounds like you should be pursuing a disability claim.  Also, you could speak to your previous doctor frankly about your concerns.
Have they made orthotics for your shoes that distribute your weight better?

Hi,

This is James W. with Member Care. Thanks for posting your question.

It looks like when you signed up online on 8/5/2014, that you accidentally joined our greater Portland chapter instead of our Salem/Corvallis chapter that your zip code falls under. I have transferred your subscription to that chapter, so you will now have access to the correct area.

I hope this information helps! Please let me know if I can assist further. You can respond to this thread or submit a new Answers post. You can also reach us at 1-866-783-2980. We're open weekdays from 8:00 am - 9:00 pm and Saturdays 8:00 am - 5:00 pm ET.

I have been seeing him for 4 years. He also did 2 hip replacements for my husband. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. He does not push you into surgery unless you absolutely need it. He is close to where I live. He has a friendly and courteous staff. I have never had a problem getting in to see the doctor when I need to.

I like the doctor, it's Dr.
Liberty Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
. I like him very much. He seems very concerned. His office staff dropped the ball, several times. But, I do like him. He is our personal physician. I'm not crazy about his staff. I think they missed the boat. They forgot to do some blood work for my husband. Then, it was another trip in there to get it done. With mine, I had provided some samples and they were unable to do the test that I was waiting on. There was stuff like that and when I called them and said, "Do you want me to provide you with another sample?" They said, "No, if you're still having trouble why don't you just go to a gastroenterologist ?" I thought, "Well, crap." I've told him about that too.

Just a great experience all around. I had knee surgery end of January, and the pain I had prior to surgery was gone the day after surgery, ( I had torn both meniscus). The recovery period was not as fast as I expected but everybody is different. I really felt good at 4 months, and I'd say at 6 months I was about 100%. Biggest challenge was going up inclines and up and down stairs, my advise is just got slow.

. I got right in but I didn't feel he cared about the injury and said yes a slight break keep wearing the boot and I will see you in a couple weeks. The pain got worse rather than better so I called 3 times to advise them of the pain and what I should do as my appointment was still over a week away. I had a followup appointment with Dr.

will see me. They took me for x-rays of my ankle, then I saw Dr.

. He said so you still hurt? yes Well you aren't getting surgery....I said I don't want surgery I just want the pain to go away. He never really examined my foot, said he didn't like the boot emergency gave me and that insurance might not pay for another boot. I said look I don't care I just want injury fixed cast it, put me in another boot, do and MRI, anything. He said if I insist he will authorize an MRI. I checked out, handing in paperwork for MRI...a week went by and no call from office on MRI...I called questioned what was taking so long, they said they needed him to dictate report, I said I don't care book the MRI, after I called my insurance and got an authorization number they scheduled and appointment out of their office with Xray of New Mexico the following week. I went and they said here is a disc your doctor is going to want to see this and please don't be walking too much. My appointment was that afternoon so I went to the appointment early, gave them the disc. Dr.

said there is a possible tear of the one of my tendons that I needed to keep wearing the boot for two more weeks and come back that it takes time and that his response to surgery or non surgery was the same. I continued to hurt, I sat around and kept it elevated, didn't walk much at all in this heavy boot and returned for my appointment. He said well I can try and do surgery to repair it but sometime just a cut makes you think that it is repaired and the pain will go away. I said really....what other choice....you can keep wearing the boot for 3 more weeks and it will probably be healed by that point. I immediately left his office, called insurance to check procedures for a 2nd opinion and was told I could just make the appointment. I did just that with another office, he examined my foot and said that I had several torn tendons and ligaments and that surgery should have been done at the time of injury not 6 weeks later said that I may not get total function of my ankle back. I had surgery 3 days later and just in the last week have been able to put any weight on my foot. I would never go see Dr.

nor would I refer anyone to him. I have since talked to a supervisor over a group of physical therapists and she said there is not one of them that would go to or refer anyone to Dr.

Dr.
Liberty Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
performed surgery on my right shoulder. I had received 2 previous surgeries in 2009 and was unhappy with the results. Dr
Liberty Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
assured me he would repair the shoulder. I allowed him to perform the surgery and within weeks of having a total anterior capsule reconstruction I gained full range of motion. The pain from the surgery was not bad at all and I am told that Dr.
Liberty Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
takes great care while performing surgery to reduce the amount of post operative pain. Today, years later the shoulder is still performing as designed with no pain and no issue. I have recently discovered I have torn my ACL in my knee and went to Dr.
Liberty Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
for treatment, only to learn that he is focusing entirely on shoulders today. However, I was placed in the most capable hands of Dr.
Liberty Knee Replacement Surgeons Provider Name Locked
.I send all of my friends, family and people who say "my shoulder is killing me" to Dr. Adkisons office.
