Couple months passed and received a renewal notice in the mail for $95. I called the company and was transferred to billing where I was assured I was renewed not billed for the service. I was told the discrepancy in the billing amount was the $97.80 included a surcharge, if it was paid by credit card, and the $2.80 wouldn't have been deducted. I checked my bank statements as I had paid by check and was charged the full amount of $97.80. I would call back but if billing couldn't get it right when I first talked to them of the discrepancy its not worth the $2.80 of my time. Looking at the bill more closely it look like the $2.80 appears to be FUEL surcharge, which billing should have informed me.
I have tried to log into their website on several occasions and get an error message saying my account is inactive when I was trying to pay my initial bill in May 2014. I tried to work with the ladies that work there to resolve the problem for several days and was eventually told they had to contact their IT people and would get back to me which they never did. I tried to log in again today,
I can't rate their price since I haven't compared it with other companies, but as of now I am unlikely to renew with
THE "F": I live 20 freeway minutes from the location of the service so asked i be called a half hour before they were arriving, which they did. Trouble is, THEY WENT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS ... they went to my home address instead of the service address. Headquarters very apologetic, offered a free "return visit", and we rescheduled. Again they called saying they were on their way, I drove over, waited, and waited. This time THEY WENT TO THE WRONG STATE! Correct street address, wrong State! I just couldn't believe it. But I'd already wasted over 3 hours of my time and money so I waited another 45 minutes for technician to arrive. This fellow was VERY strange. Hard to describe, but it was a little like talking to a robot ... not listening to what i had to say, not taking the slightest interest in what i was experiencing, etc. The service work was for my duplex and the guy said he'd only do half of it! I told him he better call headquarters (Omaha) because of my frustration ... he said "I don't deal with money matters". I flip out ... . he calls, and of course, they tell him to do the entire building, which he does.
THE 'A': I have to say, I thought he did an excellent and thorough job .. spending quite a bit of time on the property. Had it not been for the awful screwups above, I would have rated entire experience an "A">
I would like to add they stood behind their "free return visit" and that technician was terrific.
