"I called
Independence Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
on a Monday to see how soon they could work our project into their schedule and let him know we had Saturday deadline. I also let him know I was considering purchasing his 2 painters for 8 hours for $400 deal. We played phone tag until Thursday. He said he could have painters here the next day at 8:30 am. They didn't arrive until 10:30, but worked steady for 8 hours and did a fabulous job. They were able to prime and paint one coat on all the ceilings and prime and paint 1 coat on most of the walls. I could have paid the normal hourly rate to have them stay or come back and finish, but our budget is tight on this project and DH and I finished it ourselves. We were pleased with their work and will call again. Note: We did a lot of prep work ourselves so they would have more time to paint and had removed all the baseboards, doors, and light plate covers; damp dusted all surfaces etc. And all the floors had been removed for replacement so no drop cloths and very little taping was needed.

"provider did an excellent job repairing cracks, but painted only part of the wall as he did not bring proper ladder(s) He also failed to to bring proper vacuum to clean up. He did not communicate properly re the job and what I would need to have on hand re the job. He appeared to be rushing to finish so he could maximize his payment versus the amount of timespent on the job. This is the first "deal" I got from offers on A's List where the entity or workman seemed to want to take shortcuts re work as he was being paid but a fraction of the actual amt that would be due but for the deal. It seems to me that if I were accepting 1/2 of what I would normally receive that I would still give full and unbridled effort so that I might be hired again or be reccommended to neighbors.

"He was professional, helpful, courteous, and did an excellent job. He also did some additional work on our sliding wood doors. Bought new tracks and repaired them himself."

"The screen repair was done well. He did not paint the woodwork in one of the bedrooms and said that I told him I didn't want it painted, which I do not recall having said. The other painted bedroom has some spots on the wall behind the door where something brushed up against the wall. There is a spot on the sheets of one of the beds where he dropped paint although he appeared to have covered everything with plastic before painting. The worst thing though was the ceiling fan he installed. The fan could be turned on at the wall switch, which turned the light and the fan on. The chain to turn off the fan would not pull. So the light and fan could be turned on but the fan could not be turned off without turning the light off as well. Fortunately my son was able to repair the fan for me. The handyman did not bother to tell me about the ceiling fan before he left. I found out when I turned it on and could not stop the fan without turning the whole thing off.

is a very likable person as well as a professional. His crew was professional. Did repairs first day and came back second day to finish project after ceiling repairs had dried. Did a good job of cleaning up afterward. I would recommend

, the owner, is very detail oriented. It is very nice to have someone be very down to earth and not try to push you into signing a contract. His crew were all very pleasant to work with and completed the job very quickly. The owner was there everyday with his employees making sure they kept the quality above par. I could not be happier with his level or service and professional mentality. Would definitely recommend.

seemed like a nice person, but he was very distracted while at our home. He is having a difficult time managing his workload (by his own account). apparently very busy. had workers sitting outside our home waiting to be paid for another job. his price was not competitive, so we went with another contractor. based on his work overload, I doubt if we would have selected him anyway. Maybe he was having a bad day?

"I contacted the owner with a last minute, rush project on a weekend (via Angie's List email) and he responded almost immediately, and was at my house first thing Monday morning. He made suggestions for a way to improve the look of the installation, and was done in under 3 hours, and charged a very fair, reasonable price. He cleaned up his mess, and left the room looking better than when he found it. I'll use his services again.
